It had been one month since Nora came back from her apartment, back to the Mansion. Jimmy had asked her to come back immediately but she refused.
"No matter what you say, I'm not coming back!" She had yelled into the phone.
He had tried using threats, but of course the threats weren't working this time around.
"Come on, Nora, just please come back," his voice softened when he found out that she wasn't going to yield in to threats.
"So I will continue seeing those disgusting sights of you and your numerous lovers?"
There was silence, and then he spoke up, "Fine, I'll stop them from coming over, if that's what you want," she heard his frustrated sigh.
Nora pursed her lips, "That means, you'd go out to see them."
"Ugh! Come on Nora!"
"I'm not coming back then," she said simply.
"Please, okay, okay, fine! They won't come here, and I won't go there too," she heard his grunt.
"I know that's not from.your heart. It's fine though, you can keep seeing them, and I will just stay here."
"I promise Nora. I won't do both if you come back."
She arched her brow, feeling skeptical about it, "Hm, that feels suspicious," she blurted out.
"What else do you want? I just promised you.."
"I'll think about it," she had hung up on him.
Since she has come back, so far so good, he had kept his promise, although with grudges.
Nora placed his plate of omelette in front of him, "There you go," she said quietly.
"Thank you," he replied, and began to eat.
"Let me go get your coffee," she turned on her heels, and walked a few steps to the kitchen but stopped, "Hm?" She held her head that was beginning to spin.
"What is the matter with me all of a sudden?"
She blinked her eyes, and tried moving forward but her vision was getting blurry, "Oh my God," she whispered.
"Where is.." he turned around to see Nora who was busy battling with herself.
"What are you doing? Where is my coffee?" He frowned.
She took some steps backwards, and then fell to the ground. Jimmy froze.
"Nora?" He quickly got up from his chair, and rushed to where she lay.
"Nora? Nora?!" He shook her for a while.
"What the f**k just happened?" He carried her in bridal style to the his room upstairs, and called the family doctor.
------
"So.."
"She is one month pregnant."
Jimmy raised his brows, his eyes widened in shock, which was soon replaced with interest.
'Nora is pregnant? Interesting...'
"Wow! This is great news! Thank you so much doctor."
"You're welcome Mr. Robinwood," he shook hands with Jimmy, "All you just have to do, is make sure she is not mentally or physically stressed, she should eat a lot, and rest a lot."
Jimmy's were gleaming with excitement, "That's a sure thing Kai, thank you so much," he laughed, patting his shoulder.
"I shall take my leave now Mr. Robinwood," he bowed slightly, and left the room.
Jimmy skipped about the room happily, "Oh she is pregnant! Yes! Finally! Haha!"
A free hours passed, and Nora opened her eyes. Jimmy was sitting besides her, excitement still in his eyes.
"You've woken up," he grinned.
"Wh- what happened?" She held her head, and coughed slightly.
"Easy there," he quickly picked a glass of water by the beside table, and gave it to her.
Nora arched her brows, "Huh?"
"Have it."
She took it from him, still wondering why Jimmy of all people would want to do something as kind as that to her.
"So.. what happened to me?"
"You're pregnant," the excitement in his eyes turned to mischief.
Nora eyes widened, and she began to fidget. What was she going to tell him?
"It's fine.. I know it's not my child," he added, a mischievous smile still plastered on his face.
She gulped, her heart still racing.
"Who's the father by the way?" He shrugged.
"I.. don't know," she looked away. A cold sweat broke out on her forehead.
"You don't know?" The smile on his face turned into a deep frown.
"I honestly don't know him. He was someone I met at the office."
Jimmy gave her a long lingering look. The frown on his lips slowly curved back into a smile which turned into a grin, and he burst out laughing hard.
"I always knew you were so naive, but not this foolish! Now you're pregnant and you don't know who the father is?!"
She wondered why it had gotten him pissed. He stood up, "How am I supposed to legally claim the child as mine if I don't know who you had slept with?" He gritted his teeth. He was no longer smiling.
"I didn't know it would result to pregnancy.."
"You're twenty four Nora, what do you think you are? An old hag who's infertile?"
Her eyes teared up, "I.."
Jimmy noticed her expression and then remembered what the doctor said. Sh*t!
"Okay, fine, I'm sorry," he sighed, "Don't cry," he went back to her side.
She looked away refusing to look at him, "Come on now, I just said I'm sorry."
"Okay, okay, it's fine if you don't know the father, that's not a problem anyways, I could still call the child mine," he shrugged.
Nora's heart dropped. This child was someone else's, how would she allow Jimmy just claim being the father?
She shook her head.
"What's that for?" He asked,
"Nothing."
Jimmy patted her head, "it's good I take care of you. I don't want anything happening to that child," he sauntered out of the room.
"Even being pregnant doesn't make a difference to him. He still cares about the child, and not me," she shook her head. She lay back on the bed, her eyes on the ceiling.
"I still don't know who he is, how am I supposed to tell him that I'm pregnant?" She bit her lips, she didn't want Jimmy claiming being the father of the child when he obviously wasn't.
"I have to find him, I just have to."
