94.44% Reborn as Rebekah Mikaelson / Chapter 17: A New Resolve

Capítulo 17: A New Resolve

Exhausted and emotionally drained, the Mikaelson siblings emerged from the cave where they had sealed their parents. The air was thick with a heavy silence, broken only by their quiet footsteps as they made their way back home. Despite their fatigue, there was a collective sense of relief—they no longer had to live under the shadow of their parents' wrath.

Once home, the siblings instinctively gravitated towards the same room, finding comfort in each other's presence. They huddled together on the floor, a throwback to their childhood days. It wasn't long before sleep claimed them all, offering a temporary escape from their tumultuous reality.

In the early hours of the morning, Rebekah stirred. She quietly left the room and made her way back to the cave. The dawn light cast eerie shadows on the walls, emphasizing the gravity of what they had done. She stood at the entrance, contemplating the irony of the situation. This very cave, which would one day tell their story, now held their parents imprisoned—ensuring their safety at a significant cost.

Rebekah muttered a spell under her breath, ensuring that only Mikaelson blood could access the cave. As she stood there, lost in her thoughts, she sensed the presence of her siblings behind her. Turning around, she saw the concern etched on their faces.

Klaus and Elijah stepped closer. "How are you feeling?" Elijah asked gently.

Tears welled up in Rebekah's eyes. "Are we messed up? Am I messed up for suggesting locking our own parents up in this cave for eternity?"

Without hesitation, her siblings enveloped her in a tight hug, offering their silent support and warmth. The physical closeness provided a fleeting comfort, but Rebekah's mind drifted back to her mother. She remembered the precaution she had taken—giving Esther her blood and cursing her. If Esther ever tried to resurrect, she would become a vampire, a fate she would despise.

Rebekah broke free from her thoughts and looked at her siblings. "Everything is okay. We should go back home and pack our belongings. We need to leave this village."

Back at their home, the siblings moved with a sense of urgency, packing their belongings. Rebekah entered the room holding a small wooden box. She opened it to reveal five intricately designed rings.

"I've been working on these for a long time," she said, handing a ring to each of her brothers. "These are spatial rings. You can store your belongings inside them."

The rings sparkled with a faint magical glow as the siblings marveled at their new possessions. They quickly packed their belongings into the rings, grateful for the convenience they provided.

Before leaving the village, they made one final stop at Ayana's home. The old witch greeted them with a knowing smile. Rebekah stepped forward, her gratitude evident in her eyes.

"Thank you for everything, Ayana. We couldn't have done this without your help."

Ayana nodded. "Remember your promise, Rebekah. Look after my descendants."

Rebekah clasped Ayana's hand. "I promise. If I ever encounter your descendants, I will help them in any way I can."

The siblings said their goodbyes, their hearts heavy but determined. They knew their journey was far from over, and their next destination loomed large in their minds—Norway, where Freya awaited.

As they left the village, the early morning sun cast long shadows on the path ahead. The Mikaelsons walked with a renewed sense of purpose, ready to face whatever challenges lay before them. Together, they would find Freya and ensure their family's safety, no matter the cost.

The road to Norway was long and uncertain, but they moved forward with the strength of their bond, prepared for the trials that awaited them. Their story was just beginning, and they would face it as they always had—side by side, as a family.
