Capítulo 7: Full Moon

The full moon cast an eerie glow over the forest as the Mikaelson siblings gathered in a secluded cave. The flickering light from the campfire danced on the walls, creating shadows that seemed to come alive. The atmosphere was thick with tension and anticipation, a reminder of the curse that loomed over their family.

Rebekah sat quietly, her eyes fixed on the flames. Her thoughts were a whirlwind of fear and uncertainty. In three years, her youngest brother, Henrik, would die, and their family would become vampires. The thought terrified her, the future uncertain and dark. Lost in her thoughts, she barely noticed when both Elijah and Klaus reached out, each taking one of her hands.

Her heart pounded in her chest, a mix of excitement and dread. She felt the warmth of their hands, the silent support they offered, and she couldn't help but feel a rush of conflicting emotions. She could see the way they looked at her now, different than before, and it only added to her confusion.

Breaking the silence, Rebekah cleared her throat. "Let me tell you guys a story," she said, her voice steady despite her inner turmoil. "A story about how the werewolves came to be."

Kol, ever curious, leaned forward. "How do you know this story, Bekah?"

She met his gaze, a mysterious smile playing on her lips. "I have seen everything as if I was there myself," she replied.

Her brothers exchanged glances, intrigued and eager to hear more. Rebekah took a deep breath and began her tale.

"Long ago, in a time before we can remember, there was a powerful tribe of Native American witches. Among them was a woman named Inadu. She was not an ordinary witch; the Elders had bestowed her great power throughout her mother's pregnancy, hoping she would become a symbol of prosperity for their tribe. However, Inadu was different. From the moment she was born, she craved more power. She became a terror, killing members of her own tribe to feed her insatiable hunger for magic.

Her tribe, desperate to stop her, sought to end her life. Four of the tribe's strongest elders each imbued a part of their magic into a mighty ax. They handed this weapon to Inadu's own mother, the only one who could get close enough to kill her. With a heavy heart, Inadu's mother struck her down with the enchanted ax.

But Inadu was cunning. In her last moments, she cast a final spell, using her own death to empower it. This spell created the werewolf curse, binding all those present to the full moon. They were forced to change into the very beasts that had hunted her down, becoming the first werewolves. Her mother was the first Crescent wolf, marking the beginning of the seven original bloodlines of werewolves.

Even in death, Inadu's power grew. Her spirit haunted her fellow tribesmen, driving them to desperation. They eventually burned her remains, but not all the pieces could be destroyed. As long as the bones were together, her power continued to grow. The indestructible bones were distributed among four families, each charged with keeping them apart, ensuring that Inadu could never rise again."

Rebekah paused, looking around at her brothers. Their faces were etched with fascination and awe. She knew this story would serve a greater purpose in the future, reminding them that there were far more powerful and darker forces in the world than they had ever imagined.

"How do you know all this, Bekah?" Klaus asked, his voice a whisper.

Rebekah smiled enigmatically. "It's a long story, Niklaus. One that perhaps I'll share another time. But remember, knowledge is power, and stories have a way of becoming reality if we let them. There are forces in this world darker and more powerful than we can imagine. We must be careful in the future."

The fire crackled, filling the silence that followed her words. Rebekah's heart still raced, but now there was a sense of purpose. She had shared the tale to prepare her brothers and to remind herself of the power within her. The future was uncertain, but she was determined to face it head-on, with her family by her side.

As the night wore on, the siblings sat together, the bond between them growing stronger under the light of the full moon. Rebekah felt a sense of calm wash over her. Whatever challenges lay ahead, she knew they would face them together.

With a small smile, she looked around at her brothers. "Maybe next time, I'll tell you an interesting story about the first ever immortals."

Their eyes widened with curiosity, but they knew better than to press her for more tonight. Rebekah's stories were not just tales; they were lessons, warnings, and perhaps even keys to their survival. And as the fire continued to burn brightly, the Mikaelsons found solace in each other's company, ready to face whatever the future held.
