Capítulo 54: Chapter 54: Card Art

Alex Parker pondered whether players in this parallel world would understand and accept the world view of "I Am MT" and remained optimistic.

Based on past experiences, "I Am MT" gained initial popularity among World of Warcraft players but soon spread to younger people who did not play Warcraft.

The humorous style, cute art design, and relatively rich and compact content of "I Am MT" allowed it to become a completely independent story, detached from the large IP of Warcraft.

In the previous world, many players who never played World of Warcraft also liked "I Am MT" and were even drawn into World of Warcraft because of it.

Of course, Alex wouldn't just throw out "I Am MT" unchanged. He would definitely make some subtle adjustments to gradually introduce the game world view of "I Am MT" to the players of this world.

...

After completing the sketch of Ai Mu Ti, Alex continued to draw the sketches of characters like Sha Man, Dumb Thief, Liao Ren, and others.

These classic images were still fresh in Alex's mind, allowing him to draw them quite accurately from memory. However, it was difficult for him to perfectly recreate the unique supporting characters from memory alone.

"The speed is a bit slow, alright, time for some boosts."

Alex first found the Super Accelerator in his bracelet and clicked to use it. This tool could greatly enhance his efficiency, making it perfect for intensive work sessions.

Next, Alex used the Memory Replay Potion to search for memories related to the characters of "I Am MT".

Alex had drawn a lot of tools this time, so he used them without hesitation, needing to quickly finish the character sketches to keep up with the schedule.

Memories from the past gradually became clear. Alex didn't recall the content of the "I Am MT" anime but chose to directly recall the illustrations from the "I Am MT" mobile game.

In the previous world, the "I Am MT" mobile game, after many years and numerous version updates, had a total of 1000 cards in its illustration book, including 425 combat character cards, while the rest were monster cards.

Of course, many of these were duplicates. For example, the five-star and five-star+ versions of a character card only differed in their borders, with the original artwork unchanged.

The main character cards, such as Ai Mu Ti, had up to 11 versions in the illustration book, including four-star, four-star+, five-star, five-star+, five-star+3, six-star (three forms), and seven-star (three forms).

Currently, Alex didn't need so many star levels. In his plan, the first version would only open up to five-star+3 (limit), with higher levels to be released later.

This way, each main character card only needed three illustrations: four-star (blue quality), five-star (purple quality), and five-star+3 (purple quality).

With the number of levels reduced and fewer monsters, the number of cards Alex actually needed to draw was far less than 1000.

Alex now needed to hand-draw the classic forms of these character cards, with characters as follows:

Horde: Ai Mu Ti, Sha Man, Dumb Thief, Liao Ren, Divine Druid, Fa Si, Mu Si, Warlock Auntie, Beautiful Girl, Female Thief, Barrel Bull, Blood Small Cheap.

Alliance: Lady, Night Man, Square Brick, Mediterranean, Chairman, Female Druid, Big Sister, Cannon Sister, National Football "Light of the Holy Knights" five-member group, Five Fireball Sect five-member group, Sinking Fish, Falling Goose, Closing Moon, Shy Flower.

Additionally, there were characters like Wild Druid Shinzo and Winter who appeared later in the anime.

For the first version, there were a total of 36 player-usable characters.

For wild monsters, roughly estimated, over 200 cards were needed, but these could be done later.

36×3+200, roughly 308 card illustrations were needed, which was Alex's compressed quantity.

After using the Super Accelerator, Alex's drawing efficiency became astonishingly fast. Previously, he completed one drawing in half an hour; now his efficiency tripled, taking only ten minutes per drawing. The sketches of the 36 main characters' classic forms took six hours.

Of course, Alex couldn't really draw for six hours without rest; that would exhaust him. He took breaks intermittently and finally completed the 36 character sketches by nearly 6 PM.

These were just sketches; they still needed refining, coloring, and retouching. However, Alex didn't plan to do all this himself, as it would be too tiring.

Stretching, Alex packed the 36 sketches and sent them to Amy Johnson, then headed downstairs.

"Huh? Why are you all here?"

Alex found a lot of people on the first floor, including regulars like Paul Wilder and Lily Emerson.

Amy Johnson stood up and said, "Manager, you finally came down."

Jessica Thompson said, "I thought you made a bet in a moment of impulsiveness and, realizing you couldn't win, got cold feet and didn't dare come down."

Alex retorted, "Am I that kind of person?"

Lily Emerson asked worriedly, "Manager, um, how is your new game coming along? If you lose..."

Jessica Thompson said, "If you want to run away, I know some friends in the business..."

Alex rolled his eyes, "Stop right there! What are you all thinking? Alright, no need to worry, I have a plan for the new game. Amy, open the compressed file I sent you."

Amy Johnson protested, "It's Amy, not Aimée! Both words mean beloved!"

Jessica Thompson said meaningfully, "Hmm, that's a nice name. I'll call you Aimée from now on."

Amy Johnson: "..."

Opening the compressed file, everyone was surprised to find over thirty character sketches. Although these sketches weren't colored, the outlines alone were impressive.

Amy Johnson asked, "Manager, are these the character sketches for the new game? Are we making a Q-version game?"

Alex replied, "Yes, the specific game plan should be out this week. The first step is to complete these character sketches."

Amy began flipping through the character sketches, and others looked on as well.

"This is... a bull? With a nose ring. Quite cute. But why is the first picture a bull? A humanoid bull? Bull head and human body?"

"Ai Mu Ti? What kind of name is that?"

"The second one is also a bull, hmm... a female bull. Called Sha Man, looks a bit silly indeed."

"This green-skinned square-headed creature... looks weird, probably not a human species. Called Dumb Thief... hmm, quite dumb, but how can such a dumb creature be a thief?"

"... All these characters are weird and ugly-cute. But are these strange characters really okay?"

"Oh, finally a normal human, the Lady. This one looks like the protagonist, but why is she so far back?"

"Big Sister? Chairman? Hmm... a wave of humanoid creatures follows."

"What humanoid creatures, those are humans."

"What's with Alliance and Horde? Why is Alliance below and Horde above? Are these factions?"

Everyone flipped through the card sketches, discussing them animatedly.
