Capítulo 6: Chapter 6: Homecoming And Training
As Seraphina and I made our way back to my cabin, I was still thinking about ways that I could be protected from the witches magic. I was unable to find the magical Snowflake Flower that would have protected me, or failing that, at least study it to replicate its affects.
I had a counter for almost all the witches magics except the golem creation with the voodoo doll. The reason I struggled with this was that I had no idea how it worked. Traditional voodoo magic from my past life involved needing a piece of the other person's DNA such as their hair. But Lamia didn't seem to need to use the person's DNA to use the doll against them as she uses it against Septimus despite having never met him.
Now I don't know if she used Primus's DNA as she was the one to kill him, or if the voodoo magic could work on anyone regardless of whether or not she had their DNA.
As i was lost in thought about this, I didn't hear Seraphina trying to talk to me. It wasn't until she had kicked me in the shin that I noticed her.
"Ouch! What?" I exclaimed.
"Finally, I've been trying to get your attention for over a minute. How much longer are we going to travel, it's getting late and I need to sleep." Seraphina said as she gestured to the sky that was getting lighter as Stars don't sleep at night, they sleep during the day.
She seemed to have felt she could trust me more as she began to get more comfortable talking to me normally without suspicion.
"Oh we won't need to worry about not having a place to rest, I have this." I said as I took out what looked like a cloth tarp and some sticks.
I then set up the small tent that looked big enough for only one person and began to walk towards the outskirts of the area and cast some Muggle/Witch repelling charms. I was able to study my own body and magic and modified the spell to work against non magic individuals and wizards alike except for the one who had cast the spell.
I would have to modify it again to allow for chosen magical individuals to be allowed through the barrier. I had to use a wand for this as I had only been able to master wandless casting for all the courses taught at Hogwarts and a few magics I focused on in my off time like some dark magic spells such as Fiendfyre. I was even able to create a dark magic spell similar to Sectumsempra which would send an invisible blade at your enemy.
My spell had a similar principle except using more wind/air magic to create an invisible air slash. It was also dark magic and could only be countered with a counter curse or simply overwhelming power. It also could be used as an actual sword if i was to focus the spell on my wand and i could use my wand with the blade cast on it and would swing my wand like a sword.
I also believe that my unicorn horn wand could break the enchanted chain that imprisoned Una, but I haven't had the chance to try it. Sigh....So much magical research to be done and so little time.
After creating the barriers, I went over to the tent and Seraphina and pointed to the tent.
"In you go." I said.
"That can barely fit one person, if you think I will be staying in such a confined space with you, you are grossly mistaken." Seraphina said adamantly.
I just chuckled.
"You don't have to worry about that, just go inside and then you'll understand, trust me."
She looked at me skeptically but went inside nonetheless as I followed right after her.
"This is impossible, it's bigger on the inside?!?"
"Is it? I hadn't noticed." I joked.
She could see that the Inside seemed like many different rooms equivalent to a whole encampment and there were even facilities to shower and use the restroom.
I mastered Reparo and the Extension Charm as i made a point to master any spells having anything to do with time and space as These two concepts are the fundamental building blocks of the universe, most universes actually. Space makes up the entire universe, and almost every factor of life is governed by time.
So I could actually wave my hand and at least create a small interior expansion. If I wanted to do more, such as creating different objects like furniture, I had to use my wand and take a lot more time to use the expansion charm. The current space we were using took me about a year to create to be this large and have as many different rooms as it does. It helped that I had the suitcase to help for research and reference.
The bath facilities were my Magnum Opus. I had transfigured a tub i had stolen from a home by using the Gemino charm, to look like a large modern bathtub from my last life. I took a metal pipe i had found and transfigured it to resemble a showerhead and added Rune clusters to cast the Aguamenti charm. There were three stone slabs that had different colors that were labeled hot, warm and cold which were hand activated Rune clusters that would cast the heating charm on the water conjured with Aguamenti. There was also an opaque glass screen i conjured for privacy that was in front of the bath.
Creating the drain was very difficult, but what i had essentially done was that I grabbed a small cup that i attached to the bottom of the tub with the sticking charm and continuously cast the extension charm on the cup so when the water drained from the tub it would fall into the extended space and i would add more space to it every time i showered over the years.
"How many rooms are there?" Seraphina asked in amazement. Obviously she had never seen anything like this.
"Oh, I sort of lost count after 300. Each room I created had it's own specific purpose, a majority of them were made for practicing a specific type/branch of magic. As for bedrooms, there are only 10. Take your pick, they all are labeled." I explained.
As Seraphina chose a room I walked out of the tent, made sure to touch the top of it and then Apparated back to outside my cabin. I then began training to modify the protego charm to even protect against metaphysical attacks like the voodoo doll. I trained in this until the night when I was awoken from my thoughts by a shriek.
"Ahh, how did we get here? Where are we? Where are you?" Seraphina screamed as she came out the tent and saw the cabin.
"It's alright, it's alright. This is my cabin. I brought us here while you were sleeping. This was where we were originally headed." I explained quickly to calm her down.
"Oh, its nice. C-can I see inside?" Seraphina asked with a surprisingly shy tone.
"Of course, it's not a problem." I said as I opened the door.
Now if Seraphina thought the tent was big, she would now say that that was the understatement of the century. The inside of the cabin was so big, seraphina couldn't even see the end of it.
"It's like I'm in a whole other world." Seraphina said in awe.
"Yea, I have put a lot of work into this place." I said happily admiring my work.
I had spent the sum total of 10 years working on this, I began the project essentially right after the success of my Animagus ritual. There is actually a couple rooms that were dedicated for training with my Animagus form and the were among the first rooms I created.
Seraphina then showed me a side to her I had yet to see, she had an almost child like wonder about all things magic, it seems that whenever she watched Earth and saw magic, she always wished she could see it up close, so this place is essentially a dream come true.
What I didnt expect was the reaction my own body gave when I saw her genuinely smile and when I heard her laugh. It was so beautiful I felt like I was in a trance.
'Get ahold of yourself, she's a star, it's not like she even likes you like that anyway, why am I even feeling like that for her anyway, I don't know her. Ugh stupid emotions, I am acting like a hormonal teen again.' I thought to myself self depreciatingly
