Just over ten seconds ago, the same scene unfolded before the eyes of personnel inside the Black Hawk armed helicopter.
"This..." General Marcus was dumbfounded as the distant mushroom cloud began collapsing rapidly, and the brilliant flash from the nuclear explosion on the ground disappeared in an instant.
"What happened?" His heart raced with an unsettling answer forming in his mind. "Could that damned kid have caused this?"
"Impossible! That brat couldn't possibly survive. No one can withstand the center of a nuclear blast!" All personnel inside the helicopter were startled.
Only a little over ten seconds had passed since the detonation, yet now the mushroom cloud that had billowed skyward was dissipating rapidly. From their aerial perspective, they saw a massive crater on the snowy plain, evidence of the horrifying impact of the nuclear explosion, resembling a colossal meteor strike that created an abyss-like depression.
"Something's not right, there seems to be a figure there!" shouted a soldier wearing tactical goggles. In the absence of smoke and energy shockwaves, a lone figure appeared abruptly within the crater.
"It's him!" General Marcus paled in shock. At this moment, he no longer admired Su Chen's extraordinary display. The ability to heal rapidly and evolve continuously was within his imagination, but surviving the center of a nuclear blast exceeded all conceivable limits.
"He's not human... he's a devil, a monster!" Marcus suddenly recalled the hysterical words of Dr. White before his demise. "Let us celebrate the birth of God..."
God? Soon... Marcus's widened eyes caught a dazzling light flickering in the distance within the crater. It was Su Chen, raising his right hand, emitting a brilliant glow that intensified into a thick, golden beam, tearing through the sky and targeting a distant helicopter.
"No!!!" Everyone, including General Marcus, roared in despair.
Unfortunately, the radiant beam consumed their forms, annihilating the entire aircraft. Even the X-Weapon equipped with healing capabilities disintegrated in an instant under the dense energy column.
A fiery orange blaze erupted like a fireworks display in the sky.
"Evil must perish! You can't kill so many people and expect to get away with it." Su Chen's face bore a stubborn and cold expression as he lowered his right hand.
With his newfound ability to manipulate energy, Su Chen could absorb and release all forms of energy, including nuclear, rendering all attacks futile against him.
"Stronger than ever..." Su Chen clenched his right hand, feeling a surge of power coursing through it.
"Susan..." Having escaped the prison cell, Su Chen's mind was filled with thoughts of his sister. After their mother's death, they had only each other.
But an accident had separated them.
"I need to go back..." Su Chen marched forward, determined to reunite with his sister and ensure her safety, as promised to his mother.
"But where is this place?" After emerging from the deep crater, Su Chen gazed upon the vast expanse of snowy plains, his eyes overwhelmed by the endless white landscape. Snowflakes fell softly, enveloping the world in an eerie quiet.
Thirteen-year-old Su Chen couldn't discern where this snowy terrain was located. He trudged forward, one step after another, in the snow.
Half an hour passed... an hour... The surroundings remained a vast expanse of white, devoid of any human presence.
Damn it, the experimental base was built in an unknown snowy region, making it impossible for him to find his way out on foot from this endless snowy plain.
Su Chen's heart spiraled into chaos.
Since his mother's death, he had sworn not to cry and to be a strong man for his sister, to support her through life. He couldn't cry.
But the unfamiliar snowy environment mocked his attempt to find his loved ones.
"Why can't I see anyone?" Su Chen's emotions spiraled out of control.
The world's colors suddenly shifted. The white landscape turned into a kaleidoscope of colors.
In that moment, Su Chen found himself standing in a city beneath neon lights, bustling with people weaving through the streets.
His uncontrollable emotions inadvertently triggered his mysterious ability to "rewrite reality."
PS: This ability is inspired by Wanda, the Scarlet Witch, who, in the comics, nearly wiped out an entire mutant race with just a sentence when her emotions were out of control.
