Chapter 49: The Blood Grail

The one-eyed first mate, a seasoned sailor, had encountered his fair share of the sea's ghostly tales and malevolent spirits. When he sensed something amiss, he resisted the urge to turn around abruptly, aware of the taboo in uncertain situations. Instead, he casually took a few more steps forward, his supernatural senses heightened, and he held his breath to listen intently to the footsteps behind him.

As an attendant of the 'Pirate' sequence from the Lighthouse Path, he possessed three abilities: 'Weapon Mastery,' 'Mountain Goat Steps,' and 'Blind Fighting Expert,' with exceptional perceptive skills. "Two? Definitely two, not three. I must've had too much to drink," he thought, convincing himself the extra footstep was a mere illusion.
