In the inner bay of Marineford Square, on a large piece of floating ice, Whitebeard and Akainu abruptly ceased their battle. They both turned their attention warily to Buggy and his crew, who had just entered the fray.
Whitebeard activated his Observation Haki, sweeping across the battlefield to grasp the full scope of the situation, and his brow furrowed in concern.
At present, the battlefield was chaotic, with three factions clashing. Buggy and his crew, having come from the rear of Marineford, initially encountered the navy stationed in Marineford Square. Their own pirates were relatively unaffected by this initial clash.
However, the shattered ice and wrecked ships had left no stable ground for his men. Many who survived the bombardments were now adrift in the sea, their combat effectiveness severely diminished. They were essentially sitting ducks.
If this situation persists, the Whitebeard Pirates might face complete annihilation before the navy can fully turn its attention to them.
The only viable option now was to fight desperately to break into Marineford Square and secure a position of defense to have any chance of survival.
Yet, it was highly unlikely for his sons to breach Marineford Square alone within a short span of time. The navy's encircling defense was a formidable barrier.
The sole gap created by Little Oars Jr. with his massive body was heavily fortified by Marine defenses, making a breakthrough in the immediate future nearly impossible.
But the longer this drags on, the more disadvantageous it becomes for them! As expected, he can only rely on myself!
Determination flashed in Whitebeard's eyes as he drove his naginata into the ice beside him.
Akainu's eyes gleamed with realization. He could see that Whitebeard was quick to assess the situation!
While Buggy and the others had caused massive casualties among the Navy, they had also created an opportunity for the Navy to wipe out the Whitebeard Pirates entirely!
As long as the pirates could be annihilated, Akainu didn't care about the losses!
"Jozu, hold back that Aokiji brat with all your might!" Whitebeard roared, gathering his strength in both hands before delivering a powerful blow to his side!

The massive shockwaves caused the water in the inner bay to churn violently, creating currents that swept those in the water toward Marineford Square!
This would undoubtedly result in some casualties among his sons, but there was no other option! To avoid complete annihilation, they had to rush into the inner bay as quickly as possible!
But Whitebeard paid a heavy price for this! Akainu's punch had blown off half of his head!
"Dad!!!"
The few remaining captains of the Whitebeard Pirates, who still had some strength left, were filled with anger and self-loathing upon witnessing this scene.
They hated themselves for being so weak that Whitebeard had to endure this pain on their behalf!

Blackbeard's hands were enveloped in swirling black smoke. With a hearty laugh, he stood not far from Whitebeard.
Akainu's expression darkened as he observed the two intruders. "Blackbeard, Crocodile, what are you doing here?"
Blackbeard's laughter boomed as he replied, "Hahaha, Admiral Akainu, you're too formal. As one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, isn't it only natural for me to team up with the Navy to hunt down pirates?"
Crocodile, however, had no interest in responding. His focus was entirely on Whitebeard.
Akainu snorted dismissively. "Hmph, birds of a feather! They all deserve to die!"
Blackbeard ignored Akainu's disdain and continued smiling. "Admiral Akainu, whether he deserves to die or not can be decided later. For now, as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, let's join forces to take down Whitebeard first!"
Before Akainu could respond, Whitebeard's imposing figure loomed in front of Blackbeard. His fist, glowing with a vibrating light, was aimed directly at him.
"Teach, you've made the one mistake we cannot tolerate on our ship—killing our own comrades!"
Blackbeard stood his ground, his body crackling with black smoke as he met Whitebeard's punch with his own.
"Hahaha, old man, you're past your prime! You don't understand the ambitions of the younger generation! Let me show you the power I'm willing to wield, even if it means betraying my own comrades!"
The two fists collided with a resounding thud, but no overwhelming force was unleashed!
Whitebeard's shockwave was nullified by Blackbeard's dark power.
Seeing this, Blackbeard smirked triumphantly and said, "Look, Pops, this is the power of the Dark-Dark Fruit, which can nullify all Devil Fruits in the world! Your Tremor-Tremor Fruit is completely useless against me!"
But in the next moment, Blackbeard's grin froze.
Whitebeard struck back with a powerful blow, leaving a deep, painful wound on Blackbeard's chest!
Blackbeard had been mistaken all along!
It wasn't the Tremor-Tremor Fruit that earned Whitebeard the title of the world's strongest man; it was Whitebeard himself who made the Tremor-Tremor Fruit so formidable!
