Kakashi had finally killed Zabuza, and Haku had been taken down by Menma, Naruko, and Sasuke had evolved his Sharingan to have 2 Tomoe in both eyes but was knocked out pretty quickly. Menma and Naruko entered the one-tail state after Haku's senbon hit their bodies, using the power of the Kyuubi to destroy and kill Haku.
Kakashi was panting as he looked back toward Yamato. After some time, he found Yamato, who was knocked out but at least alive. He started to look around, noticing that Naruto was not there...(lets continue)
Kakashi was barely holding on as he looked back towards Yamato. He found him unconscious but alive. Naruto was nowhere to be found, and Kakashi worried that Kisame might have killed him. Deciding to leave, Kisame acknowledged that Zabuza was dead, possibly seeing it as a good thing now that Naruto was supposedly dead. Menma and Naruko could be named heirs and fulfill their destiny as the children of prophecy.
However, before he could complete that thought, Naruto arrived. "Well, it's finally done, huh?" he said, looking back at Zabuza's dead body with a smile. "Well, Kakashi-san, it seems you were able to take him down. I expected you to be beaten badly since you're just a weakling, right?"
Kakashi gritted his teeth. "Damn it, brat! Why couldn't you just die so Menma and Naruko could be named as heirs? They deserve it more."
At that moment, Sakura Haruno rushed towards Sasuke, calling his name. Before she could reach him, Sasuke, surrounded by Sharingan eyes, saw her slip and fall off the bridge. Kakashi, exhausted, tried to grab her but tripped. Naruto, playing his role, crossed to the other side of the bridge, cheering Sakura in his mind. Just before she reached safety, Sakura disappeared into the waves below.
Naruto looked back at Kakashi, then at Sai, who had a blank expression. Sasuke showed relief after using One-Tail chakra. "Well, I can't seem to find her. The waves aren't favorable, and I'm still practicing my water-walking."
Kakashi, too exhausted to search for Sakura, acknowledged the dangerous sea waves. "It seems Sakura Haruno is done for," he sighed. She wasn't his student, so Yamato, who had just woken up, received the bad news with indifference. To be honest, Yamato didn't know what to think about it since Sakura was considered the most useless person in the team, if not the whole graduation class.
On the bright side, Kisame had decided to leave without killing anyone else. Naruto explained that he fought Kisame, who eventually got bored and left, planning to deal with the Jinchuriki later. Yamato, though suspicious, accepted the story. Unbeknownst to him, Naruto had actually broken Kisame's arms, legs, and spine, sending him flying towards the Water Country with his sword.
Flashback ends. They decided to return to Konoha with the bad news of Sakura Haruno's death, but at least they completed the mission. Most were happy, especially Naruto, who no longer had to hear Sakura's screeching. Sai's indifference was noted as they finally arrived in Konoha flying...
Minato was debriefing the mission report, including Kakashi's encounters with Zabuza and Kisame. He accepted that Kisame was merely there for fun and decided to leave upon finding Zabuza dead.
"Look towards Yamato. Well, Yamato-san, I am sorry for the loss of your student. You can say her story would want to hear your story as well, so keep that in mind. I will inform her family," Minato said. Yamato nodded in acknowledgment. "Lord Hokage, what about the whole team for some time? I do have another student in mind. She's an expert, but I would have to discuss it later on," Yamato added. Minato nodded, and Yamato decided to leave with Naruto.
"Sensei, would you like to remain behind a little bit? I want to discuss something with you," Kakashi said. Minato nodded, and Kakashi began to speak. "Considering Naruto, I would like to inform you about something as well," Kakashi said.
Minato looked towards Kakashi. "And what would that be, Kakashi?"
"Well, Naruto attacked during the mission, so I would like to file a complaint against him," Kakashi said with a smirk. With Yamato gone, there was no way Naruto could defend himself. Minato's eyes widened as he looked towards Naruto with a narrow gaze. "Naruto, tell me you did not do that."
Naruto responded, "If you mean that I beat both of them pretty easily, then yeah, I beat both of them." Kakashi glared at him, but Naruto gave him a challenging smirk. Minato raised an eyebrow, "Tell me everything."
Naruto explained how Menma and Naruko challenged him, wanting their titles back, and he defeated both of them. Minato wanted to say something but knew it was a strong possibility. He had other matters to deal with than Kakashi's complaints, so he gave Kakashi a look, prompting him to back down and drop the matter.
"Naruto, I have other matters to discuss with you about the client and the daughter of the Daimyo coming today. You need to be presentable," Minato said.
Naruto gave him a look but nodded. It had been some time since he had seen her, so it would be a good thing. They finally arrived home, feeling angry. Despite having to fight a strong opponent like Haku, both Menma and Naruko were powerful and used the power of the Nine-Tails, even though they hated it. They were supposed to be trained by four elite shinobi, and their mother Kushina Uzumaki was also taking the training seriously, wanting to prove she was still powerful.
