Capítulo 2: First Step
One month later after I was reborn, processing and thinking about the last thing I did that caused my death, I suddenly remembered that I was laughing after solving the case about the underwear thief. I woke up as a baby and then realized I died from laughter.
And after that long thought, she lost consciousness.
"Argh, what's wrong with this tiny body? Why do I always lose my consciousness every time?"
"My baby, my angel, my Mia, you're growing too fast, but you're still 1 month old. Why aren't you crying like a baby should? I've already called expert physicians, but they said there's nothing wrong with you."
"Zette, I think our girl Euphemia is not crying because she cares about you. She's being a good girl."
"But I want to hear her crying voice. Since she's born, she never once cried, and it's already a month."
Suzette thought, "My baby, I'm worried. I hope you cry even once."
Suzette put Mia back in the bed and went downstairs to do her daily activities. Euphemia woke up from her slumber after her parents' visit and started thinking about what she should do next.
"Did someone come here before I woke up? But I actually don't mind. Hmm, what should I do now since I'm a baby? I can't go investigate where I am and what place this is. It's still a long way for me to walk on my own. Should I practice turning over? I think it's the first step a baby should do."
She practiced and practiced, but she always failed because she couldn't even lift her head.
"Why is it hard to flip with this tiny body? It's been a week, but I still can't do it. My head is too heavy to flip. It seems like I can't do anything with this tiny body," she said, annoyed.
And again, she unconsciously lost consciousness.
A year passed, and she started making progress. She not only can't flip on her own but also can crawl.
"It's been a year since our baby was born, and her birthday is near. I still remember the time she tried to flip, but whenever she failed, I felt like she looked irritated."
"Wait, is my mom watching me? Ahhh, it's embarrassing. As a 27-year-old woman, I can't handle this. I feel like crying from embarrassment."
And then, here she goes, unconsciously crying from embarrassment, and there are her parents being happy because it's her first cry.
"Hendrick, our baby is crying. It's her first cry, and it sounds like a siren in my ears."
Hendrick smiles while staring at his wife and daughter, being moved by the scene he is seeing.
Hendrick thought, "They look like an unrealistic painting, my wife, my daughter. I hope I can save this moment of us together."
As the day of Euphemia's birthday arrived, they celebrated it together with people who are close to them. Euphemia looked embarrassed but also moved because it was her first time celebrating her birthday with her parents, unlike in the past.
