[Ding!]
[Matching Power detected.]
[Use of this energy to recharge the LIfe Seal is possible.]
Before Heizen could respond, the Nexus glowed faintly with green light, and a light current drilled into his mind. At the same time, some of the green light got absorbed by the Life Seal imperceptibly.
Heizen felt a small elemental ring appear in his mind which must be the spell model. Since his mental power was strong, the inscribing process didn't take long.
Besides the process, the Life Seal was now glowing faintly in his hand.
[Ding!]
[Infusion of Life Seal with elemental energy is successful.]
[Congratulations, Life Seal is getting promoted.]
The leaf pattern in his hand flashed and became more clear.
[Life Seal is promoted to Insignia of Goddess Of Life.]

Heizen first paid attention to the spell that he had just learned. He thought he would be able to choose his spell. Who knew, there was no choice at all.
[Vine Lash: A life elemental spell that can summon thorny vines around the user. This spell can lash or bind the opponent during the fight.]
Well, nothing special. Heizen was slightly disappointed. Then again, he didn't place much hope on the Academy.
Heizen began to activate the spell Vine Lash while simultaneously infusing the energy from the Insignia.
[Ding!]
[Your spell Vine Lash has been blessed by the Goddess Of Life.]
"Soosh," a small stream of energy went from the insignia to his mind. They merged with the spell model and began to change its fundamental structure.
[Vine Lash has been promoted to Elderwood Wrath]
[Vine Lash -> Elderwood Wrath:
You can summon the ancient spirit of the forest to possess your body, the trees around you, or vines to fight.]
"Clear and concise. The power of the spell depends entirely on the holder." Heizen guessed after seeing the description.
After he made sure there was no issue, he left the position and returned to the gate of the Academy. There he saw both Sarah and Sophie talking to each other.
Seeing him walking towards them, Sarah complained in a joking manner.
"Why are you so late? Are you too excited to become a mage?"
Heizen felt quite awkward. He was really too excited that he had forgotten their agreement before.
"Haha, I was checking the book and learning spells. So, I got a little late." He apologetically replied.
"Hey, check his level." Sophie elbowed Sarah while showing slight surprise in her eyes.
"Oh, you are already level 10? How did you do it?" Sarah was really surprised this time.
"Hah, what was so surprising about that? You two are also on level 10." Heizen said in frustration. He thought he was ahead but found out that's not the case.
Come to think of it, they knew two spells before even the fifth level. He felt like a frog in a well.
However, Sarah and Sophie didn't think so. They knew their own background so nothing was surprising about them.
But, Heizen was pauper through and through. How did he do it?
Seeing the girls looking at him weirdly, Heizen coughed and said, "I got a Tier 1 earth attribute beast core in our last adventure, okay."
"No wonder," they finally understood.
"However, don't use crystals that don't correspond to your affinity too much. You can trade, you know." Sarah advised.
"Hey, speaking of trade, do you know where I can buy the spell models?" Heizen changed the discussion at the right time.
He thought he must learn a few more spells. With his mental power and insignia, it would be stupid to waste such opportunities.
"Hm, you can buy the beginner-level spells from the mission hall using mana-crystal. Or, go outside and buy from the Ford Chamber of Commerce at a slightly higher price." Sophie explained.
"I have some spells that you need but what will you pay with? You already owe me too much." Saraph giggled at the side.
"This wealthy prodigal." Heizen was annoyed since he did owe her.
However, he did have something in his hand that was valuable to Sarah.
After much hesitation, he took out a round ball that was surrounded by swirling wind. It looked spectacular.
[Gale Orb: The essence of windstorm. It can be used as a weapon or to practice spells. A treasure for Wind users.]
This was the last thing he found in the forbidden forest. He spent a lot of time getting it.
Heizen placed the orb in Sarah's hand and said generously, "I can use this as a payment. I don't need it anyway."
Looking at the spectacular orb surrounded by wind elements in her hand, Sarah was lost for words. She was just joking but never thought this guy had such a treasure with him.
After coming to her senses, she hurriedly tried to return the orb.
"No, this is too precious. My help comes nowhere near this value."
Heizen dodged and replied with a smirk, "Hey, don't worry. You can pay me back when you earn in the future."
He laughed. Boomerang, he returned those words perfectly. His mood was particularly good.
"Hmph," Sarah snorted in dissatisfaction but still put it inside her ring.
"Hey, what about me? You are discriminating just because I didn't give you money?" Sophie said in rare refusal.
"Haha, I will think about it once I get something good." Heizen smugly replied.
Sarah rolled her eyes and took out three scrolls.
"Take it. They are both healing and attacking types of spells that are suitable for life element users."
Heizen took it and curiously looked at them. The scrolls were tough leather made up of flexible animal hide.
After opening the scroll, he saw words inscribed with magic faintly glowing with white light.
