I am sorry for the long absence, went on vacation, there was no internet or data on the last half of the trip so I couldn't write, I will go back to normal update schedule after today.
....V's pov...
"Ok..?"
Nue showed zero humor in her reaction at all to my joke, instead looking at me like I was weird. leading me to gain the status affliction known as depression. It wasn't that bad right?
"It was."
"Not helping Nue."
Feeling down, I knew there was only one thing left for me to do. KILL MYS...Train. I had many things to do in the next 23 hours, things that did not involve resting peacefully.
Walking towards the door, I motioned for Nue to follow me, resulting in her turning back into her symbiote looking form, turning back into a tattoo. When I got to the door, the system flickered into existence before me,
[Training Grounds]
Selecting the training grounds, I planned to make full use of the time I would buy, this time.
Appearing in the same white room as last time, I knew exactly what I wanted to test first.
"Nue hit me."
Perhaps a little to eagerly, Nue materialised in front of me and threw a punch. I had no time to react as I was flung into the wall of the room.
"Ow."
She hits really hard,
"That was a love tap, and your recoil vest sucks balls."
Well, at least I know it worked, to an extent.
*Cough*
Dragging myself up from the ground using my cane, I walked towards Nue. The vest would definitely be helpful. I could maybe take more than one hit without feeling like I would break apart. Now it was time to test the magic. Using the manual I had acquired, I then knew how to cast the spell. No rush of info or anything, it was like remembering something I had forgotten. Soon, I arrived in front of Nue, and spoke up.
"Try again."
"You're weird."
As she finished speaking, I instantly casted the shadow barrier magic. To my current knowledge, it would create an impenetrable barrier around me, as long as I am not moving. I was half-right, half-wrong.
Complete darkness engulfed me blocking off my senses of sight and hearing. I still had a sense of my surroundings, similar to a sixth sense. It was a little freaky, but nothing I couldn't handle.
After around five seconds, I dispelled the barrier and the first thing I saw was Nue looking pissed.
"That's cheating."
I shrugged. I didn't really care, the barrier seemed useful, the only problem is that it used a little to much of my mana. It would come in handy, especially if the last item is as great as I think it is.
Pulling the sunglasses out of my inventory, I put them on my face and noticed something immediately. They were super tinted, to the point I couldn't see out of them.
I can't wear them normally then.
"You look stupid."
Thanks Nue, I could have guessed that though. Gojo was only able to pull off this look because he was an extremely handsome guy, with exotic features. I may be in V's body, and while handsome in his own way he didn't exactly beat Gojo in that department. My hair was white currently, so I guessed that matched the whole Gojo look.
However I had a problem. I had no idea how to activate them. Well I guess it's better to try things out when no one is around.
"Activate."
.....
....
...
..
.
Nothing happened.
"Yowai Mo."
...
..
.
"Well now I look like a dumbass."
"You always have."
I guess so. If the six eyes part of the glasses weren't triggered vocaly, I had but one theory left to test.
Sending some of my mana into the glasses, suddenly and abruptly I Saw.
Everything around me, down to the last minute detail was visible. I could see the slight twitches of Nue's facial expression, the straw of the training dummy, but more importantly, I could see the essence of mana.
And boy was it pretty.
