Capítulo 1: Chapter 1 : Prologue
It is dark.
'I can't see. Do I even have eyes?'
'I can't feel.'
'What is happening?'
'Where am I?'
As the soul looks around, it doesn't even know how it is looking around.
'Okay, okay, let's calm down. Deep breath in.'
'I am not able to breathe.'
'How am I even alive?'
As the soul struggles continuously, suddenly it is pulled in a direction.
And there is a light.
And a body forms. It looks like a bar, and there is a bartender.
'Huh? Really? What the fuck is happening? Okay, let's calm down. I was certainly in a dark place. Let's call it darkness or void. Then I couldn't see, breathe, hear, or perceive anything. Then suddenly I am pulled here.'
As he thinks that, he looks around.
'Okay, okay, I am in some kind of a bar. There is a bartender there, and there is no fucking way that he is an ordinary guy. So, let's be respectful.'
After thinking like that, the guy approaches the bartender.
"Excuse me, sir, may I know where I am?"
And I see the bartender is mixing some drinks and doesn't respond.
So, I remain quiet and wait for him to finish the mixing of the drink. Maybe he will respond.
After some time, he places a drink in front of me and gives me a wide smile.
"Try it," he says.
'I don't know what the fuck is happening, but I am not going to do that.'
"Sir, may I know where I am and who you are and what the drink is?"
'I don't want to seem rude, but those are the main questions I have. It's better to wait for answers even though I like to roll with the punches. I don't know what I am offering in return for drinking this.'
'This certainly is not an ordinary drink.'
As if he can read my thoughts, he raises an eyebrow, amused, and laughs.
"No need to worry. This is a free drink. Just drink it, and you will understand."
'Seeing no way out, well, either I am getting eaten or going to go broke in celestial terms, and it seems like I will not have a choice.'
And I slowly take a sip.
'Yeah, that is hands down the best drink I will have in my life.'
"Wow, sir, may I know what this is?"
'I should certainly try getting it.'
"Ah, it contains a small drop of star essence with whisky that was aged in a man ground for a thousand years."
'Well, I think I am already in debt.'
"So, may I know some information, sir?"
"So polite you are. Such an interesting soul. I have seen people despair, I have seen people accept, and then command me or demand, but you know the scale, right? You know how to advance and how to retreat. Even though your inner thoughts are clogged with 'why should I respect this guy,' you answer yourself, 'Well, the guy somehow plucked me from the void, then gave me a body and made me a fucking drink. Yeah, I am not gonna piss this guy off when I don't even have the capital to talk to him normally.'"
'See, this is why I love souls who never believe in any religious afterlife or believe something is there after death and it will be seen when it is seen.'
"Oh, how clumsy of me. It's been a while since I met a soul with this thought projection. I am DEATH."
"Nice to meet you, young man."
"Hello, sir, it is nice to meet you as well."
'HOLY FUCK, IT'S DEATH. So I am right in my conjecture. I am dead, and this is the afterlife, and I somehow didn't go to any religious afterlife. Oh well, what is there to think about? I would certainly be sent to hell of any religion because all religions have some incredibly bullshit rules.'
