Rich, velvet drapes in deep, midnight blue framed the tall windows, their heavy folds cascading to the polished ebony floor. The walls were lined with dark, ornate wood paneling, intricately carved with arcane symbols and runes that glowed faintly with an eerie, otherworldly light.
