Hunter and Delilah stepped into the elevator, their conversation subdued after the discussion with the building's security team.

The hum of the elevator filled the silence as they rode up to her floor, Hunter's jaw tight with restrained frustration as he tried not to look worried. He cast a sideways glance at Delilah, who seemed equally pensive.

The security footage only deepened his unease. A delivery man, unfamiliar to Delilah or anyone on the staff, had brought it in. His uniform and demeanor were unremarkable, yet something about the situation felt off.

As much as Hunter wanted to brush it off like it was nothing other than a delivery mistake, for some reason, he just couldn't. Something about the package didn't sit right with him.

Maybe it was the redness of the roses or the note attached to them, or maybe the anonymity. But he just didn't like it.
