Konoha Village.

Early the next morning.

Sakura, yawning, headed to Konoha Hospital to continue her medical ninjutsu training. On her way, she once again encountered an equally tired and yawning Ino.

Ino greeted her first, "Sakura, didn't you sleep well last night either?"

Sakura nodded, "Yeah, it felt like there were a lot of people walking on the roof."

Ino could relate, "It was fine at my place, but a lot of clan members were woken up and left during the night. My dad was one of them. I don't know what happened, but it made it hard to sleep."

Despite their potential, the two girls were still just genin and unaware of the major events of the previous night.

However, soon enough.

When two Anbu suddenly appeared in front of them, requesting their cooperation for an investigation, and then asking many questions about Dr. Sosuke, Sakura and Ino exchanged bewildered and surprised glances.

So, what exactly happened?

In the Land of Iron, at the Five Kage Summit.

Unaware of the news from Konoha, Tsunade, accompanied by Shizune and Naruto, had traveled day and night to reach the Land of Iron.

After meeting with Mifune and getting a good night's rest, they proceeded as planned to the specially prepared conference room for the long-awaited second Five Kage Summit with the other four Kage.

When Tsunade and her team arrived, the Third Tsuchikage, Onoki, was already seated, with Kurotsuchi and Akatsuchi standing behind him.

"Onoki, it's been a while," Tsunade greeted with a smile.

During the Ninja World Wars, when she, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru were a team, they often fought against Iwa-nin. There was an incident where they were surrounded by Iwa-nin, and in a critical situation, Orochimaru suggested killing the severely injured Jiraiya, a memory Tsunade remembered well.

If she recalled correctly, Onoki was the commander of the Iwa-nin troops during that incident.

Hearing her, Onoki looked over, smiling, "Tsunade, I didn't expect you to become Hokage."

"Things develop unexpectedly, just like you still being the Third Tsuchikage," Tsunade replied casually as she took her seat.

Onoki sighed, shaking his head, "There's no helping it. Not everyone has Konoha's abundance of talent."

"Isn't there new talent?" Tsunade glanced past the familiar Akatsuchi and looked at Kurotsuchi.

Onoki responded, "This is my granddaughter, just here to gain experience. Don't praise her too much."

Despite his words, Onoki's expression was far brighter than before, clearly pleased with Kurotsuchi.

"Granddaughter? She doesn't look like it at all," a voice suddenly spoke in the conference room.

It was Naruto.

Initially overwhelmed by the reality of attending the Five Kage Summit and meeting the legendary Kage, Naruto had been excited and a bit nervous, behaving unusually subdued upon arrival.

However, after a while, he relaxed, realizing the legendary Tsuchikage was just a kind old man. When he heard Onoki mention Kurotsuchi was his granddaughter, he earnestly compared them and then, disbelieving, voiced his thoughts quietly.

In the conference room, everyone had sharp hearing.

Instantly!

Onoki's cheerful face stiffened; Tsunade suppressed a laugh, looking elsewhere; Shizune maintained her expression with effort; Akatsuchi silently took a step back.

Kurotsuchi, on the other hand, looked at Naruto, who appeared younger than herself, with a sly smile, "Kid, who are you?"

"You're not much older than me," Naruto retorted, then confidently introduced himself, "I'm Uzumaki Naruto, the future Hokage."

"Hokage?"

Kurotsuchi looked in surprise at Tsunade, who was an idol to many kunoichi.

Unlike Naruto, Kurotsuchi, who knew more, was baffled by Tsunade bringing someone who looked like a recent academy graduate to the summit.

Could such a silly kid really be recognized by Tsunade?

Onoki, knowing more than Kurotsuchi, suppressed his annoyance and seriously examined Naruto.

"Uzumaki Naruto… the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki. Tsunade has taken an interest in him? Would Konoha agree?"

Naruto's identity as the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki was no longer a secret after the Chunin Exams. Given the challenges in controlling the tailed beasts, Jinchuriki often had tragic and resentful childhoods.

With the investigative abilities of the Five Great Shinobi Villages, it was naturally determined that Naruto was the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki.

"Truly as willful as the rumors say."

Onoki glanced at Tsunade.

Bringing a Jinchuriki to the Five Kage Summit was not as simple as it seemed.

In the ensuing time, Naruto and Kurotsuchi, who were close in age, constantly bickered.

Soon, the Fourth Raikage A, accompanied by Darui and C, entered silently. Glancing around, he noticed the young and unfamiliar Naruto but said nothing and took his seat.

The Mist ninjas arrived shortly after.

Like the previous arrivals, the Fifth Mizukage Mei curiously looked at Naruto, the youngest and least known person present, and instead of remaining silent, she cheerfully asked, "Who is this handsome blonde boy?"

"Blonde? Handsome? Are you talking about me?" Naruto, surprised, pointed to himself.

Receiving confirmation, he grinned widely, his face showing a mix of pride and bashfulness at being called handsome for the first time.

In gratitude, seeing Mei wearing a hat similar to Tsunade's, Naruto, knowing her identity, addressed her as he would Tsunade, "Mizukage Granny…"

Boom! A fair fist immediately sent him flying.

"Call me sister, you little brat!" Mei growled through gritted teeth.

"As expected. True to his title as the most unpredictable ninja."

Recalling the description of Naruto in the Konoha ninja files, Tsunade was unsurprised by the scene.

Bringing Naruto here, if nothing unexpected happened, that would be the real anomaly.

Fortunately, the atmosphere had livened up considerably.

All in all, it wasn't bad.

After the commotion, things quickly calmed down, and the previously disrupted scene was swiftly restored.

Back behind Tsunade, Naruto rubbed his red cheek, thinking the place was too dangerous and decided to keep quiet.

Finally, the Sand ninjas arrived.

Seeing a familiar face, Naruto's eyes lit up, and he immediately discarded his previous thought.

"Gaara! You're here too…"

Naruto enthusiastically walked over to greet Gaara.

But after a few steps, he noticed something, pointing at Gaara in shock and stammering, "Gaara! You… you… you…"

"How did you… become the Kazekage so quickly?!"

Just a while ago, they were all competing in the Chunin Exams, and now, while Naruto was still a genin, Gaara had become the Kazekage. Even someone as thick-skinned as Naruto found this surreal, momentarily suspecting he might be under some genjutsu.

Gaara put down his Kazekage hat and, with a gentle demeanor, said, "Naruto, you need to work hard too."

"Work hard?" Naruto counted on his fingers, thinking seriously, "Genin, Chunin, Jonin, Hokage. I still have three more stages to go!"

Naruto scratched his head in frustration. He hadn't even passed the Chunin Exams this time.

If he wanted another chance, he'd have to wait for the next Chunin Exams in two years.

With that thought, Naruto ran up to Gaara, pushing Maki aside, and enviously asked, "Gaara, tell me how you became Kazekage? Do you have any tips?"

Chiyo, watching Naruto chat away with Gaara, wondered why Tsunade had brought the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki here.

In Sunagakure, Gaara had become Kazekage because there were no other suitable candidates. But Konoha was different.

For instance, Hatake would be a suitable candidate.

"Interesting. One Jinchuriki has already become a Kage. Will there be another in the future?" Onoki mused, watching Gaara and Naruto.

Living long enough, one witnesses many things once thought impossible.

For instance, Jinchuriki were traditionally treated as weapons by the major villages.

A Jinchuriki becoming a Kage?

In the past, this was unthinkable.

Regarding the Fourth Mizukage also being a Jinchuriki, he wasn't one when he became Mizukage. It was only after Rin's death, to better control the tailed beasts, that the Three-Tails was implanted in him.

Times were changing. Now, even the long-dead could be resurrected.

The world was becoming increasingly difficult for Onoki to understand.

The small talk didn't last long.

Once the Five Kage were seated, the summit's host, Mifune, stepped onto the stage, speaking solemnly and briefly:

"It is an honor for the Land of Iron to host this Five Kage Summit. As the host, I declare the Five Kage Summit officially begun."

Clap clap clap.

Naruto, excited, started clapping.

However, when he saw everyone else looking at him without joining in, he stopped, puzzled, and muttered internally, "Doesn't the Hokage always get applause before a speech?"

After this small incident, the summit quickly moved to the main agenda.

Without the delay typical of nobles and officials, the initiator, Fourth Raikage A, raised his severed arm and said bluntly:

"This was caused by Hagoromo Gensou. Based on our intel, when he fought my team, Gensou wasn't at his peak. Now, he's likely even stronger. Such a legendary ninja roaming free will undoubtedly disrupt the current balance of the ninja world!"

"So, what are you suggesting, Raikage?" Mei asked, looking at A.

A replied sternly, "Form a joint force of the five villages, like in the time of the First Hokage, to eliminate Gensou, who doesn't belong to this era or the five great villages."

"Form a joint force? Just to deal with one person? Raikage, your proposal is too exaggerated," said Chiyo, the elder from Sunagakure.

Although Gaara was the Kazekage, his lack of experience in governance meant that Chiyo still made the key decisions.

Given Sunagakure's current weak state and economic pressures, they preferred to develop quietly rather than mobilize forces.

Onoki also chimed in, "As far as I know, Gensou hasn't declared war or sought to conquer the five great nations. The world is still at peace. Mobilizing large resources to deal with one person seems unwise."

A joint force wasn't a simple task. It required manpower, resources, finances, and would disrupt various missions, causing significant strain on the villages.

Although aware of Gensou's prowess, Onoki, as the leader of Iwagakure, didn't favor Raikage's drastic approach, which couldn't be compensated for through war spoils as in the past.

Similarly, Mei agreed. While Kirigakure was willing to deal with Gensou, the extensive resources required for a full-scale mobilization were too great a burden.

A remained firm, "Against an opponent like Gensou, we must go all out, with no room for error. While he hasn't done anything yet, a figure of his caliber is unpredictable. If he were to establish a new village, we would all suffer."

Although the ninja world seemed vast, the "cake" had long been divided. A new village, especially one led by Gensou, would severely impact the five great villages' missions and economy, an outcome they couldn't accept.

Ninja wars fundamentally were about redistributing this "cake."

Though A's words were speculative, everyone, except the thick-skinned Naruto, pondered deeply.

"I recall that Gensou's recent appearance was related to Uchiha Sasuke's defection from Konoha," Mei said, looking at Tsunade, who had been silent.

Tsunade glanced at Naruto, who clenched his fists upon hearing "Sasuke," and nodded, "Yes, Uchiha Sasuke defected and followed Gensou."

"That makes sense." Onoki, the oldest present, smiled, "The Hagoromo and Uchiha clans were allies and maintained good relations. Feeling uncomfortable in Konoha, Sasuke going to Gensou is natural."

Though the summit was about Gensou, Onoki didn't forget Konoha's threat. Stirring things up was just a casual move for him.

Additionally, Onoki had an unspoken idea.

Perhaps they could contact Gensou, much like they hired the Akatsuki.

Gensou, to some extent, could be a formidable ally.

As for the conflict from the Valley of the End, that was a long time ago, and those involved had long passed.

Moreover, among people like them, what issues couldn't be resolved through discussion?
