They left in the car immediately after breakfast. His father wanted to show him a few places, and he accepted the offer. It would be nice to know anywhere that wasn't just the house even if he was sure that he wasn't going to step out at all.

The sun was high in the sky as Felix followed his father through the winding streets of Zaria, their feet crunching on the hot sand. People were glancing at them, seemingly recognizing his father who was followed by a giant of a man and led by another; his bodyguards. The air was filled with the spicy aroma of peppers and the heady scent of incense, while the sounds of hawkers selling their wares and children laughing echoed in his ears. They turned into a bustling market, stalls filled with brightly colored fabrics, intricately carved wooden statues, and elaborate beadwork.

As they meandered through the marketplace, Felix couldn't help but marvel at the array of goods on display.
