Capítulo 71: Chapter:70

**Rumble~~!!**

If the tremors caused by Gyuuki's bathing earlier felt like an "earthquake," then this was a full-blown catastrophe. The rotating body of the Eight-Tails generated a powerful whirlwind, lifting shattered stone debris and gravel into the air, creating a spectacular tornado-like phenomenon.

The destruction lasted for more than half a minute before it finally stopped.

The area, once a deep canyon, was now flattened. If not for the occasional stream that trickled through, it would be impossible to tell that this place was once a canyon with waterfalls.

Izuna appeared about half a mile away from Gyuuki, still enveloped in the ribcage of Susanoo, though cracks were visible on its surface.

"The power of tailed beasts cannot be underestimated," Izuna muttered to himself.

Although he had used the Flying Thunder God technique to avoid the brunt of the attack, the sheer range of Gyuuki's onslaught was so vast that Izuna had to rely on Susanoo for defense. The strain on his body made Izuna stagger, his cells tingling with dull pain.

This was the side effect of using the Mangekyō Sharingan—the vision loss was only part of it; physical deterioration was also inevitable.

"Damn it! Did the Sage of Six Paths show favoritism when he birthed his descendants? Indra's bloodline comes with so many cursed side effects," Izuna grumbled internally.

"You actually dodged that, you brat!" Gyuuki's voice boomed as he unfurled his octopus legs, twisting his neck to glare at Izuna. "But you can't keep running around! Bastard! Bastard!"

Suppressing the pain, Izuna smirked. "I almost forgot my objective in the heat of battle."

There were two ways to control a tailed beast: one was through powerful ocular jutsu like Uchiha Madara used on Kurama, and the other was through creating a jinchūriki, as the shinobi villages would do in later generations. The latter was not an option for Izuna—not only did he not know how to create a jinchūriki, but he also had no interest in hosting a beast inside his body.

Even if capturing Gyuuki outright was impossible, this would at least determine if Izuna's ocular powers were sufficient to control him.

Both of Izuna's eyes shifted into the Mangekyō Sharingan!

"The sinister chakra… it feels similar to the old man of the Six Paths," Gyuuki thought, instinctively sensing a threat as Izuna's Mangekyō Sharingan activated.

Izuna dashed forward, closing the distance between himself and Gyuuki in a straight line.

Is this human insane? Gyuuki wondered. How could anyone dare confront a tailed beast head-on?

In the world of Naruto, the human body isn't much different from Izuna's previous life on Earth. The reason they can perform such extraordinary feats is due to chakra. Without chakra, humans are just like ordinary people.

But even with chakra, very few shinobi would dare confront a tailed beast directly.

The Eight-Tails didn't waste any time. With the canyon now leveled, his field of view was wide open, and he could easily swing a punch at Izuna.

**Whoosh!**

As Gyuuki threw his punch, Izuna sidestepped to the right, dodging the massive fist and leaping onto Gyuuki's arm.

Izuna's left eye, capable of predicting the future, saw the attack coming.

"You brat, always running around!" Gyuuki growled, his tails swinging around to strike.

But Izuna was faster.

Bloody tears streamed from his right eye as he focused on Gyuuki's head. "Amaterasu!"

Sensing imminent danger, Gyuuki quickly redirected his tails to shield his face, just in time to block the black flames.

"Gahhhh!" Gyuuki roared in pain as the Amaterasu flames burned his tail. He slammed his tail against the ground, trying to extinguish the unquenchable black fire, but it continued to spread.

"Damn it!"

With no other choice, Gyuuki severed all eight of his tails to prevent the Amaterasu flames from reaching vital parts of his body.

"You've shown an opening, Gyuuki!" Izuna shouted.

Taking advantage of the distraction, Izuna hurled a Flying Thunder God kunai. As Gyuuki struggled to handle the burning pain, Izuna used the Flying Thunder God technique to appear directly in front of Gyuuki, locking eyes with the beast.

**Stare!**

The "humanoid" Mangekyō Sharingan pattern in Izuna's eyes reflected in Gyuuki's own.

For a moment, Gyuuki's world shifted. He was no longer in the plains and mountains; instead, he found himself trapped in a realm of complete darkness, unable to see even his own limbs.

In the next instant, countless giant golden stakes appeared, pinning him down. Above him, the full moon hung ominously, and reflected within it was the eerie, humanoid Mangekyō pattern from Izuna's eyes.

"Can I succeed?" Izuna thought as he fought to maintain the illusion.
