The bright sunlight streamed in through the window, creating golden patterns on the desk filled with documents. Behind the pile of papers, a woman's figure looked calm and focused. Her radiant face reflected off the light, adding a peaceful impression to the room.
She neatly flipped through the seemingly important government documents. Every now and then, she would jot down something on a piece of paper beside her, showing her dedication and perseverance in her work. Her mind seemed focused, as if she was stringing together various information and ideas to achieve a greater goal.
The woman had a very beautiful face with pink hair that reached her waist. Her hair was styled down in two buns on each side of her head, she had curly bangs that hung down the right side of her face, she had purplish blue eyes.
This beautiful woman was Euphemia Li Britannia, the third Princess of the Britannian Empire, and Cornelia's younger sister. Although Euphemia was a member of the Britannian royal family, she remained kind and open-minded to everyone around her and treated everyone with respect even if they were not Britannians.
This universal respect may have stemmed from her own childhood experiences with her siblings Lelouch vi Britannia and Nunnally vi Britannia whose mothers were not of noble birth and were thus looked down upon by the rest of the Britannian Imperial Family.
Outside the window, the sound of birds chirping brought a sense of peace, while the aroma of warm coffee wafted, adding to the comfort of the atmosphere. Euphemia, with enthusiasm and commitment, continued her task, reviewing each document seriously.
"Euphi, you should quickly choose your personal knight," Cornelia said to Euphemia.
Because of the threat Cornelia felt from Zero after fighting Zero and Kuro no Kishidan several times. Cornelia who loved Euphemia very much asked Euphemia to choose a knight who could protect her because she could not always be with Euphemia.
Euphemia lifted her head from the pile of documents in front of her, looking at her sister with purplish blue eyes that radiated a soft light but there was a firmness hidden behind the gentleness. She knew how serious the situation was, but her kind nature made her reluctant to choose someone just to protect her.
"I understand, Onee-sama, but I need time," Euphemia replied softly.
"Euphi, I can't always be by your side to protect you, so it's best to quickly choose your personal knight who can protect you. I don't know what steps Zero will take, he's a dangerous person, I don't want anything to happen to you."
Cornelia sighed, trying to hold back the worry that continued to gnaw at her mind.
Euphemia nodded, realizing her older sister's concern for her safety.
"Let's make a list of knight candidates. However, remember that we must act quickly."
Euphemia looked back at the documents in front of her, thinking about who might be suitable for the position. "I know one person who could be considered."
"Who is he?"
Cornelia looked at her with interest.
"His name is Suzaku Kururugi. He has a strong spirit and cares about the people around him. I'm sure he can be a good knight."
Euphemia smiled, remembering the figure who had fought bravely and was also a kind person who was willing to help people in need.
"That Eleven?, are you sure Euphi?"
Cornelia frowned after hearing Euphemia's answer.
"Yes, there is no one better than her, she is strong and her Knightmare driving skills are definitely not inferior to your knight, Guilford, Onee-sama"
Euphemia said trying to convince Cornelia.
Cornelia nodded, starting to consider the options proposed by her sister. "Alright, let's meet her and see if she is qualified. But remember, the final decision must consider your safety above all else."
"Thank you, onee-sama"
Euphemia thanked Cornelia sincerely for considering her opinion.
.....
The day of the inauguration arrived. Kururugi Suzaku, although often underestimated by many because of his background, had a strong determination to prove himself. The inauguration as Euphemia's knight was a very meaningful opportunity for him, not only to defend his principles, but also to show that courage and dedication can change the views of others.
In the face of skepticism and criticism, Suzaku tried to stay focused on his goal. He believed that by serving Euphemia, he could bring about positive change and create a bridge between Britannia and Japan.
And even though many doubted him, Suzaku stepped forward with full confidence. He knew that this journey was not only about himself, but also about the hope for a better future. In his heart, he prayed that he could prove that he was worthy of being the knight he should be.
"Kururugi Suzaku. Will you from now on promise to fight as a knight of Britannia?" Euphemia asked in a calm and majestic voice to Suzaku in front of the nobles of Britannia. Currently Euphemia had a different aura from her usual gentle aura, now she was like most of the Royal family who radiated an aura that made others respect her.
"Yes, Your highness"
Suzaku knelt on one knee and bowed his head, answering firmly and without hesitation.
"Will you be willing to put aside your selfish nature and become the sword and shield of true righteousness?"
"Yes, Your highness"
Suzaku drew the sword hanging from his waist and handed the hilt of the sword to Euphemia and pointed the tip of the sword at himself, this was a knight's oath that offered his loyalty to his master.
"I, Euphemia Li Britannia, knight you, Kururugi Suzaku."
Euphemia took the sword before performing the knighting ritual with a serious expression on her face.
It was quiet at first before a round of applause filled the room. Although the Britannian nobles looked down on Suzaku, they did not dare to show it directly at this moment after the ceremony was over, after all Suzaku had become Euphemia's knight and represented not only himself but also Euphemia, the third princess of the Britannia empire.

"C.C What choice do you think Lelouch will make now that his best friend has officially become his enemy?"
Noah asked C.C who was sitting beside him and was eating her favorite pizza.
C.C. chewed on a slice of pizza while pondering Noah's question. After a while, she looked at Noah with her sharp eyes and answered, "Lelouch is a calculating person. Even though his best friend has now become an enemy, he will consider every step carefully. He will not rush into making a decision."
Noah nodded, listening intently. "But, C.C., will he choose to fight or try to find a way to reconcile?"
C.C. shrugged. "That depends on the situation. Lelouch has the ability to see the big picture. He might choose to strategize, finding a way to defeat his enemy without sacrificing more people. However, if he feels cornered, he will not hesitate to use the power he has."
Noah stared at the pizza in his hand, as if thinking about the options available. "So, he might still hope to find a peaceful way out, even though it seems difficult?"
"Yes," C.C. replied with a sneer. "He always looks for the smartest way. However, Lelouch also knows that sometimes, in order to achieve peace, we must be prepared to make sacrifices. That is the dilemma he always faces."
Noah sighed. "Sometimes fate is cruel, making two good friends face each other on the battlefield as enemies."
"That is the path that Lelouch chose, he has chosen this path by sacrificing many people and even killing his own older brother, if he wants all his previous sacrifices to not be in vain, then he can only continue" said C.C while eating his last slice of pizza.
....
As C.C said, currently Lelouch who wears the Zero mask looks very depressed and confused about how to face Suzaku, his best friend, if they meet again on the battlefield.
The feeling of depression and confusion that Lelouch feels is very natural, considering their complicated relationship. On one hand, Lelouch feels bound by their friendship and past memories, but on the other hand, he also realizes that they are on opposite paths for their respective beliefs and goals.
