Pain... searing, overwhelming pain.
My body was torn asunder, my wings, my legs, everything bitten off.
The world spun in a whirl of agony as I plummeted toward the unforgiving ground below.
A trail of blood followed in my wake, painting the night sky with a dark, tragic tale.
The Wyvern's sharp teeth had acted like a merciless guillotine, leaving me in a state of shock and disbelief.
I couldn't believe this was the end, that my valiant attempt had led me to this gruesome fate.
In the final moments, I wished I had turned back when fear gripped me, but now it was too late.
Whoosh...
As I tumbled, I caught glimpses of the world around me.
The White Marble wall seemed to mock me from a distance, a reminder of the border I had failed to cross.
The grey clouds above felt so far away now, their gentle embrace an unreachable sanctuary.
All the while, the Wyvern's roar continued to echo, a haunting reminder of the relentless predator that had claimed me.
My thoughts swirled in a chaotic mix of pain, regret, and determination.
Despite the desperate situation, a small spark of stubbornness ignited within me.
I wasn't going down without a fight, even if it meant battling against the odds in the face of imminent death.
With what little control I had left over my broken body, I mustered the strength to manipulate the remnants of my wings, attempting to slow my descent.
But it was futile; the damage was too severe, and my efforts were in vain.
Through blurry eyes, I saw the ground rushing up to meet me.
The landscape below morphed into a cruel mosaic of shadows and moonlit patches.
My hinge legs were gone, and I couldn't feel the cold breeze anymore.
All I felt was the throbbing pain and the crushing realization that I wouldn't survive this fall.
Whoosh...
The last thing I saw was the vibrant tapestry of flowers upon the earth, a tantalizing reminder of life's fragility and beauty.
Luckily this was not the end...
Thud...

[ Eva's POV ]
I never liked goodbyes.
Even when I still had my family, parting even for a few hours was always a bittersweet moment.
However, this time felt different.
Whoosh...
Turning around my heel, I threw a glance at the village that had been my home for more than a month.
Although it couldn't replace my family, it was at least a good shelter.
At least until those two Demons showed up...
The illusion of this village being a safe haven instantly vanished.
"..."
Looking at the peaceful scenery before me, for a second, I even considered turning back, however, blurry images of my family flashed across my mind, making me grit my teeth.
Yeah...
There was no way I was going to stay here any longer.
Sighing, I brushed my long hair behind my ear and dove into the woods, following a System thread that was supposed to lead me to the Aetherium Academy.
A thin azure line was floating in the air, guiding me through the dense forest.
I've already experimented with this 'thing' and it turns out that others couldn't see this azure line.
I've deduced that this was probably my trait's property and nobody except me could see it, which was...
Kind of cool?
Well anyways, there was even an approximate time of how much time it would take for me to reach the Aetherium Academy.
However, one thing continued to irk me...
The journey would last more than a week and I would have to spend quite a lot of time traveling alone, which meant that I'd have to ensure my safety and be prepared for any challenges along the way.
No matter how careful I was, I would still run into danger whether I wanted it or not.
Grip...
Tightening the hold on my sword, I glanced at its metal blade, feeling slight anticipation and determination.
Whatever happened on this journey, I was determined to face it head-on and ensure my survival.
I needed to get stronger...
I needed to gain the power to slay those, damned Demons!
