Capítulo 60: Air (2)

As the searing pain slowly ebbed away and the dark energy worked its mending magic, I couldn't help but curse my own ignorance. Invisible wind blades? It seemed that this elemental challenge was not going to be as straightforward as I had hoped.

Grimacing, I glanced ahead at the shimmering path. It still beckoned me, its faint glow a silent invitation to continue. But now, my caution was heightened. Every step I took was a careful calculation, an attempt to anticipate the deadly wind blades that might strike again.

Tap... Tap...

I extended my senses, trying to feel the subtle shifts in the air around me. The gentle breeze that once held a soothing quality now carried a sense of danger, a reminder that the very element I sought to harness could turn against me in an instant.

The engravings on the walls continued their story, showing the figure in the midst of combat, deflecting the invisible blades with deft movements. It was a lesson, a hint at the strategy needed to overcome this perilous pathway.

Swish...

Another sharp pain shot through my leg this time, and I stumbled to one knee, biting back a yelp of pain. The invisible wind blade had struck again, leaving a fresh gash on my calf.

Gritting my teeth, I focused on channeling the Dark Mana once more. The familiar sensation of the dark energy knitting my flesh together filled me with a mix of relief and frustration. It seemed that the pathway ahead was a dance of danger, a test of not only physical endurance but also mental acuity.

I couldn't let fear dictate my actions. With determination burning in my eyes, I rose to my feet and continued forward.

Tap... Tap...

I kept my movements deliberate, my senses on high alert. Each step was a deliberate shift of weight, a cautious advance into the heart of the chamber. The engravings on the walls morphed once again, revealing the figure now in harmony with the invisible wind blades.

They weren't just deflecting the blades anymore; they were using them to their advantage, guiding their trajectory.

Could I master this technique?

The wind whispered secrets, and I strained to listen. The gentle eddies and currents of air seemed to carry a rhythm, a pattern to the invisible blades' movements. I began to sense their presence moments before they struck, a fraction of time that could make all the difference.

Swish...

Another blade came my way, but this time I reacted faster. I twisted my body, contorting mid-step to narrowly avoid the invisible blade. My heart raced, and a surge of adrenaline heightened my senses. I could almost see the path now, the way the wind blades danced, the gaps in their deadly choreography.

Growling, I pressed on. The engravings on the walls showed the figure now weaving between the blades with grace and precision. I was determined to make these lessons my own.

Tap... Tap...

The path unfolded ahead, and with each step, I honed my instincts. The invisible blades were no longer an insurmountable threat; they were a challenge to be conquered.

Swish...

I spun, ducked, sidestepped, each movement a testament to my growing mastery. The pain of the cuts was a reminder of my vulnerability, but also a reminder of my progress. The wind itself seemed to acknowledge my determination, carrying me forward with its whispered guidance.

Tap... Tap...

And then, as I reached the end of the pathway, the wind blades ceased their assault. The air around me stilled, the engravings on the walls coming to life one final time. They showed the figure standing triumphant, a symbol of the mastery of the air element.

I stood there, catching my breath, the wounds on my body throbbing in rhythm with my heartbeat. But there was a fire in my eyes, a sense of accomplishment that transcended the pain.

"I survived..."

The air in the chamber seemed to hum with approval, a silent acknowledgment of my determination.

With a final look around the chamber, I knew that the next challenge, the one of fire or earth, awaited.

Neither of those sounded very pleasant, but I had no other choice than to keep moving.

"I'm starting to slowly hate this world..."
