"I don't want to repeat this ever again..."
As I cautiously stepped onto the revealed pathway, the memories of the watery ordeal still fresh in my mind, I couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead.
The air in this chamber seemed to vibrate with a different energy, one that hinted at the presence of the next elemental affinity.
It seems that these chambers were split into four distinct sections, each representing a different main element.
Water, Air, Fire and Earth.
There were a few more elements, but they held a less prominent role in the grand design of this ancient place.
Anyways, I had faced water, and now it was time to confront the aspect of air.
The chamber was vast, much larger than the previous ones. The ceiling stretched high above, adorned with intricate patterns that seemed to dance with the flickering light. The walls, too, were adorned with engravings, depicting swirling gusts of wind, majestic birds soaring through the sky, and the ethereal essence of the air element.
It was both captivating and intimidating.
In this chamber, I felt a sense of weightlessness, as if the very air around me held a mysterious power, waiting to be harnessed. My senses heightened, and I could feel a gentle breeze brushing against my skin. It was oddly soothing, a stark contrast to the rising waters of the previous chamber.
Tap... Tap...
With each step, the pathway seemed to guide me deeper into the heart of the chamber.
As I continued forward, I noticed a subtle shift in the atmosphere. It was as if the air was trying to communicate with me, to impart some knowledge or perhaps a challenge. My mind raced with possibilities, but I knew I had to stay focused.
Even the slightest distraction could have dire consequences in this treacherous place.
I didn't know if there were any hostile beings in this place or if I was merely facing the challenges set by the creator of this mysterious chamber.
Either way, I couldn't risk letting my mind wander.
Tap... Tap...
Walking beside the wall, I allowed my eyes to scan the intricate engravings, taking in the details of the swirling winds and soaring birds.
The engravings on the walls began to change, telling a new story. They depicted a figure standing atop a precipice, surrounded by swirling winds. It was a scene of transformation, of harnessing the power of the air element. The figure in the engravings seemed to be absorbing the very essence of the winds, becoming one with the element.
"Interesting..."
I recalled one of the many Demon Gods I've seen upon touching a crystal, specifically the one that could control the winds.
In the vision massive tornadoes surrounded him, spinning wildly under his command.
My heart raced as I ventured deeper into the chamber, the engravings of the figure harnessing the power of the winds still etched in my mind.
The gentle breeze around me seemed to carry a whisper, an invitation to unlock the secrets of this air element.
The pathway, though faint, revealed itself ahead. It was like a shimmering ribbon of light, leading me toward the heart of this elemental challenge. I couldn't let the pain from my watery ordeal distract me. The memory of that experience was still vivid, a constant reminder of the dangers that lay within this ancient place.
Tap... Tap...
With cautious determination, I took the first steps along the path, my eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of what might come next. The walls continued to display intricate scenes of the air element, now depicting the figure merging with the winds, becoming a force of nature. It was as if the engravings were a guide, showing me the way to tap into this elemental power.
Swish...
Then, without warning, a sudden searing pain shot through my arm. I stumbled back, a cry of pain escaping my lips.
My arm felt as if it had been sliced by an invisible blade, the wound throbbing with intensity. I instinctively reached out with my other hand, clutching my injured arm, trying to stanch the flow of blood.
Ughh...
With a fierce growl, I channeled the Dark Mana, directing it towards the wound. I could feel the dark energy swirling in my arm, coalescing into a healing force.
Who could've thought that there'd be invisible wind blades lurking in the passage to the next room?
Well, obviously not me since I'm a dumbass.
