Of course, hitting a civilian was a criminal offense. Too bad, he encountered Rise. Someone who never cared about the rules. 

This also proved that the reporter was new or that he barely interacted with Rise before and had not known this. Some who were familiar stepped back a little more, seeing Rise's dark gaze. 

Rise did not care about the opinion of others, but that did include Kamille. In front of Kamille, he always instinctively wants to look good; being humiliated in front of him was out of the question! 

A sweet smile appeared on his lips as he stepped forward slightly. He faced the reporters; his demeanor seemed gentle, someone unlikely to cross the lines. 

The unfamiliar reporters, while knowing the rumors and yet having to confirm anything up close, became confident enough seeing Rise like this. However, those aware and having witnessed Rise in person before, cautiously took their distance.
