"You… smell very nice."
"Mr… Lucian…?"
There was a sort of loud silence echoing in the air as Lucian just gripped Emilia's wrist tight — silent, in the sense that none of them were talking at all; loud, as the only thing that Emilia could hear was the beating of her heart getting faster and faster — or perhaps that was her breaths, which was bouncing from Lucian's shoulder as their cheeks were now only an inch away from touching each other.
And with Lucian mentioning something about 'smell', Emilia also finally noticed the way Lucian smelled — she initially thought she would smell like a man, or whatever her perception of it is. After all, Lucian's hair was completely disheveled, his beard was patchy and he did not really look like he took care of himself that much.
But that wasn't what Emilia was smelling at all—no. If anything, he smelled… really clean.
"Wh…" Emilia then took in a small gulp. She wanted to shake her head off of the thoughts she was having, but doing so would mean touching cheeks with Lucian, "...What are you… what are you doing, Mr. Lucian? Let… let go of—"
"I bet you would taste even nicer too," Lucian then slightly turned his face toward Emilia; his breaths, brushing the side of her neck, "How old are you…?"
"I'm… I'm turning 19 this—wait. Why am I answering…" Emilia quickly leaned away from Lucian, only for her eyes to lock on to his — and looking at them this close, she finally noticed just how blue they really were; it was like the shallow ocean, almost as if you could see through it, "P…please let go of—"
"I apologize,"
And all of a sudden, Lucian did let go of Emilia as he just quickly leaned back and immediately looked away from her, "I would like you to leave and go now, Ms. Emilia."
"That—" Emilia could really only hold her wrist as she quickly stood up and took a step back. She was about to say something, but then noticed Lucian's blue eyes slightly turning dark — but from her perspective, she thought his eyes were starting to bleed, "Ah! I think… I think you might have a concussion, Mr. Lucian! So, that's why—Wait… Please, wait here!"
And with her rumbling her words, Emilia quickly ran away, and not even a minute later, she returned with Dr. Raj.
"Dr. Raj, please check on him! I think… I think he might be bleeding internally!" Emilia raised her voice, "He was saying all sorts of things and I saw his eyes like… change. Please do—"
"Can you shut up, young lady!?" Dr. Raj then screamed at her while gesturing to her to leave and pointing at the door, "I can't concentrate with you here, go back to your classes now that Mr. Lucian is awake!"
"But—"
"Go!"
Emilia glanced at Lucian for a bit before just closing her eyes and nodding. And with a very long and deep breath, she also nodded to Lucian and finally left the clinic.
"So, then…" Dr. Raj then rubbed his palms together, "...Let's see what's wrong with you."
"I would like to be discharged now, Doctor," Lucian shook his head; blinking several times as he tried his best to stop the urge of just turning there and then; preventing the T1A from becoming active inside him.
"We will discharge you," Dr. Raj nodded before moving closer to Lucian, "But not before I check your vitals. It is important that you leave here without any complications — can you remove your clothes?"
"Hm…" Lucian let out a small breath that was almost a growl. But after a few seconds, he just nodded and removed his shirt.
"You should eat more," Dr. Raj commented as he stood beside Lucian and then gestured to him to move forward.
Lucian's body was still quite skinny — but if anyone were to see how he looked before, they would be extremely surprised by how much muscle was growing on him in just a short amount of time. Lucian then moved forward, allowing Dr. Raj to move behind him and place his hands on his back.
"Good news is that you are not bleeding anywhere," Dr. Raj nodded, "Bad news is that you are one inch away from going into Lith Deviation. I can't release you yet."
"It is imperative that you do, Doctor," Lucian tilted his head to the side — and it was a good thing that Dr. Raj was behind him, if not… he would see how black Lucian's eyes were now.
"No," Dr. Raj just shook his head as he continued to examine Lucian's body by moving his own lith into him—no. He wasn't really moving it into him, if anything, it was more like he was resonating with Lucian's body; tuning in the same frequency so that he could check everything there was to know, "Your body seems to be reacting wildly, I guess that's to be expected since it's thirsty for some lith."
"No, it is hungry," Lucian's voice was starting to change as his fangs were protruding.
"You and me both," Dr. Raj chuckled, "They said you have a Unique Constitution? I am not really seeing any of that — but since you recovered so fast, huh… maybe I'm just not checking enough. I would like to dissect you more, but sadly…
…prior engagements."
And with those words, Dr. Raj finally removed his hand from Lucian and just started walking away, "I'll just call whoever your guardian is to come and pick you up in a few hours after your lith becomes stable — don't move as much as possible."
Dr. Raj did not even look at Lucian at all while writing on his file and then just leaving — even closing the curtains on him.
As for Lucian, well… the only thing he could really do was lay back down the bed and close his eyes to meditate — his thoughts, quickly going to Maeve. If he was discovered here, then she will never truly have a chance to walk and smile again.
He must calm down.
He must calm down.
Lucian controlled his breath, listening and focusing only on it and ignoring all of the noises outside.
"Dr. Raj left for his usual coffee break. The disciples are gone too — go. Go inside!"
"Why don't both of us go?"
And outside the clinic, there were two voices talking to each other — whispering, but failing all the same with how loud they were.
"Are you stupid? Then who will be the lookout? Matt told us to do it, let's just do it!"
"Damn it. Make sure to signal me when there's someone coming, okay?"
"Go, just go!"
Lucian was completely oblivious of the door opening, and even more oblivious that there were footsteps moving closer and closer to him. It opened another curtain, and then another…
…until finally opening his.
"Shit… there you are."
And although half of the young man's face was covered, it was obvious that it was one of Matthew's friends; the sweat trailing from his forehead…
…causing Lucian's nose to twitch.
"S…shit…" Matthew's friend then very slowly approached Lucian on the bed; his pores opening up from how nervous he was — and that too, was causing Lucian's nose to twitch — and so, very soon, his eyes started to open,
"Shit… you're awake!? What… what the fuck is up with your eyes? The… the instructor really did a number on you, huh?"
Lucian's eyes were completely black as he just looked at the young man's face.
"Fuc… fuck, I didn't know you'd be awake, fuck…" The young man shook his head and cursed, "...Listen, you didn't see me here. Okay? And maybe I'll just cripple you a little bit — and… and no one's gonna believe you anyway…
…no one knows I'm here, no one saw me coming in."
"Oh…?" Lucian's lips very slowly started to curl, "Is that so?"
"Yes, fuck you…" The young man closed his fists before looking at Lucian's leg, "...Matthew told me to break both of your arms, but I'll just break one if you promise to—"
"Pft..."
"What the... why are you even laughing!? You find this funny!?"
"Yes," Lucian just let out a quiet chuckle while still completely laying flat on the bed,
"I was just thinking that I have a new refrigerator that would be right just for you, Mr. Student."
Welp, ggwp
