Capítulo 8: Chapter 8: Reduce All Creation to Ash, Ryūjin Jakka!

In a blink, Alex reached the three Gidokens. With a swift swing of his Ryūjin Jakka, he unleashed a powerful slash!

A tremendous force slashed through the three Gidokens.

Boom!

The violent explosion infuriated the beasts, whose roars echoed through the cave, causing Gray's ears to ache from the reverberations.

Gray and Gildarts hurriedly freed the cocoons hanging from the ceiling. Gray conjured a magic circle in his hand, producing an ice blade, which he used to cut open a cocoon. Inside, an unconscious person lay still.

Checking for breath and finding a faint pulse, Gray sighed in relief and continued rescuing the others with Gildarts.

Suddenly, a gust of wind and a dark shadow passed by Gray, who realized, "Is that Alex being thrown?"

Sure enough, Alex had been knocked back but was now holding one of Gidoken's wings. With a loud yell, he hurled the beast away. The shadow Gray had seen was the first Gidoken being thrown.

Gray, now somewhat desensitized, just stared blankly, thinking, "This guy really is strong!"

Dusting off his hands, Alex turned to the last Gidoken, smiling devilishly. This one seemed much younger and smaller compared to the others. But Alex wasn't going to show any mercy.

He quickly grabbed one of its wings. The young Gidoken, having witnessed Alex's previous move, tried desperately to flap its remaining wing to escape. However, its struggle was futile. Alex easily tossed it out of the cave.

Alex pursued immediately.

Gildarts and Gray, having finished rescuing the last person, followed him out.

Outside, under the open sky, three giant moths hovered. Alex stood below, slowly unsheathing his Ryūjin Jakka. "In the cave, there were too many civilians. Now, with this wide-open space, I can go all out."

"This place will be more than enough for your graves."

The three Gidokens looked at each other before simultaneously opening their mouths, gathering immense magical energy, forming a huge magic circle.

"Magic? I need to help Alex," Gray said anxiously, removing his shirt to prepare for battle.

An ice magic circle appeared in front of Gray.

"Ice-Make: Lancers!"

Countless ice lances shot forward, while the Gidokens completed their spell, merging three energy balls into one massive projectile.

Gray's ice lances shattered upon contact, disintegrating into magical particles. The energy ball continued its trajectory towards Alex without slowing.

"Alex, dodge!" Gray yelled, but his shout was cut short.

Just five meters away from Alex, the energy ball was suddenly enveloped in flames and incinerated.

"Did the fire burn away the magic?" No one answered Gray's question.

Alex, with the tip of his blade pointed at the ground, stood under the moonlight as flames began to engulf his body and sword. His eyes were no longer lazy but filled with fierce determination.

The intense heat swept across the area. Gray fanned himself, trying to cool down, hating the fire as an ice wizard. A bead of sweat rolled down Gildarts' forehead, as he too felt the overwhelming heat.

The fire spread rapidly. Seeing the danger, the Gidokens tried to fly away. Alex, however, swung his sword lightly, sending a wave of fire that blocked their escape.

The Gidokens roared in anger.

"Not enough, huh?" Alex muttered, eyes narrowing.

"Reduce All Creation to Ash, Ryūjin Jakka!"

Boom!

An even fiercer blaze erupted, lighting up the night sky with a crimson hue, transforming the darkness into a fiery red like a burning sky.

The temperature soared to a terrifying 6,000 degrees Celsius, enough to melt anything in sight. Though the mountain was barren, it wasn't entirely devoid of vegetation.

Moss clinging to the rocks ignited instantly. Animals living in the area turned to ash in moments, their remnants scattering into the air.

Even the rocks began to melt into lava, dripping down.

The hellish scene shocked everyone present to their core.

The intense heat wave woke the unconscious humans in the cave, and they rushed towards the exit in panic.

Gray was suffering intensely, barely able to stand. His pants were already starting to catch fire, and his skin was visibly drying and cracking.

He attempted to conjure ice to alleviate his condition, but despite his efforts, nothing happened.

"Don't bother," Gildarts said gravely. "We need to leave. The moisture in the air has evaporated. You can't use magic here."

With that, Gildarts grabbed Gray and called out to the others, "Everyone, get out of here! It's no longer safe for humans. Follow me." He then led the group away from the inferno.

Gray, in horror, noticed his hair was on fire and quickly tried to put it out, soon finding himself with a shiny bald head...

Gildarts glanced back. The towering pillars of fire were consuming everything. Alex stood in the midst of the flames like a god of fire.

In a flash, Alex appeared in the sky, slashing down with his Ryūjin Jakka. A massive blaze engulfed a Gidoken, reducing it to ashes.

The other two Gidokens, terrified, tried to flee in opposite directions.

"Trying to scatter and escape?" Alex shook his head.

"That won't work.

"Ennetsu Jigoku! (Flames of Hell)"

With those words, he swung his blade downward.

"What's coming out of the ground?" Gray felt the earth tremble beneath him.

Looking back, he gasped, "No way…"

Dozens of colossal fire pillars erupted from the ground, consuming everything in sight. The peaks and the land vanished, obscured by the raging flames.

The terrifying heat wave was felt even from a great distance, causing varying degrees of burns on many people's skin.

The flames quickly engulfed the two Gidokens. They disappeared without even a scream.

Seeing this, Alex sealed Ryūjin Jakka's Shikai.

"I need to be cautious with this power," he muttered. "I've nearly exhausted my magic. My magic reserves are still lacking."

He sheathed his blade, watching the flames gradually die down as there was nothing left to burn. However, the molten rocks continued to glow with intense heat.

Alex hung his sword at his waist and patted it, saying, "Mission complete. Time to head back."

The morning sun shone down as Alex and his companions walked back to the guild. The sunlight reflected slightly off Gray's bald head.

Suppressing his laughter, Alex patted Gray's shoulder, "Gray, don't worry. Your hair will grow back. Honestly, you look pretty cool without it."

Gildarts agreed, "Yeah, it looks good." He then ran a hand through his flowing orange hair, muttering, "Glad my magic held up. I'd hate to lose this hair."

Gray glared at them, his eyes full of words he couldn't express.

Soon, they arrived at Fairy Tail's doors. Alex turned to see Gray hesitating and urged, "Come on, Gray. What are you doing?"

Gray hesitated, but a large hand pushed him forward. "What are you afraid of? You're young; your hair will grow back fast," Gildarts said, pushing Gray inside.

Alex pushed the door open and shouted, "I'm back!"

"Hey, Alex! How'd the mission go?" Macao asked, smiling.

"Welcome back!" Cana greeted.

"Of course, it went perfectly! Hey, Cana."

"Haha, impressive young man," Wakaba remarked.

Alex smiled and greeted everyone in the guild, finally reaching Makarov. "Master, the mission is complete."

Makarov put down his cup and smiled. "Well done. I just received a letter from the client. However, the destruction you caused this time was quite extensive."

"Luckily, it was in an uninhabited area, so no compensation will be needed."

Makarov's words made Alex's mood fluctuate, thinking he'd be held accountable.

Suddenly, a burst of laughter echoed. Alex turned to see Gildarts leading Gray inside, the sight of Gray's bald head drawing everyone's ridicule.

"Damn it, stop laughing!" Gray's face turned beet red, and he angrily shouted.

This only made the laughter louder.

"I can't take it anymore." Gray charged forward, punching Wakaba, who laughed the loudest.

Wakaba flew across the room, knocking over several tables, spilling drinks everywhere. The others, now upset, turned their attention to Wakaba, who hadn't even gotten up before being dog-piled and beaten up by the rest.
