Capítulo 21: Chapter 21. Sage & Floating City Magnel

"What... What's that thing?"

Zen was completely stunned when he saw the massive form of the so-called 'Floating City Magnel'.

Clark smiled with his long-scar face.

"Floating City Magnel. This is the so-called Planet of Humanity, the single safest place for all of mankind!"

Rather than a city, the Floating City Magnel is more suitable to be referred to as a small metal planet.

Built on a giant lava pool that dates back to ancient times known as the 'Volcanic terrain of Bergaizard', Magnel, which is dozens of times larger than even Catacombul, floats sturdily, with its top piercing through a sea of clouds.

Outside the Floating City Magnel, several hundred other smaller 'planets' orbited around it.

Zen could see the muzzle of the cannon that looked very futuristic there, so it was probably one of the city's defense systems.

'Incredible!'

Only that one word Zen could say for the city. Magnel is too amazing to even describe in words.

As expected, the Humans in this world also cannot be underestimated at all! Zen thought.

"But, in just 45 years, even shorter... How were they able to build this gigantic thing?"

Zen subconsciously wondered.

In just 45 years, right after the Zombie outbreak attacked, it seemed that the world had suddenly undergone a civilization-level reform.

From what was originally the classical medieval-level civilization, it has now changed to the level of a super-modern civilization. This level of technology even surpassed Earth's level of technology.

'Really, how could they have invented a technology like this in the span of only 45 years?'

As a Cultivator, who witnessed firsthand how ordinary people developed their civilization, Zen was well aware of how difficult it was to advance civilization.

They need untold effort, failure, resources, and time to make just a trivial area of their lives easier.

Just after this last 100 years that the Earth has experienced rapid development in every aspects. They even found an amazing thing called the Internet!

However, it was the result of the efforts of tens of thousands to millions of people, as well as the accumulation of knowledge that their Predecessors had left behind.

They cannot just suddenly succeed in advancing civilization along the way without a source of knowledge as a reference or theoretical framework.

But the Floating City Magnel was a undeniable proof that, this world, had suddenly acquired new technology, out of nowhere!

Curious, Zen asked Migell.

"Migell, do you know who created - found idea to build Floating City Magnel?"

Migell raised his eyebrows for a sudden question coming from Zen.

He looked at Zen with a strange face, but replied shortly after.

"Well... Isn't that mentioned in children's storybooks that started to be popular 23 years ago? It was Sage Zion who gave the idea to build Floating City Magnel. Sage Zion is Master of the 8 great Heroes of Humanity. With the help of Sage's own magic and ideas, then 2 million humans hard work, the Floating City Magnel was created. You... Ya really don't know about this story?"

Zen's face immediately became awkward when he heard it.

"Ahahaha..."

Seeing that Zen seemed to be completely ignorant of such basic knowledge, Migell decided to tell him instead.

"To the Humanity of this world, especially the inhabitants of our Crumbianc continent, Sage Zion is the idol and savior of everyone."

"Sage Zion was born in a small town called Darnia. Since childhood, he has been known for his strong curiosity about magic and magic tools. Sage Zion's full name is Zion Hadbross. He is the son of the owner of a large trading firm in his town, known as the Hadbross twin company."

"Since he happened to be born into a fairly wealthy family, Sage Zion had quite extensive access to knowledge of magic and magic tools. The magic books and various types of magic tools purchased by him every year amount to a total of more than 500 types."

"Even Sage Zion's father, at the time, seemed to complain a lot about how much money he had to give Sage Zion for his 'pocket money' every year."

"However, as the saying goes, 'if you want to harvest a lot, invest more', the moment the Zombie plague first appeared and began to spread across the continent and arrived in the Darnia town, Sage Zion stand alone infront of them, annihilated more than twenty thousand Zombies with a single attack magic!"

"Not only that, 1 month later, he came up with the idea of raiding the entire town, forming a new type of fortress, a new type of weapon, and even a new type of magic!"

"He really proved to his Father that he didn't waste the money he gave Sage Zion!"

"After successfully repelling more than ten waves of Zombies, Sage Zion's name began to become famous throughout the Continent. Even other continents know about him."

"Sage Zion's followers continue to grow. He is like a lamp in the darkness to the moths, everyone gathers on him!"

"Exactly 43 years ago, Sage Zion declared to the world that he would be the pillar of their hope. He promised to build a new utopia for Humanity, and after 10 years of construction, now known as Planet of Humanity, Magnel!"

"Sage Zion gathered 8 talented people from all over the world. He trained them, honed their knowledge of magic and Innate Skill, giving them a new way to harness their powers!"

"At that time, the entire world and even this Crumbianc continent had been overrun by Zombies, except for Darnia town, which had grown enormous. Together with his eight disciples, Sage Zion advances and begins to kill many Zombies on the continent; making way for humans to build a new life!"

"He even went to another continent and exterminated many Zombies there. He also managed to bring back many survivors from remote corners of the world."

"Sage Zion is currently resting somewhere in the Floating City Magnel; waiting for the right moment to launch the final attack on the Zombie Kingdom that is being built by the Zombies on the Gambross continent. Waiting for the day of war between Humans and Zombies arrives!"

Zen was completely stunned when he saw how excited Migell was telling the story of Sage Zion.

"..."

He was speechless, but not because of Sage Zion's story. He was speechless at the sight of Migell's change.

Migell cleared his throat.

"Oh well... That's about the story of Sage Zion. If you want to know more detailed about him, you can buy a picture book titled 'Sage and 8 Heroes' later on Magnel."

Zen nodded - still stunned by Migell.

Meanwhile, their ship had gradually approached the Floating City Magnel.

The closer they got to it, the bigger and more massive the Magnel looked. Magnel is now truly worthy of being called a metal planet.

Zen couldn't help but swallow his saliva when he saw the size of the cannon muzzle on the small planet orbiting the Floating City Magnel.

It looked small from a distance before, but when they got closer, Zen realized that the small planets were about the same size as a Port city like Limittia.

'If I have to take an attack from that... Ugh, I'm afraid that even the dust won't be left. I have to really make sure to keep my identity as a Zombie from being known by anyone!'

Zen trembled in fear, but he was actually quite happy.

Looking at all of these technologies, Zen was sure that this Floating City Magnel most likely had enough databases for him to rebuild his cultivation path.

If it turns out that even Magnel isn't enough...

'Maybe I should meet its creator.'

Zen had a rough guess about the reason why Sage Zion was able to carve out such a glorious feat for mankind.

'Sage Zion... Are we alike?'

Smiling faintly, Zen stared at the impressive figure of the Floating City Magnel with full anticipation.

In Magnel, he would begin his cultivation path once again!

***

At the bottom of the Floating City Magnel, a floating ship landing station was built.

The metal planet's white wall was opened, revealing a spacious room that provided landing areas of all types and sizes flying ship.

The Red Trickerss were not a wealthy group, moreover, although they weren't very ruthless, they were still pirate. They didn't want to attract the attention of the landing area surveillance cameras and guards, so they chose a shabby corner for landing.

After they landed, two metal pillars rose from the landing floor. The pillar grows gripper, keeping their ship standing stable.

Martha gathered all the crew of the ship on deck.

Along with Rina and Clark, she stood in front of Zen and the others.

Just as Zen began to wonder why they had to line up, a drone-like box object fell from the metal ceiling.

The box slowly floated above their heads. That thing took out a scanner laser to all of them one by one.

While the box scanned everyone, Migell explained to Zen, who didn't understand what happened.

"This is Magnel's identity verification robot. That robot would scan a dude's identity from their appearance and magic energy, compare it to a flawed civilian data record in Magnel's database, and then decide the dude's danger level. If that dude has committed many crimes or is even a fugitive, him will be immediately arrested, or killed on the spot."

Zen was immediately shocked. He almost jumped up and ran away from the place.

'What!? I'm a Zombie, shit! What... What should I do?'

In terms of appearance, Zen wasn't worried at all. However, he was a Zombie, so his magic energy was naturally slightly different from Human's magic energy.

Moreover, he had even evolved. His magic energy had undergone quite a good accumulative and qualitative change.

His magic energy now carried the energy of darkness and shadow.

For this robot, he may be recognized as an evil object or a monster!

Well... He was indeed a monster, even a Zombie! But that's not the case!

'Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn...'

Inversely proportional to the panic of his thoughts, Zen's face displayed no emotion at all. In fact, as time went on, his expression became colder and colder.

His eyes narrowed; showing a glimpse of killing intent.

'Well, if I am found, let me be found. I guess I'll destroy this robot and run away and hide somewhere afterwards. It's a pity that I have to part with Red Trickerss in such a way, but I have no other choice.'

After Zen decided on his plan, he became very calm.

His eyes followed the movement of the box robot.

The robot is now examining Rictner.

For Rictner, this was the first time for him to come to Magnel, so even though he put on a stern face, he was obviously very nervous.

After a while, the light on the side of the box lit up green.

[Rictner, 17 years old, male, single. Born in Port city of Logbritts. Life history... Good. Crime record... None. Additional notes... Join the Red Trickerss group.]

Rictner sighed at that.

After that, the box scanned the other 3 crew members. The light is again on green.

This time, the box robot came towards Migell, who was standing on Zen's right side.

[Migell Rotthorn, 32 years old, male, single. Born in the Floating City Magnel. Life history... good. Crime record... robbery, pickpocketing, and once impregnated a woman out marriage. Marked as a target of surveillance.]

The light on the box glows yellow.

Migell just grinned casually at the results of the analysis of the robot box. It seems that he is not bothered by his crimes being exposed.

Zen was quite surprised to hear that Migell had once impregnated a woman. Zen curious with whom and what happened to her, but he was more worried about himself at this point.

The box robot came in front of Zen.

The scanner light began to be thrown at Zen from his hair downwards.

Zen refrained very hard from hitting this box until it was shattered. His fists clenched very tightly. Fire sparks sometimes rose between his fingers.

After scanning Zen, the light on the box robot glows white, then starts flashing.

Zen almost hit it when suddenly, the robot reported.

[There is no corresponding data in the Floating City Magnel civil database...]

Zen almost breathed a very long sigh of relief after hearing it.

It seems that the box robot is unable to identify him as a Zombie.

However, Zen was very surprised to hear the second report of the box robot.

[Scanning civil database from before the creation of Magnel... Looking for the right facial features... Managed to find 28 suitable candidates... Eliminating the choice... Succeed. Subject identified.]

"Huh?"

[Laim Worgrass, 37 years old, Male, Married. Wife's name: Rosemerie Worgrass... Died 12 years ago. Daughter name: Dahlia Worgrass... Captured by Zombies... The whereabouts are unknown. Life notes... Good. Crime record...]
