Capítulo 20: Chapter 20. Moondown

-A few days later.

"Ha!"

On the main deck of the ship, Zen punched the air to practice [Flaming Punch Technique].

Inside Zen's head, he reimagined the speed of the robed man he had fought against earlier.

With just his fists, without the help of any Innate Skill or Magic, how could he fight that man? Zen's fist occasionally sparked flames as he moved after the illusory shadow of the robed man.

However, not even 2 seconds had passed, the shadow had waved its blade and stabbed Zen's waist from his blind spot.

"Kh!"

Ever since Zen managed to complete all of his today task as a newcomer on this ship a while ago, Zen has been practicing for more than 1 hour.

In this Warm mode, Zen can sweat because his organs can work at least like the performance of the Human body. He was now drenched in sweat.

Zen sat on the deck floor. He wiped the sweat on his face while pondering.

"I'm too slow..."

The Weapon Warlord Realm was the designation of the Third Realm. Zen, who currently only a Martial Realm Cultivator, was certainly no match for the robed man who possessed the speed of the Third Realm.

"I have to keep practicing and practicing..."

On the deck, there are several crews, who are in charge of guarding or caring for the cannons placed there. Some even just wander around and play among themselves to fill their free time.

Because of this, Zen must continue to maintain the acting that he is Human.

Opening the water bottle, Zen gulped it down with a single sip.

"Oi~ Zen!"

Seeing that Zen was done with his training, one of the men, who was on guard, called out to Zen.

"Ya really work'd hard with that weird martial training of ya's, huh?"

If Zen remembered correctly, the man was named Migell. He was a muscular man with long scars on both of his arms who was over 30 years old.

"My martial arts are not weird! It's called Flaming Punch Technique, and it's the strongest martial art ever!" said Zen in a joking tone.

Migell didn't take Zen's words seriously.

He gestured for Zen to come closer.

'What's wrong?'

Zen was confused, but he chose to get closer.

Migell smiled and patted Zen on the shoulder.

"Ya said never left city since birth, didn't ya?"

'An orphan who never leaves the city and less knows about the outside world,' is the backdrop that Zen creates.

"Yes," Zen nodded.

With his chin, Migell pointed forward.

"Look at there. It was one of the four countries on the continent. Eastern kingdom, Moondown!"

Zen followed the direction Migell was looking, and was immediately swept away by the sight of the breathtaking sight of several tens of floating cities built nearby.

More than 15 small cities orbit a very beautiful and spacious floating metropolis.

The small city alone is already several times larger than the port city of Limittia, so it is easy to imagine that the central metropolis is unimaginably vast.

The distance between their ship and the Kingdom was still more than a few tens of kilometers, but with how large the size of the floating kingdom was, Zen and all the crew could see it easily.

With a wide-smiling face, Migell began to speak.

"Even now I can still remember clearly how hard the people were when they tryna to build a new city here."

"About 23 years ago, I guess. Since my old man was one of the workers who worked in the construction of the city, we were forced to move here from the safe, Floating City Magnel."

"The eastern region of the continent at that time was still filled with many dangerous Monsters and Undeads. It is not uncommon for normal or infected Wyverns to attack us. Many people are killed every day. Those were the worst times. Even my old man was killed there."

"However, take a look now. It is with the flesh and blood of these people that this wonderful kingdom can be made."

Zen couldn't help but admire the struggles of Humans in this world.

In order to survive and to build 'house' for them and their children - for Humanity - they offer their sweet and blood, even flesh and bones, just for this beautiful, safe, Kingdom!

Regardless of whether the Zombies and Humans are evil or not, the struggle of Humans is indeed worthy of a thumbs up.

The Moondown Kingdom was built close to extremely high mountains.

The very high and snowy mountains, according to Migell, are called the Slowhigh mountains.

The combination of high white mountains and cities floating in the sky is enough to give a very sci-fi feeling. It was as if they were in repeated worlds, but all of a sudden, for some reason, glued together in the same frame. A very contradictory beauty.

"Slowhigh mountains are also a mining site of a very important resource for the entire continent, especially the eastern part of the continent."

As Zen was admiring the floating city scape that reminded him of some of the high-level sects he had visited before, a voice sounded from above.

Zen turned his head and found a man lying on the ship's sail net. Zen recalled that the man was named Clark, the only owner of the Innate Skill on this ship besides their captain's sister, Tiony, who was in B's hands.

Clark's Innate Skill was able to help him to see something that was very far away, so he might have been able to see the Moondown Kingdom long before even Zen and Migell saw it.

Clark pointed toward the mountains, precisely, toward the black dots at the foot of the mountain.

"look, that was a mining town belonging to Moondown Kingdom. There, they will mine various types of resources such as iron, bronze, gold, and even, Affinity Orbs."

Zen tried hard to see something in the spot where Clark was pointing, but he could only see black crowd.

While Clark laughed at Zen's actions, Migell said: "But judging from the recent increase price of Mana Crystals, I don't think they're doin' well."

Zen knew what Mana Crystal was after reading many books in the Frincaal town's library. It was a kind of crystal mineral that would form after storing natural magic energy that continued to undergo purification for several hundred or even thousands of years.

Mana crystals are like gasoline, diesel, and so on in this world. Their existence is very important, but the level of consumption and natural production is very uneven, which is not a good thing.

***

The Red Trickerss pirate group had no intention of stopping at the Moondown Kingdom, so they simply passed through it and continued steadily, towards their destination: the Floating City of Magnel, and took back Tiony!

Day after peace day continued on the ship.

Every day after completing his task, Zen would continue to practice the [Flaming Punch Technique] and meditate using the [Water Flowing Crystal Technique].

Both of them have the elements of fire and water. Quite the opposite.

It was basic knowledge that you should not cultivate by using two opposite types of cultivation techniques.

The risk of elemental evaporation can be very dangerous. One's life and cultivation could die if they were unlucky.

Zen certainly knew about it as an experienced cultivator.

However, Zen knows a trick to overcome this.

Just like yin and yang, evil and good, dark and light, life and death... Fire and water can also be constructed using the same composition diagram.

Instead of letting them weaken and kill each other, Zen made them strengthen each other.

The water from the [Water Flowing Crystal Technique] would threaten the Fire from the [Flaming Punch Technique] to extinguish it if it didn't continue to become stronger; encourages its growth. On the other hand, Fire also encourages Water by threatening it that it will evaporate Water if it does not continue to grow.

Fire and Water formed a solid synergy and supported each other even though they were hostile.

They hate each other, but they also need each other. Like rivals, they will compete until the end!

However, Zen training didn't go as smoothly as his control over the [Flaming Punch Technique] and [Water Flowing Crystal Technique] at all.

With his power in the Martial Realm and his Zombie body that had evolved, Zen was still far from being able to cover the speed gap between himself and the robed man.

At most, Zen was only able to survive for 5 minutes before being 'killed'.

"I have to keep getting stronger!"

Meenwhile, the ship trip is very calm and smooth.

Two weeks later, Zen was already able to see the silhouette of a huge city that was even more stunning and massive than the Moondown Kingdom.

It was the Floating City Magnel. The first floating city, as well as the last, and strongest fortress of mankind!
