Capítulo 171: Extra 3

Edited by: Kuro and Lille

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
System 225 explained a bit about the point system.
[Every time someone finishes a world, the missions they completed will be calculated and given points depending on the difficulty and their clearance. After that, they can exchange it for items that could help them in the next world, or skills they could be taught to help them for future worlds to come. The reward that needs the most points is the opportunity to reincarnate, but all of your memories will be wiped and you will start over with a blank slate. You need 100,000 points for this. It isn't hard to get this many points though.]
The main missions for F-ranked worlds were 200 and the side missions were 100 points. This multiplied depending on the world difficulty. That's why, it wouldn't take too long to reach 100,000 points. There were quite a few Hosts who had already reincarnated but many more decided to stay because the benefits of being a Host outweighed their desire to reincarnate.
With more Hosts, it was much more beneficial to the UniOrb and the Command Center, so they made a lot of incentives to keep people from reincarnating.
Systems could not reincarnate as they gave up their rights to reincarnate, but they could relax and decompress in the UniOrb city for as long as they needed to. That was why, there were a lot of restaurants, shops, arcades, and other fun activities to do. All of these were free and didn't need points. The points were only used for the Host and for items or skills that would benefit them in the next world they decide to go to.
Plus, Hosts and Systems could pick the worlds they wanted to go to by checking out the world plot, the missions, and the world environment beforehand. This increased the success rate of the Hosts. With the trillions of worlds in the UniOrb and only a few thousand Hosts, this was desperately needed.
[Now that you understand the point system, the UniOrb city, and all the features I've added, do you have any other questions?]
System 225 was so excited, he forgot to stop talking during his whole spiel. Even so, Grey patiently and respectfully listened.
"I have no questions. I can't believe you were hiding this from me and waited until I woke up to tell me." Grey remembered System 225 planning all of this while he was jumping from world to world.
It was quite amazing in his opinion.
[I wanted it to be a surprise. Do you like it?]
"Of course! With the point system, it seems much more rewarding and more people are likely to stay. I also like that you added places where everyone can relax and distress. I heard you even included therapists just in case. Truly, a wonderful idea!"
[I'm glad you think so as well!] System 225 was relieved to know that Grey felt this way. He worked very hard to change the Command Center and how the System and Hosts operated. He also felt this was for the better.
Azul watched the two interact and couldn't help but feel happy. This was how it all should be. If he cared as much about the Command Center as System 225 did, he might have asked to do something like this. Still, that was all what-ifs. It was long overdue for him to pass on the title and responsibilities of God System to someone worthy and passionate about their role.
He was glad it was System 225 who took over.
After a long conversation about the new and improved Command Center, System 225 asked the most important question for Grey.
[Grey, have you decided to reincarnate or would you like to stay as a Host? You can even be a System if you want. Of course, this is something you can choose and there's no rush.]
"It's okay, System 225, I already made my decision. I want to be a System, just like you and Azul. I want to be here with my friends, Arisa, Kyle, and System 225 too. That way, we can all stay together forever."
He had already decided this even before he went to sleep for ten thousand years. He was well rested and healed, and now, he wanted to do what he could while staying by Azul and everyone else's side.
System 225 was a bit surprised but he still grabbed both of Grey's hands before pausing. He hesitated because he had promised to let Grey reincarnate before this all started. He thought that Grey wanted to do this but to even become a System?
[Grey… You know becoming a System makes it so you can no longer reincarnate, right? You will be bound to the Command Center for all of eternity. You will be able to rest, but you will remember everything forever. Is that what you really want?]
Grey didn't hesitate. "This is what I want. I want to become a System so I can not only help you and Azul, but other Hosts too."
[I understand. Then let's get the process started.]
System 225 lifted Grey's hands and pressed them onto his own forehead. He took a deep breath and initiated the change within Grey's soul.
[As God System, I announce that Grey, the savior of the Command Center and the defeater of the creator of the Villian System, as a new and special System.]
His voice was broadcast throughout the city, making everyone stop in their tracks and turn on their holographic devices to watch what was happening in the Command Center.
The Command Center always had a live broadcast on, it's just that most people only watched it when System 225 had something to say to them.
[Your name will be System Grey. Thank you for becoming a System, for saving everyone, and for giving me the chance to make the UniOrb city what it is today.]
System 225 felt giving Grey a number wouldn't do. Azul was also known as "System Azul" because he was no longer God System. He didn't want to be called System 002 anymore either.
Grey and Azul were the only ones who didn't have a number as their System name. Even System 225, though he often went by God System, kept his System number to remind him of who he was and where he came from.
Many Hosts and Systems commented in the live broadcast, though Grey never saw these comments.
{I heard about the legendary Host named Grey but who knew he would become a System when he woke up!}
{I heard he's System Azul's soulmate and they have been husbands for a really long time. It's good they have finally reunited!}
{Thank you System Grey for saving us all!}
Many of the Command Center's original Systems gave their thanks in the chat.
Once Grey's soul became contract-bound as a System, System 225 let go of his hands. He looked over at the floating camera that was always around him.
[Now that you are a System, we will now celebrate this happy and historical event! All Hosts will be given 1,000 points, but not only that, all Hosts will be able to take part in a lottery.
[The first 10 people chosen will get 100,000 points. The next 100 people will get 50,000 points. Everyone else will be able to get 10,000 points just for putting your name in the lottery! Of course, Systems can also put their names in there to give your Hosts a better chance of being chosen and to earn them more points.
[I wish everyone the best of luck with the lottery! The winners will be announced in ten days. So until then, let's celebrate this happy occasion!]
Fireworks began to shoot up into the sky after System 225's announcement. On large screens throughout the city, it had Grey's name and face to welcome him as a System.
It was a little embarrassing for Grey, but System 225 was so excited, he decided not to burst his bubble and enjoy the festivities that System 225 had planned for him.
For the next 10 days, the welcoming festival seemed to last all day and night without a single dull moment!
Grandpa Marky: If I were to be bound to a system, I think I would like it to be like this (aka under System 225's command). XD He's so generous. Really knows how to keep people from leaving.
