Capítulo 20: Chapter 19: Life without Sokka
"We'll find him, I promise you Katara" Avatar Aang commented with a weak smile on his face, as they flew over the ocean.
"I think I can access to the spirit world right now, so we'll try to get Sokka out of there. I'm sure it can't be that far away"
Katara didn't answer, her eyes were lost in the vastness of the sea, "I've been thinking"
"Uh?" Aang looked confused.
"Sokka stood in front of that spirit on purpose, I think he wanted to go to the spirit world" Katara looked directly at Aang.
"What? For what reason would he do that?" Aang was confused, although it didn't seem so illogical to him.
"Surely Sokka has a plan in mind, we should continue Aang" commented the girl, "If we stop, we could be delaying him"
"Well, I understand, then let's go to our destination!" Aang took the reins of his flying bison Appa, which accelerated its flight.
However, something came from below. "Watch out Aang!" Katara warned as she saw a rock imbued with fire coming towards them quickly.
Appa, on Aang's reins, turned around avoiding being hit by the rock, but yet another rock was on its way.
"The Fire Nation is following us" Aang commented, and at that moment, Katara stood up with a very serious look, "What are you going to do?"
"Clouds are made of air and water, right? Help me condense them, I'll freeze them and they'll fall like hail on them" Katara explained.
"That's great!" Aang stood up as well, but not before deflecting a rock of fire with his staff.
Aang condensed a cloud. Katara took care of freezing it by blowing, then ice stakes began to land on those ships.
"Commander Zhao, what do we do?" asked a soldier covering himself from the ice stakes that were falling.
The one called Zhao gritted his teeth, and released a flame of fire into the sky that destroyed all the stakes in an instant.
But when they realized, the avatar's bison had disappeared from everyone's sight.
"Damn! Where did they go?" another soldier shouted after noticing this situation.
"Calm down, in that direction there is only one place, and it is the island of avatar Roku" Commander Zhao seemed calm, "We will close off all escape options. But we must speed up now"
What Zhao didn't know is that a few hours later he would witness the fury of the avatar, who after meeting his predecessor Roku, understood everything that was going to happen next year.
Aang would have to master the elements before the arrival of Sozin's comet in the summer, as the fire nation would use it to dominate the world.

Several days had passed, since then Sokka had been reading and sometimes resting for his own mental health.
Luckily, and for some strange reason that Sokka didn't know about, the system had food and water in the store, which he bought at very reasonable prices.
Sokka was reading up on all about the Fire Nation, including Avatar Roku's history with the old Fire Lord Sozin, and Sozin's plan.
He read about how Sozin wiped out the Air Nomads, and that a comet in his name would land in the summer, and that the Fire Nation would use it.
"It makes a lot of sense, since after all it's a source of energy for them," Sokka commented when he read that, "That's problematic..."
The ideal would be to kill the Fire Lord during the eclipse, since at that time he would be without his powers as well as the entire nation.
But what intrigued him the most were the spirits, about which he had been reading for almost the entire week.
And he discovered things. For example, the Avatar's spirit was called Raava, and was reincarnated every hundred years, but this was something he already knew.
But something he didn't know and it was terrifying, was that there was a spirit of darkness called Vaatu, but this creature was locked away.
And he went further, he learned that before all this, there was something called energy control, which was based on controlling the Chi of another being.
In ancient times, the turtle lions used it to give the power to control elements to humans who ventured into the spiritual forests to obtain food.
That's right, previously the spirits lived in the human world, until they were transferred to the spirit plane after several events.
"Okay, enough" Sokka rolled up a scroll, "It's time to go to the North Pole, I've spent too much time here" said Sokka getting up.
"So you were telling the truth, you love knowledge" Wan Shi Tong appeared behind him, "I've been able to verify it myself"
"Of course, I don't lie" Sokka stated with a smile, "And I thank you for allowing me in, but it's time for me to leave"
"One of my wolves will guide you to a way out, good luck, human" the spirit couldn't deny it, this human was too strange. And even for him.
