Chapter Sixteen

Larissa's Pov

I ambled to the reception area at the hospital. As I approached the female receptionist, she welcomed me with a smile. Ignoring her smile, I inquired, "I'm Larissa." I quickly realized they didn't care about my name. "Please, was anyone rushed here?"

"A lot of people were rushed here today. Can you be more specific?" the receptionist inquired.

"The person I'm talking about was brought in not long ago, tall, slim, and—" Before I could finish, the same number that called me about the emergency rang again. I slid my hand on my phone to the right, accepting the call.

"I'm at the hospital already," I cut in, my voice filled with curiosity. "9F. I will be there soon." I terminated the call and asked the receptionist, "Please, where is 9F?"
