Capítulo 19: Upcoming Sect Competition
Two weeks would pass by, and Mo Xiuluo opened his eyes to see the sun peeking from behind the mountains.
During the past two weeks, Mo Xiuluo has improved a lot. He is now in the second stage of the Foundation Establishment realm, and has controlled his Spiritual Power enough for him and Dong'er to now perform Couple Techniques.
Of course, he has also signed in the past two weeks and got one technique and more Spirit Cores.
The technique he got was called the "Nine Blood Veins of Life', which is a way of cultivating physical strength and Qi at the same time! As every major realm you reach, you can break through one of the veins of the heart and increase physical and Qi by ten percent. Don't underestimate ten percent of every realm. As the text in his eye was disappearing, he took a bath and changed and started to walk to his Master's living quarters, as he asked him and Bing Dong'er to come early in the morning.
Arriving at his master's room, he could see his Senior Sister and his master talking about something.
Seeing him, they stopped talking and Jiang Feng gestured for him to come over.
"You're finally here. Since you're both here, I'll tell you something."
Both Mo Xiulou and Bing Dong'er were confused but didn't ask any questions.
"Do you guy's know about the Sect Competition?"
Bing Dong'er nodded and spoke: "Yes, me and Mo Xiuluo have been training for the duo's competition."
Jiang Feng looked at the two in surprise.
"That's good." He said in relief, and immediately smiled.
"Then do you know about the Continental Competition?"
This time Bing Dong'er shook her head.
Seeing Bing Dong'er shake her head, he looked at Mo Xiuluo who also shook his head.
"The Sect Competition is only something our sect does. Every continent has their own competition, but the Continental Competition is something we do once a decade, and only the strongest disciples are allowed to attend."
Both of them were shocked, and Bing Dong'er's face lit up.
"So how can we join?"
Jiang Feng smiled at their eager faces.
"In two months, the competition will begin. We don't choose who will go. You have to have the qualification to participate. Get first place in any of the three formats and you will be eligible to join."
Mo Xiuluo nodded and asked a question: "Master, are there any rewards for coming in first place?"

"You can choose any Rank Three Spirit Beast to be your companion."
Hearing his words, both Mo Xiuluo and Bing Dong'er took a deep breath.
Spirit Beast has other uses other than Spirit Cores, and that is making them your companion. This is one of the must haves in this world, as signing with one is beneficial to both parties. One, you don't have to give them any resources and they'll grow as your strengths improve and it improves in battle. Two, it's a free subordinate that can't refuse your request and you can order it around. It's like a minion in games.
"Then we will strive for first place." Bing Dong'er replied.
Jiang Feng nodded, and his face had a happy expression, but Bing Dong'er looked at Mo Xiuluo with a bit of weirdness.
'This doesn't benefit him at all, as Demonic Cultivators can't have Spirit Beast as companions because of their life force...' But she didn't say anything and waited for Jiang Feng to continue.
"That is why I asked you two to come. To tell you the news and also to give you something."
Jiang Feng opened his palm and there was a red jade bottle.
"These are pills that help cultivators breakthrough."
Bing Dong'er took a peek, and saw the pills, and was a bit disappointed.
'Only the Lower Great Breakthrough Pills...' She wanted to laugh. The pills she had were already much stronger, but she still politely thanked her Master.
Mo Xiulou was also grateful.
"You two shouldn't slack off in the slightest. I heard of a famous Duo that's a part of Peak of Serenity and they're both couples." Saying that, he looked at the two ambiguously.
'I bet they also do "couple training" like these two... Maybe even more.' He thought, and laughed in his mind, but turned a bit sad as a figure popped up in his mind.
"Go train." Saying this, he pushed them out of his room.
The two felt the cold breeze of the door as it slammed behind them, and the two looked at each other and laughed.
"Let's go." Bing Dong'er said and began to walk.
"Where to?"
"Where else? The fighting pit. Although you don't benefit from the first place reward, I do."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
Bing Dong'er paused, and turned around to face Mo Xiuluo.
"You don't know?" She asked with a little bit of surprise on her face.
Mo Xiuluo shook his head and uttered one word, "No."
"Demonic Cultivator's can't have spirit beast's as companions. You will die."
Hearing her, Mo Xiuluo couldn't say anything for a second and just stared at her.
"Really?" Mo Xiulou questioned.
"Yes. Unless you have some secret skill that's not known to the world that's able to suppress your Demonic energy, you won't be able to take it. Once you devour any life, it gets mixed up in your diantian, making it impossible for any form of life to be mixed with yours."
Hearing her explain, he had a face full of shock, but he knew he had a chance to try. After all, he owns the Unholy Body that gets rid of all the side effects of cultivating the path of demons.
"Don't worry about it too much. Go and start training again." Mo Xiuluo said, shaking his head.
