The morning light filtered through the curtains as Kevin stirred awake. He felt a warm presence pressed against him, and as his eyes adjusted to the light, he realized that Jyahnar had wrapped herself around him, her body clinging to him like a second skin.
A soft smile tugged at Kevin's lips as he gently brushed a strand of hair from her face. She had been unusually affectionate since last night, and it was clear to him that something had changed between them.
Using his karmic threads, Kevin quietly accessed the threads of fate that bound them together. His breath caught as he saw the deep red line connecting him to Jyahnar, signifying a profound bond—she now loved him deeply, her feelings rooted in her very soul. The realization filled Kevin with a sense of responsibility, and he knew he had to protect her.
Kevin already establish soul bond with Jyahnar. He received authority of water and authority of Darkness from her.
Jyahnar stirred beside him, her eyes fluttering open as she looked up at Kevin. A shy smile crossed her lips, and without a word, she snuggled closer, her arms tightening around him. "Morning," she murmured, her voice soft and content.
"Morning," Kevin replied, brushing a kiss against her forehead. "You've become quite clingy," his tone gentle.
Jyahnar blushed but didn't pull away. "I can't help it," she admitted. "I want to stay close to you."
Kevin chuckled, enjoying the rare sight of Jyahnar blushing with her feelings. "Well, I'm not complaining," he said, holding her close. "But we should get up. There's a lot to do today."
Reluctantly, Jyahnar nodded, and they both rose from the bed.
Later, in the shower, Kevin couldn't help but admire Jyahnar as the water cascaded over their bodies. Her skin glistened, and despite the looming battle, Kevin felt a desire to connect with her once more. Without a word, he pulled her close, his lips capturing hers in a passionate kiss. Jyahnar responded eagerly, her arms winding around his neck as Kevin's hands explored her body, reacquainting himself with every curve and dip.
Their intimacy was brief, a quickie that left them both satisfied, but also mindful of the battle ahead.
Afterward, as they toweled off, Kevin noticed Jyahnar's contented smile. He couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for her, knowing how deeply she now cared for him.
"Ready to face the day?" Kevin asked as he handed her a fresh towel.
Jyahnar nodded, her eyes shining with determination.
Kevin's heart warmed at her words, and he pulled her into a brief embrace. "We'll get through this together and never separate," he promised, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
The rest of the day was spent in preparation for the impending battle against the final Herrscher. Kevin worked tirelessly, ensuring that Jyahnar's equipment and suit were in perfect condition. He wanted to make sure she had everything she needed to face the coming storm.
Meanwhile, Mei approached Elysia, handing her a suit she had personally crafted. "This should protect you," Mei said, her voice filled with concern. "Make sure you come back in one piece."
Elysia smiled, her usual grace and charm evident even in the face of danger. "I will, Mei. Don't worry about me."
As Kevin fine-tuned Jyahnar's suit, she watched him with quiet admiration. "You're really going all out for me," she remarked, her voice filled with emotion.
Kevin glanced up, meeting her gaze. "Of course. I want you to be safe out there. We all need to be at our best."
Jyahnar nodded, her heart swelling with affection for him. "I'll do my best."
In the corner of the room, Bronya worked on her own special suit. She had designed it alone, pouring all her knowledge and skill into its creation. When she finished, she quietly approached Kevin and Jyahnar.
"Here," Bronya said, holding out a small device. "This will help stabilize your suit's energy output. It's a little something I made."
Kevin took the device, nodding in appreciation. "Thanks, Bronya. This will definitely come in handy."
Bronya simply nodded.
As the sun began to set, signaling the end of their preparations, the team gathered together. It was time to descend on the moon and confront the final Herrscher.
Kevin stood before the group, his gaze sweeping over each of them—Mei, Mobius, Su, Kosma, and Kalpas. Each of them had been through so much, and yet here they were, ready to fight for their future.
Mei stepped forward, her eyes locked on Kevin's. "Survive this," she said, her voice trembling slightly with emotion. She reached up, cupping his cheek in her hand before leaning in to press a soft kiss to his other cheek. "I'll be waiting for you."
Kevin smiled softly, his heart aching at the thought of leaving her behind. "I'll be back," he promised, pulling her into a tight hug. "I swear it."
One by one, Kevin embraced each of his comrades, exchanging quiet words of encouragement and determination. As they made their way to the ship, the rest of their allies gathered to see them off. Everyone waved and called out their well-wishes, the air filled with a sense of camaraderie and hope.
As the ship's engines roared to life, Kevin took a final look at those they were leaving behind. He locked eyes with Mei, who stood at the front of the crowd, her hand raised in a silent farewell.
"We'll be back," Kevin murmured, more to himself than anyone else.
The ship began to ascend, and soon, they were en route to the moon. The journey was brief, but the weight of what awaited them pressed heavily on their minds.
As they approached the moon's surface, Kevin glanced at Jyahnar and elysia , who sat beside him. She looked calm, but he could sense the tension in her body.
Even she is nervous. Kevin thought.
"We're almost there," he said, reaching out to take her hand.
Jyahnar nodded, squeezing his hand tightly. "I'll protect you."
Kevin smiled. It seems she is afraid that we might not survive and again separate.
The ship landed smoothly on the moon's barren surface. As they stepped out, the group marveled at the desolate beauty of their surroundings. The silence was deafening, but there was a certain serenity to the void of space.
Despite the lack of atmosphere, Kevin and the others, being MANTIS, had no need for breath. Their enhanced bodies were more than capable of surviving the vacuum of space, their strength and resilience unmatched.
"Alright, everyone," Kevin said, his voice carrying over the team's communication devices. "This is it. We face the final Herrscher here and now. Let's end this once and for all."
Everyone nodded.
As they reached the lunar surface, Kevin, Elysia, Jyahnar, and Bronya noticed a substantial increase in Honkai energy. The air seemed to thicken with an unseen force, making each breath heavy, even in the vacuum of space.
"A sudden change in space-time," Kevin muttered, his senses heightened as he scanned the area, feeling the shift in the fabric of reality itself.
Elysia's eyes widened, her instincts flaring in alarm. "Such an increase in energy... it's off the charts," she said, her tone laced with concern.
Bronya's voice came through the comms from their ship, analytical and precise. "Honkai energy has increased by 107 times in our surroundings," she reported, her digital systems working overtime to keep up with the data.
Jyahnar, her gaze intense, focused on the distant horizon. "I can sense her," she whispered, the words carrying a weight that pressed down on the team. "She's close... and she's powerful than before."
Before they could prepare further, the space above them split open, a colossal rip tearing through the sky like a wound in reality. From within the void, a figure emerged, descending with an ethereal grace.
A woman, her hair as white as snow and her wings shimmering with a golden radiance, appeared before them. Her eyes, cold and devoid of emotion, surveyed them with an air of indifference.
"Human... annihilate," she intoned, her voice reverberating through the vacuum of space, a chilling echo of doom.
With a mere wave of her hand, the moon trembled, and space itself seemed to convulse in pain. A massive shockwave rippled outward, threatening to tear the very surface of the moon apart.
"Cana, now!" Kevin shouted, bracing himself against the overwhelming force.
Jyahnar reacted instantly, summoning the primordial darkness from within her. Her eyes flashed from their usual blue to a deep ominous red as she conjured a barrier that enveloped the group, the darkness swallowing the shockwave and dispersing it into the void.
Elysia, sensing the dire situation, brought out her staff and began concentrating energy into it, her expression a mask of determination. "This isn't going to be easy," she muttered, her grip tightening around the staff.
"Bronya, keep us informed!" Kevin ordered, his voice tense as he activated his void authority, teleporting across the battlefield to close the distance between himself and the Herrscher.
"Understood ni sama," Bronya's voice was steady, though the urgency in her tone was unmistakable.
