The next thing Karna noticed was that he was inside Kevin Kaslana's body. The apartment he found himself in was modest—neither big nor small, but comfortably furnished.
Karna looked down, examining Kevin's physique. He noted Kevin's athletic build and handsome features, a stark contrast to his own. The muscles were toned, the body primed for battle. "At least this body is impressive," he muttered to himself.
Then, his eyes were drawn to the system screen that appeared before him. The requirements to unlock Kevin's template were listed:
1. Touch a Herrscher gem
2. Undergo MANTIS operation.
3. Fight against an Emperor-class or above class Honkai beast.
4. Fight against Herrscher
Karna cursed the god and the existence that created this system. "I'll die before I fight those monsters!" he yelled, staring at the ceiling in frustration.

This might be better. Karna thought.
A soft chime broke the silence, drawing his attention back to the screen. A new notification flashed: "Do you want to unlock the Voldigoad bloodline and the stigma of a Herrscher?"
Karna hesitated for a moment, then clicked "Yes." Immediately, an excruciating pain surged through his body. He doubled over, clutching his chest as his muscles began to contract and expand. His entire physique started to change—muscles becoming more defined and leaner, his height increasing until he stood a solid six feet tall.
As the pain subsided, he stood up, feeling the newfound strength coursing through his veins. He glanced at the mirror, seeing Kevin's reflection staring back at him. The transformation was complete—he was now a blend of Karna and Kevin, empowered by the Voldigoad bloodline and the Herrscher's stigma.
"Alright," he said, his voice steady with determination. "If this is my fate, I'll face it head-on. But I'll do it my way."
Kevin's current life, that of an ordinary high school student with no knowledge of the Honkai, was still a mystery to him. Karna had no memories to guide him, only the system's directives and his own resolve. He needed to adapt quickly, to navigate this new existence while preparing for the battles ahead.
He donned his school uniform, feeling the crisp fabric settle against his newly transformed body. "Senba Academy," he muttered, recalling the prestigious institution Kevin attended. "Let's see what this place is like."
As he reached the gates of Senba Academy, he was immediately surrounded by an entourage of lively girls, all practically fawning over him. Their voices melded into a chorus of admiration and excitement.
"Kevin, good morning!"
"Prince Kevin, you're looking handsome as always!"
"Do you have any plans after school today, Kevin?"
Karna inwardly sighed, maintaining a polite smile while interacting with the eager students. "Good morning, everyone," he said, trying to keep his responses brief. "Thank you for your compliments."
One particularly bold girl stepped forward, her eyes sparkling with admiration. "Kevin, would you like to join us for lunch today?"
Karna smiled politely, though he inwardly sighed again. "I'm sorry, I have some things I need to take care of during lunch. Maybe another time."
The girl pouted slightly but nodded, stepping back into the crowd. As he walked through the bustling hallways of Senba Academy, Karna couldn't help but feel a mixture of amusement and exasperation at the attention.
"Kevin, are you free this weekend?" another girl asked, her eyes hopeful.
"I'm not sure yet," Karna replied diplomatically. "I might have some family obligations."
"Kevin, you're always so busy," another girl chimed in, giggling. "You need to take a break sometimes!"
Kevin chuckled, trying to keep the conversation light. "I'll keep that in mind."
Another girl, slightly more reserved, approached him with a shy smile. "Kevin, I made some cookies. Would you like to try them?"
Kevin took the offered cookies, smiling warmly. "Thank you, I'll definitely try them."
As the girls continued to surround him, chatting animatedly, Karna felt a tap on his shoulder. Turning, he saw a girl with a confident air and a mischievous grin.
"Prince Kevin," she teased, "you've got quite the fan club."
Kevin laughed, shaking his head. "I guess so."
The girl laughed, clearly amused. "Well, if you ever need a break, you know where to find me."
Karna nodded, " I'll keep that in mind."
Finally managing to extricate himself from the crowd, Karna made his way to his first class. As he sat down, he couldn't help but reflect on the morning's events. The attention was overwhelming, but it also provided a unique insight into Kevin's life.
"Well," he thought to himself, "if this is what it means to be Kevin Kaslana, I suppose I'll have to get used to it. But I need to stay focused. There are bigger challenges ahead than just navigating high school."
Once Karna managed to find a moment of solitude, he called up the system screen to check the abilities granted by the Voldigoad bloodline and the Herrscher stigma.

After a morning filled with the usual high school hustle, the classes continued as Karna—or rather, Kevin—navigated the day. He was still adjusting to the blend of mundane school life with his newfound powers and the attention of his peers.
During a brief lull between classes, Su approached Kevin with a concerned expression. Su was Kevin's best friend, known for his short gray hair, black and white uniform, and distinctive yellow tie.
Despite their recent separation due to internal conflicts because of stigma project, Su's friendship had always been unwavering.
"Kevin, there you are!" Su exclaimed as he approached, his voice a mix of relief and surprise. "I've been looking for you. You missed school for two days. Where have you been?"
Kevin turned to face him, his demeanor a mix of casual ease and curiosity. "Oh, hey Su. I've been around."
Su's eyes widened slightly as he took in Kevin's transformed appearance. "Are you really Kevin? You look... different. Completely different."
Kevin chuckled, trying to sound nonchalant. "Who else would I be?"
Su looked skeptical. "Seriously, Kevin. Your whole look has changed. What happened?"
Kevin shrugged, playing it cool. "Maybe my hormones are kicking in. You know how it is."
Su wasn't convinced. "Don't lie to me. What's really going on?"
Kevin sighed, deciding to give Su a bit more. "Honestly, I'm not sure. I came down with a fever, and when I woke up, my body had changed. My physical appearance is different, and I've noticed an increase in my strength."
Su fell silent for a moment, his mind racing. His family had a background in dealing with Honkai-infected individuals, and he had some knowledge about Honkai energy. The idea that Honkai energy might have strengthened Kevin was plausible, but such cases were rare and typically involved more significant alterations.
Su's expression turned thoughtful as he pondered Kevin's words. "Honkai energy... but this is unusual. I've never heard of it causing such drastic changes in someone."
Kevin nodded. "Yeah, I don't fully understand it myself. But I'm starting to get used to it."
Before Su could probe further, the class bell rang, signaling the start of the next session. The teacher entered the room, and the students quickly fell into their seats. Kevin and Su exchanged a final glance before settling in for the continuous stream of classes that followed.
The morning passed in a blur of lectures and assignments. Kevin found himself balancing between the typical school activities and his inner contemplation of the changes he was undergoing.
As the clock ticked towards lunch break, he couldn't shake the feeling that his transformation was only the beginning of something much larger.
Finally, the lunch break arrived. The students poured out into the cafeteria, chattering about their morning classes and the upcoming events..
