Time seemed to slip away, and three months had passed since the day Kyoji received his talent during the blessing ritual, and now, it was finally time to earn his Hunter's license.

The academy, recognizing the importance of this day, had given the students two days off to prepare and relax. As Kyoji walked towards the academy gate, he spotted Ethan, who was already there waiting for him.

It had been a while since they'd had a chance to hang out. Kyoji's rigorous training schedule made it difficult to see friends, and they had only bumped into each other a handful of times.

"Hey buddy, long time no see!" Ethan greeted him as soon as Kyoji came into view.

"Good to see you too. How have you been holding up?" Kyoji asked.

Ethan's face fell;

"Not great," he admitted.

"Still worried about your talent not awakening?" Kyoji asked, already knowing the answer.

Ethan nodded miserably.
