Capítulo 69: A Broken King

Before the Chapter begins I'll warn you that I don't make my Mcs Invincible.

=========================

Charybdis had just finished corrupting Ramiris and was soaring through the sky when she sensed the troubling fluctuations.

Her anger was bubbling as she detected Akira's injury; the very thought of her daughter in pain drove her into a furious rage.

However, amid her anger, she felt Veldora's immense power and emotional turmoil, forcing her to compose herself.

She had left him there to protect them she shouldn't abandon her end of the plan recklessly.

The urgency of the situation demanded clarity of mind.

Navigating through the skies, she flew straight toward the harpy kingdom with incredible speed.

The force of her flight was so immense that it cleaved the capital in half, leaving devastation in her wake.

She was guided instinctively toward the basement of the palace, where her enemies were hiding.

As she broke through the palace's defenses, Charybdis descended into the darkness below. Her keen eyes quickly locked onto the scene: Lucien, panting heavily, Feldway, and a pitiful, charred Ashoka.

Ashoka's conditionwas so severe that the man was alive through sheer will.

Charybdis ignored him, her focus entirely on Lucien, whose very presence was repulsive to her instincts.

With a swift and determined movement, she appeared directly beside Lucien.

Her fist, glowing with raw power, aimed straight for his heart.

Lucien's body, cloaked in an energy that partially nullified physical attacks, tried to repel her strike.

However, Charybdis was relentless. She increased the pressure with her divine haki, her hand pressing through the barriers and reaching towards his heart.

"Aaaagh"

Lucien's screams echoed through the chamber, his voice hoarse and strained as the agony set in.

His vocal cords were damaged from the force of his cries.

Feldway, sensing the imminent threat, tried to vanish from sight.

But an invisible pressure, a manifestation of Charybdis's will, held him firmly in place.

Charybdis's presence was like a tempest, an unrelenting storm.

---

Ashoka lay there, a charred shell of his former self.

His kingdom, his people, his body, and even fragments of his soul had been lost.

Yet, a single ember of his will remained, fueled by an unwavering desire for vengeance.

He had been reduced to a mere remnant of his former glory, but his spirit burned with a fervor that defied his physical ruin.

His hatred was directed toward one being: Charybdis, the wretched existence who had summoned him to this world and wreaked havoc upon it.

Seeing Charybdis so close, Ashoka's will flared.

He suppressed the urge to lash out immediately, instead focusing on a final, desperate act.

Summoning his ultimate attack, he prepared to sacrifice everything that remained of him.

This would be his final stroke, his ultimate summoning to end the great evil that stood before him.

In his mind, he began to chant, calling upon the thousands of skills of his fallen soldiers and loyalists.

They had entrusted him with their hopes, their dreams of freedom from Charybdis's cruel grasp.

Their sacrifices, their years of existence, culminated in this moment.

He called upon the gods that resided beyond the vastness of Veldnava's creations.

He invoked the 33 qualities of the divine, beseeching them to lend him their strength in this dire hour.

He did not seek power for power's sake; he sought only the means to destroy Charybdis.

"By the names of the thirty-three divine virtues, by the spirits who have walked the ancient paths, I summon thee."

" I sacrifice the myriad skills of my loyal soldiers, the essence of my fallen comrades, in this final plea."

" O gods beyond the stars, hear my call. Grant me the power to smite this evil, to end the suffering she has wrought."

"Bestow upon me strength beyond measure, just for this moment. Let me be your vessel of justice, your instrument of retribution. "

"I ask not for immortality, nor for endless power, but for the might to strike true against this wretched existence. In this ultimate hour, I offer my soul as the final sacrifice."

As he chanted, he could feel the power building within him, a culmination of all the sacrifices and prayers of those who had fallen.

The room seemed to vibrate with a new energy, one that was both ancient and immeasurable.

He felt the divine presence answering his call, vesting him with the strength needed for this one, decisive blow.

Charybdis turned, her expression hardening as she felt the divine energy radiating from Ashoka.

Her instincts screamed at her to retreat, to flee from this burgeoning threat.

She saw in his eyes the reflection of all the sacrifices and hopes vested in him.

The air around him crackled with otherworldly power, and the very fabric of reality seemed to tremble.

Ashoka saw it in her eyes—fear, genuine and profound.

He knew this was his moment.

The divine energy within him reached its zenith, and he felt a final surge of power welling up.

He unleashed it with all his remaining strength, a brilliant torrent of light and force that surged toward Charybdis with unerring precision.

She raised her defenses, but the purity and magnitude of the attack overwhelmed her barriers, striking her with the accumulated wrath of thousands.

Charybdis faced Ashoka, her body battered but unyielding.

Each strike from Ashoka's divine power tore through her, but her resilience kept her standing.

She began chanting the incantation for her Marble Phantasm, "Shashvata Narakam," but the words came in pieces, between each brutal exchange.

"By the shadows of humanity's darkest desires," she whispered, dodging a blow that shattered the ground where she stood.

Ashoka's fist connected with her side, breaking bones and tearing flesh. Charybdis gritted her teeth, enduring the pain. "By the essence of all sins and liars," she continued, her voice strained.

Another strike, this time to her shoulder, nearly dislocated her arm.

She retaliated with a burst of divine energy, pushing Ashoka back for a brief moment. "I summon forth the eternal blight," she said, her voice growing stronger.

Ashoka's relentless assault resumed, but Charybdis found small openings to speak her incantation.

"To bring the world's truth into light," she chanted, her words a beacon of her indomitable will.

Ashoka lunged again, and Charybdis barely managed to dodge.

"By the blood of the fallen and the cries of the damned," she said, her breath ragged.

She countered with a flurry of divine strikes, her power momentarily holding Ashoka at bay.

"By the sins of man, both slight and grand," she continued, her voice now filled with determination.

Ashoka's next attack was fiercer, but Charybdis held her ground, focusing on her chant.

"I call upon the abyssal flame," she uttered, as Ashoka's fist grazed her cheek, drawing blood.

She summoned a shield of divine energy, absorbing the next blow. "To consume all within its name," she chanted, her eyes blazing with resolve.

"From the depths of eternal despair," she continued, summoning her strength as Ashoka's strikes grew more relentless. "I weave the threads of nightmarish air," she said, her voice unwavering despite the pain.

"Shashvata Narakam, rise and stand," she chanted, as Ashoka's blow shattered her shield and sent her sprawling.

She struggled to her feet, refusing to give in. "Embodiment of sin by my command."

Ashoka's next attack was a flurry of blows that seemed impossible to dodge.

Charybdis took the hits, her body nearly giving out. "Unveil the truths hidden in lies," she whispered, blood dripping from her wounds.

With a fierce cry, she unleashed a burst of energy, creating a brief respite. "Expose the rot beneath the guise," she said, her voice echoing with power.

"From the darkest corners of the soul," she continued, summoning all her strength. "Consume the world, make it whole."

Ashoka lunged again, but Charybdis saw her opening. "In this phantasm, all shall see," she chanted, her voice resonating with ancient power. "The perfect world, as it should be."

"By my will, let the sins ignite," she roared, her energy flaring. "And bring forth eternal night."

In that moment, the chant completed, the Marble Phantasm activated.

The air around her shimmered with power as the wretched domain materialized, filling the space with a blinding night.
