Capítulo 15: 15. Sorcerer and Curse

"Now speak please, Mr.Sorcerer." Light and unhurried, Makima's monotone voice seemed to be demanding something from him rather than merely asking. If she was to say so herself, the male sorcerer before her was rather pitiful.

His professionalism was unfounded as he stared at her with utter fear. The look that she was too used to. It reminded her of her life, no matter what she did, she couldn't form a human relationship so why bothered it? She could control people with the same ease as breathing by using this fear. Thus, improving her effectiveness in working.

However, Makima couldn't help thinking that if Veilhem looked at her like that, what would she do then?

Would she feel hurt like that she saw in the movie? Or just a complete emptiness?

The question was left unanswered, but one thing was certain: she did not want it to happen.

Maybe she was off topic a little bit. First thing first, Makima needed to interrogate this man in order to get some intels.

The man now had a dull look on his face as he answered her question one by one. He saw their Curse Energy like that of a Cursed Spirit. Makima had unintentionally leaked out an absurd Curse Energy stronger than whatever he had seen before, even greater than the semi-grade one that he fought here.

Veilhem, on the other hand, was like a beacon that attracted Cursed Spirits due to his tremendous negative emotions swelling him. It couldn't be said that any human in his shoes would no doubt go insane in an instant. It was simply a miracle that Veilhem could act as if this was nothing to worry about.

Hearing this, Makima turned her eyes to look at him over her shoulder, a surprise flashed through her eyes but it disappeared as fast as it came in the first place.

They listened to the explanation the male sorcerer had to offer and it led them to a better understanding about the Jujutsu World.

"What is your technique by the way?" Veilhem asked, his curiosity piqued.

"My Innate Technique allows me to create a weapon as long as I know about its structure. I can't create something that defies the physics law in any of the known theories, like gravity guns or lightsabers you see in some fictions."

"Another downside is that I can only create one thing at a time and the output of the created weapon depends on how much Cursed Energy I used."

"I call the technique Weapon Creation."

The sorcerer answered truthfully, describing the full extent of his Cursed Technique. For a Sorcerer, the information about their technique was very sensitive and couldn't be shared easily but for Makima, it was very easy to get her hand on.

After they extorted every last bit of what he knew including his name, innate technique and even his association, Makima put the index finger on her lips and fixed her eyes at the man.

"Repeat after me, I will give you my all." Makima said, her alluring voice lingered in the poor sorcerer's eardrums.

"Wh-what?" He asked confusingly at the sudden request.

"Repeat after me please. I will give you my all." Makima didn't lose her patience. From the outside look, it looked like Makima was teaching the sorcerer how to spell but Veilhem knew she was taking control over his subconsciousness to force him into the contract. He had to give her credit for that seeing how gorgeous she looked from the side.

Veilhem now had a better understanding of what a Devil was capable of. They weren't some abominations with distorted limbs and horns speaking about contracts and hell but they would come to you as the perfect figure you could imagine.

After all, who wouldn't like it if the person asking you nicely combined with how splendidly they look?

"I-I will give you my all." At that moment, his fate was sealed and the pact was formed.

"You will not speak or remember anything about our conversation and that you had just taken a nap due to the fatigue after fighting with the Cursed Spirit. Are we clear?"

He nodded with a blank look still on his face. Then, Makima snapped her fingers and the man fell to the ground as if the strings that held him till now were cut off. Veilhem dragged the man and set up a fake scene that could barely convince the man.

After that, they walked off the scene silently, like the whole ordeal had never happened in the first place and entered the crowd of people that was blocked by the police.

Makima had the usual calculative smile tugged on her face as Veilhem enjoyed the scenery.

His eyes darted from left to right, expecting something or someone to notice their action. After all, they had just made the grandest entry with nothing to cover, and then strolled away as if it was the most natural thing.

Even Veilhem himself was baffled by how the situation played out.

Seeing his confused state, Makima couldn't help but chuckle a bit. She gave him a nudge in the arm with a cocky grin and a proud look, saying, 'I did it; praise me'.

Veilhem rolled his eyes at her little agenda and realized how dangerous she would be if they were ever enemies.

Makima could control what they could and couldn't perceive. How can you win against an opponent when you don't even realize you are in the battle with them to begin with?

That was too overpowered in his opinion but again, she was a Devil so this much had to be expected with a species he wasn't used to.

For the next hour, they strolled the street as they grabbed some food together, with Veilhem carrying most of them. There was little to no conversation as Veilhem just followed Makima to wherever she wanted to go.

"Can you hold this for me, please?" Makima gave him the bags that contained her new clothes after her shopping.

When had he become her personal carrier all of a sudden? Veilhem whined and complained inwardly but despite his grudge, he still did it in the end.

After that, they went to the cinema. Makima ordered some popcorn and drinks as they went to choose the movie to watch. Basically, if any outsiders looked at it, 11 out of 10 people would say that they were dating.

"Well, that movie is kinda…" Veilhem was struggling to describe the movie he and Makima watched over the past two hours. The animation and actors looked convincing enough to him and the whole experience was… pretty refreshing. But the content within it was plainly…

"Ass?" Makima finished his sentence for him. She took out a cigarette in her pocket and lit it up. Taking a deep puff, she began to walk off.

However, even after a while, she didn't hear a response from him so she turned back to look at Veilhem only to find that he stood there with a shocked gaze.

He had never seen her use such informal language before and was taken aback by the sudden change.

"I learned that from you, Veilhem-san." She laughed at him. A genuine smile splashed across her face as she said that.

"Hey! Don't shift the blame on me!" He protested to no avail as she ignored him with a small smile tugged on her lips.

-Boom!-

Suddenly, an explosion erupted in the cinema they were in and people started running and yelling in panic.

"I get that this will be a long day." Veilhem sighed as he saw the chaos unfold in front of him, whereas Makima looked unbothered by it.

Carrying her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, he printed toward the scene. There, they saw the supposed Cursed Spirit that was laughing maniacally.

(Pic)

It had a humanoid-shaped body but from the mouth was stretched to an absurd level that wasn't correct with any normal flesh-based creature. Inside that mouth were the craggy teeth that sprouted and grew unorderly.

But the most noticeable thing was that its tongue was replaced with another humanoid shaped creature, with its torso torn open and the viscera left out, exposed to the naked eyes.

Veilhem frowned upon seeing the abomination from afar as they inspected the behaviors of the creature. Makima, on the other hand, seemed very interested in the way it hunted humans.

The lower humanoid creature acted as the body and caught the victim with its immense physical strength, while the upper half had the task of capturing its ill-fated victims and slowly devouring them.

However, despite all that, its victims didn't resist at all. They let themselves be captured and devoured as the creature wreaked havoc in the room. All of the people within 5-meter radius acted that way; the rest of them had evacuated through the narrow exit door.

"Haaah, guess I will do it if no one here can." Veilhem sighed as he grabbed onto his blade behind his back. But before he could do it, Makima held him back, which earned a frown from him.

"There is a sorcerer over there." She pointed at the black hair with a side-bang man who wore the black uniform. He walked toward the Cursed Spirit as he summoned a dragon-like Curse out.

"I want to see how sorcerers exorcise this Cursed Spirit. If they can't, then you will be the next." She explained. Pondering a bit, Veilhem nodded and waited in his spot silently.

However, there was an unexpected person with white hair looking at them intensely. He had the same outfit as the young sorcerer who was fighting the Cursed Spirit.

It was none other than Gojo Satoru in the flesh.

Gojo stared at them as he lowered his sunglasses. A wide grin appeared on his face as his pupils shrank with newfound excitement.

Veilhem also noticed this and he whispered to Makima. "Isn't he Gojo that you talked about? And is he staring at us?"

Makima turned her gaze to the direction he pointed at and nodded. "Yes, that's the guy and he is definitely looking at us."

An amused look splashed across Veilhem's face as he waited for the other party to respond. If Gojo Satoru was here then that must be Geto Suguru who was fighting the Curse. He stared back at Gojo and their eyes met.

Suddenly, Gojo appeared next to them with his laid back expression and approached them. Even with the notorious Six Eyes, Gojo couldn't see through Veilhem and Makima. The information influx he saw was strange and made no sense at all. This was due to the fact that Makima had slightly altered their appearance and what others could perceive them as they didn't want to walk around with Veilhem wearing his armor which could gather attention of the crowd.

"You are interesting. Who are you? No, the question would be, what are you?" He asked as he proceeded to sit on the seat next to them.

However, unlike what Gojo expected, they both chose to ignore him completely and locked their gaze into the battle. Makima even sipped her drink while Veilhem ate his popcorn.

Who is he? Gojo fucking Satoru! The strongest sorcerer in modern time. Who the fuck wouldn't know about him?

Thinking of this, he couldn't help being grumbling and slouching into the movie theater's seat. The two people he found interesting hadn't shown any hostility toward him or the weird bang over there fighting Cursed Spirit so he had no issue of letting them be.

"I'm talking to you. Can you hear me?" Gojo bugged Veilhem and Makima to trigger the latter but to no avail.

In their eyes, Gojo was nothing but a man-child so they ignored him completely. Dealing with him could possibly wane his sanity.

"Shouldn't you help your friend over there?" Veilhem asked as he glanced at the grumble white-haired sorcerer sitting next to him, using it as a distraction to this nuisance.

The Cursed Spirit wasn't that strong of a specimen, it just had a slightly stronger physical aspect of a human and the weird ability that made the victim couldn't perceive what was going on. Probably third grade to semi-second grade at most.

"Nah, Weird bang would win." The reply fell short. Gojo wasn't interested in meddling with weakling.

Soon after, the black-haired sorcerer summoned his own Cursed Spirits and started using numbers to overwhelm the Cursed Spirit he was fighting. The battle unfolded with little to no climatic event as the difference in power between both sides was clear.

The Cursed Spirit shrieked in anguish and it fell to the ground. The upper and lower part of it were cleanly cut in two halves. Despite all that, it still lived. The life force of a Cursed Spirit was phenomenal.

Its upper part clawed toward the lower body, leaving a trail of purple blood on its way.

Geto came up close as he extended his hand toward it. An immense pull force surged toward the Curse but it had reached its lower body part. The upper part sunk its teeth into the flesh of the lower part, consuming itself.

The sound of flesh tearing, bones crackling, and blood splashing were heard throughout the theater hall. But that didn't help it, as it was slowly shrinking and flying into Geto's hand.

However, the unexpected happened.

"Now this is the real movie here." Commented Veilhem as he popped the popcorn into his mouth.

Makima had an amused look on her face while Gojo's pupils shrunk as this was the first time he saw this phenomenal but that awe look returned to normal instantly.

"Oy, oy, Seriously?" Gojo mumbled as he felt his fighting spirit flare up.

"Domain Expansion: Altar of Death"

(A/N: and so they met... can't wait to fk up these characters. Also, fuck the world balance, we ball. Throw in some cosmic abominations to see how they do.)

(P/s: Should I add my discord here? Nah, it's too much work and I'm the disciple of the lazy sect.)
