Kanto
The next few months following Ash's victory in the Silver Conference were very chaotic to put it lightly. From having to clear out the paperwork, to coming up with a schedule with Misty who was planning on travelling through Jhoto herself, to setting up various interviews, Ash was swamped. He could have done without the last one but sadly it came with the territory of being a winner of a Conference. Every reporter had only one question to ask him at that point, 'Was he planning on becoming a triple Champion holder?'
Ash signed the last paperwork for the day, "Done!"
Pikachu cooed, "Pika."
Lance, "You are quick."
Ash scratched the yellow Pokemon's chin, "Perks of being a writer."
Lance chuckled, "Indeed. Oh, before I forget your request to travel Hoenn incognito had been approved. They, meaning the gym leaders and Champions will keep your identity a secret."
Ash perked up, "That is most appreciated."
Lance, "Does this mean you will not be performing in contests?"
Ash, "I want to focus on completing my thesis in Hoenn and introducing a new book aside from Hogwarts Chronicles 6."
Lance, "Are we getting a new Horror Story?"
Ash smiled, "Yes, and I am planning on introducing a new genre."
Lance, "A new genre? May I ask what?"
Ash gave a cheeky grin, "Transmigration!"
Lance, "Excuse me?"
Ash almost laughed, "Transmigration, the act of accidentally ending up in a completely different world."
Lance laughed, "I see. I look forward to it."
Ash, "You will love it."
Lance, "Now, I believe your Pokemon are waiting for you."
Ash, "I will see you around Lance and thank you."
Ash moved through the Blackthorn castle and found Alakazam who was in charge of teleporting him to Saffron City. From there he would be reported by another psychic Pokemon to Pallet town, where most of his Pokemon were currently. Most of them, Omastar returned to the Omanyte reserve to protect his fellow Pokemon while Blastoise was part of the main fire fighter team and Charizard joined the Rangers. Silver and Red were very happy to have Charizard as part of the Ranger group. The orange fire lizard had become notorious for hunting down poachers.
Ash, "Thank you for the ride, Alakazam."
Alakazam, -You do not have to mention it, young Guardian.-
Ash, "I recall you like raspberries so I got you a pack of it."
Alakazam looked very pleased, -Thank you and yes I do enjoy them.-
Ash left the older psychic type as he went to a different booth which would help him teleport to Pallet town. Ash thought about the last two years, while he waited his turn, from dealing with Spearrow flock to getting attacked by Team Rocket's darker faction to deciding on what he wanted to do. He does not regret taking part in both Gym challenge and contest if he were to be honest, it was fun combining both techniques and coming up with new styles. It was also the reason why Misty decided to take part in Jhoto contest run while Serena was going to take part in the Kanto League.
Sabrina, "Ash?"
Ash, "Sabrina, Lt Surge is with you too."
Lt Surge, "How have you been sport?"
Ash, "Good, waiting for my ride. Did you return from your meeting in Unova?"
Sabrina, "Yes, they wished to send some trainers to Kanto. It was our job to screen them."
Ash, "Ooh! Sounds like you got your hands full."
Lt Surge, "You got screened too before your application was accepted by Hoenn. Do not be surprised, it is basically a common practice at this point."
Ash, "I think I understand. Knowing the laws and geography is very important. Especially when it comes to certain Pokemon that are endangered."
Sabrina, "Indeed, it is. Oh! I brought some chocolates from Unova. Here take some with you. I personally prefer savoury food more and I don't want Sabra to ruin her appetite."
Ash, "Oh! Thank you. By the way I am planning on making a new Horror Story but this time it is based on a murder case."
Lt Surge, "Seriously?"
Ash, "It will be like a warning to always stay safe. You never know when someone might want to steal your kid away."
Ash grinned at the two as they talked about a few details of the story he was planning on writing about a bunch of children who were kidnapped on plain sight. Sabrina then commented there were multiple cases where kidnappers used Pokemon to lure young children using their Pokemon to kidnap them. Ash nodded and explained he would be using bits and pieces of different cases to write his real life horror novel this time. The book would be based on true events while still being a very obvious fictional story. The three of them got up when it was time for Ash to go and wished him luck and farewell.
Lt Surge, "Heh! Among all the trainers I have dealt with I can honestly say that kid is one of the more ambitious ones."
Sabrina, "Agreed! He trains his Pokemon so they can be powerful leaders while also following his own interests. Not many can claim to have a similar achievement."
Lt Surge, "Which is why kids like him are only born once in a lifetime. I hope he never loses that spark."
Sabrina looked serious, "Mew help the person who destroyed it because I will be throwing them to the feral Pokemon."
Lt Surge laughed, "Yeah, his Pokemon are protective, aren't they?"
Ash meanwhile reached Pallet town, "I made it. Thank you for your services."
Alakazam nodded, -Welcome young Aura user. Please feel free to request our services anytime you want.-
Ash, "I will. Here I have some berries for you."
Alakazam eye smiled, -We appreciate your consideration young one. Take care.-
Ash then watched the psychic Pokemon teleport before heading home, 'Being able to teleport sure is convenient.'
Lucario, -Meema, you are back.-
Ash, "Yep, how are Fearrow and Pidgeot doing?"
Lucario, -Wonderful, the nest is complete and they are ready to settle permanently.-
Ash, "That's a relief, hey Banette you know you can go play with the others now."
Banette who had been inside his shadow looked at him sheepishly, "Ban nett."
Lucario snorted, -I told you he would notice.-
Max rushed to meet him, "Ash, you are here."
Breloom was right behind him, "Bre breloom bre."
Ash, "Hello Max you look excited. You too Breloom."
Max, "Gou said Molly is joining us."
Ash, "Yes, she is this time. Her parents finally agreed it will be better than being left alone at home like last time."
Max winced recalling that incident, "Yeah."
Ash smiled, "Come on, I am starving."
Max, "I helped make dinner. Professor Oak is on a meeting tour from today so Gary is joining us."
Ash hummed, "He is always welcome to our home, too bad Red and Blue are too busy working."
Max, "Oh! I almost forgot Bill and Daisy are visiting tomorrow. They are coming with their new baby."
Ash smiled as Max chattered on, as they reached home where Delia and his aunt were making the meal. Gary was going through some papers, he had also received the green light to head to Sinnoh in a few days. Daisy and Bill joined them with their baby, Arthur who was a few months old and looking around curiously. Delia and Aunt Rose cooed and gushed over the newborn who was more interested in the Pokemon who were around him.
Gary, "Yup, definitely your son Bill."
Daisy chuckled, "Right? He always focus on Pokemon instead of people."
Bill laughed, "Well, he is my son."
Ash, "Think he will become a researcher like you?"
Max, "Or a Master Coordinator?"
Daisy, "He can be anything he wants."
Bill, "It's not like he will be on his own for it."
Delia, "Dinner!"
Rose, "Come eat!"
Dinner was very homey and passed by with gossip about the latest trend, asking about Ash's new book, inquiring plans of the new regions etc. Gary mentioned he was going to attend the Sinnoh University and focus on learning about Legendary Pokemon. Gary had a feeling Ash was going to get involved with Legendary Pokemon whether he wanted to or not. Ash had just sighed and shrugged not denying it, nor was he agreeing to it though the poke egg Mew had given him was a very obvious clue.
Gary, "I am heading out tomorrow."
Daisy nodded, "You will love Sinnoh."
Bill, "Yeah, the Universities are filled with a lot of observations and findings. The studies of Sinnoh Universities are based on practicals and on field live research. I have no doubt you will have your hands full soon enough."
Max, "That sounds like a lot of fun. Speaking of traveling Molly is joining us tomorrow right?"
Ash, "Agreed it does sound cool. Yes, since Gou is taking her under his wing she will join us with Gou tomorrow."
Gary, "I mean the information he gathered as an OFRA is really good even though he is not a battler. Traveling with a healer, trainer and coordinator really helped no doubt."
Ash, "You think so?"
Bill, "Yes, different fields deal with the situation differently. So, it makes a very interesting study."
Daisy and Bill stayed the night and the next day travelled with Gary to Vermilion City where he would catch a straight flight all the way to Sinnoh. Meanwhile Gou and Molly travelled to Pallet town, three days later, where Ash and Max were waiting for them while making sure they had everything. Max was fussing over his Pokemon, while Ash was taking care of his two poke eggs, the one he got from from Mew made him feel worried. He did wonder what was happening that it would prompt a Legendary Pokemon to lump a poke egg on a human. On the other hand the poke egg he won from Jhoto Conference, Ash was sure it was a Dragon type.
Ash, 'Lance was looking way too smug and proud for it to not be one.'
Gou, "Ash, Max, we are here."
Molly, "Ashy! Max."
Ash smiled, "Gou, Molly, you made it."
Max, "Ready to go?"
Molly nodded, "I am ready for my first adventure."
Ash, "Great because our ship is here."
Lucario, -Are you all ready?-
Meganium, "Mega."
Feraligatr, "Attr."
Typholsion, "Ty!"
Abra, -I am very excited to see another region.-
Absol, "Sol."
Eevee, "Vui."
Ash, "Great, return to your pokeballs for now everyone. I will call you once we have boarded okay?"
The Pokemon nodded and the group started to board the ship headed for Hoenn. Half way delia and the rest of Pallet town appeared to wave farewell to them. Ash then looked around searching for their room and getting settled before joining the rest on the deck. The breeze was really nice and they called the rest of their Pokemon to join them on deck. Ash was planning on rotating his Pokemon though some of his Pokemon were focused on other fields now.
Gou, "Will you rotate your Pokemon again?"
Ash, "Depends on who is free. Tyrantrum is really loving Blackthorn City."
Gou, "He is a star."
Ash, "Yes, and it has older wiser dragons who can guide him. On the other hand my Kanto trio have actual permanent jobs."
Gou, "True that."
Ash, "Annihilape still does not have the green light to be able to go to Hoenn."
Gou, "That's problematic."
Ash, "The lovers in my group are busy building families. So that cancels Beedrill, Butterfree, Pidgeot, Fearrow, Milotic, Miltank, Tauros, Wigglytuff and Kingler."
Gou, "Oh yeah! I forgot Milotic had a thing for Drew's Milotic but I didn't know Wigglytuff and Kingler had someone."
Ash, "Actually Wigglytuff and Annihilape got together last week. It was really cute, while Kingler is attracted to Gary's Kingler."
Gou, "Oh! That's cute."
Ash, "Right? That leaves me with Pikachu, Banette, Phantump, Snorlax, Magmar, Chimchar, the baby Pokemon who just started battling and the Jhoto starters."
Gou, "I think my Flareon might like your Magmar Ash."
Ash, "Well, I am not against it. Magmar is an absolute sweetheart despite his terrifying reputation."
Gou smiled, "Hear that girl? Go for it!"
Flareon looked shy, "On."
