Ezra slumped to the ground coughing up blood. He had used his last bit of strength in order to save Marcus from getting killed by Dillan.
Are you alright Ezra Marcus asked while helping Ezra to a nearby tree to lean against.
I'm fine, I just need to rest for a bit. He took out a few recovery pills and put them in his mouth. Why did you come here anyway. Erza asked, looking at Marcus.
I saw you leave the house and I waited for you to return. When you didn't come back after a long time, I got worried and went looking for you. That's when I heard fighting a little deeper in the forest. That's when I saw you fighting two people. I watched you kill one of them. I only decided to intervene when I saw you take that last attack.
As Marcus recounted his story Ezra looked at him with a grateful smile Thank you for the help back there, I wouldn't have been able to go on much longer.
He is at the first level qi gathering stage with his strength he should've been able to defeat both these people by himself. Why did he look so tired and out of energy while fighting. Marcus decided not to ask. He new Ezra had secrets who didn't.
We should get heading back now Marcus said when he finished talking.
Ezra nodded. As he shakily got up walked to Finn and Dillan's corpses and too both their storage rings. Marcus offered to help him back to the house, but he refused. As they were walking, he started circulating the Cosmic qi method. Faint starlight started to appear around him to help heal him. (Note right now he can use his qi method while walking but he can't use it while fighting)
Marcus walking next to him felt the unusual change in energy next to him as he turned to look at Ezra who was next to him, he was shocked to see faint starlight around him. He didn't recognize the energy around Ezra, all he knew was that it wasn't qi energy. But something different. He couldn't figure it out
Ezra, realizing he had shown his star energy, quickly stopped circulating his qi method. The starlight disappeared as fast as it appeared. That was close he almost figured out that I don't use qi energy but star energy
That was odd Marucs said looking at Ezra he was about to ask about it but decided against it
As they reached the house, both of them said their goodnight and both went to their rooms. Ezra sat down on his bed cross-legged wanting to heal his injuries. Although his blood had healed the very small injuries on his body. Most of his injuries were too big and he had too many for his blood to heal. He once again started using the Cosmic qi method to heal himself.
unknown to him he had been recovering for 2 days now as he finally recovered and stood up, he was overjoyed to see that he had broken through to the middle grade of the 1st qi gathering realm. It seems the more life and death situations I'm in will help me advance a lot faster. While this was a somewhat unnerving way to advance. It still was a way to advance faster.
He thought about checking his soul. He wanted to see if he could train inside his soul. He decided not to try out his theory yet realizing the others must be worried as to why he hadn't come out of his room yet. He also wanted to ask them about the phantom mist forest. He got up stretched then proceeded to take out the 2nd pair of clothes Marcus had given him. As he walked downstairs, he saw Linda and Marcus talking in the living room.
"You're finally out how are you," Lina said with joy. She and the others had learned what had happened to him from Marcus. She and the others were worried when he didn't come out for a couple of days.
I'm fine Ezra walked over two Lina and Marcus sat in a chair near them. It took a while to recover but I'm fully healed now. That's good to hear you were in pretty bad shape a few days ago Marcus said with a smile
Where are the others, he asked looking around. Sara started heading to Silvaria to get more essential. And Alex is playing with Stacy outside.
Heading to Silvaria those words sound in Ezra's head. He knew everyone was looking for him. If they found out Sara knew where he was hiding, they might harm her for not telling them where he was staying. He tried to hide his facial expressions but a little showed.
What is Linda asked noticing his face. Nothing it's nothing by the way do you both know anything about the Phantom Mist forest he asked trying to change subject.
The Phantom Mist Forest they both thought for a moment trying to remember. Wait, do you mean the Phantom Mist Forest Marcus finally remembered that name Linda also widened her shock remembering the name.
Yes, I do mean that forest what why did you sound kind of scared saying that name Ezra asked puzzled.
Linda and Marcus both looked at each other then Marcus spoke. Ezra the Phantom Mist Forest is the Forest that nobody knows what is in it or what's on the other side of it. Most people that go in never come out. Those who do come out are covered in blood and are on the verge of death those who survive never talk about what happened in the forest. Only one person every told a little about what happened. He said that when he went into the forest, he couldn't see anything, only white fog. Whenever he touched the White Fog, it would start to burn his skin and attack his organs. No matter what kind of energy he used to protect himself the fog would just ignore it and continue to burn his skin and internal organs. This person was a disciple from the Spirit Wind sect and was at the 8th level qi gather realm. This is my it's called the Phantom Mist Forest.
Ezras mouth was wide open, he was shocked by everything Marcus told him is the Phantom Mist Forest so deadly. He was pulled out of his thoughts when Marcus started speaking again.
The person also said he heard weird noises and saw strange shadows as if something was hunting him. Ezra you aren't planning on going to that forest are you Marcus asked with a concerned voice.
