Being with Urag was what Eiravyne had always needed. Throughout her life—as a Sangrever, a Verenth, and later a Skivarion—she had been shaped by forces outside of her control, pulled in every direction by expectations, manipulation, and betrayal. 

Yet, Urag had always been the one who brought out the truest, most authentic version of her since they were children.

With him, she didn't have to pretend. There were no masks, no veils of duty or manipulation, no weight of being the Sangrever heir or the Verenth daughter or a Skivarion wife. 

He made her feel human, even when the world insisted she was something more or less.

Urag had walked for what felt like hours, cradling Eiravyne effortlessly in his arms, carrying her away from the place he'd called home for so many years in the Verdant Vale Estate.
