Capítulo 138: On the Rescue

Some time ago...

"General, your phone has been ringing since earlier."

Connor, who focused on his tasks, finally turned his head when his phone had been ringing since earlier. Initially, Connor had intended to ignore all the calls. After all, usually, only people who want something from him contact him via cell phone. But seeing the foreign number, Connor's heart was unconsciously moved as he began to doubt his decision.

Moreover, the caller had persistently refused to end the call. This person was either too brave or stupid to bother Connor when everyone knew that this was Connor's working hours.

"You don't want to pick it up, General?" Lisa asked curiously. The woman was surprised because it was unusual for Connor to look so conflicted just because of an incoming call. Connor also seemed to give in. He picked up the call, hoping that his restless feelings would disappear after he picked up the unfamiliar call.
