The school day began like any other for Alex Harris, a nondescript high schooler with a penchant for blending into the background. He trudged through the halls, his backpack slung over one shoulder, avoiding eye contact and slipping past the bustling crowds of students.
As he settled into his usual seat in homeroom, a sense of unease nagged at him, a feeling he couldn't quite shake. The air seemed charged with tension, as if something ominous lurked just beyond the walls of the school.
Then, without warning, chaos erupted.
Screams pierced the air, echoing through the corridors as panic swept through the building like wildfire. Alex's heart pounded in his chest as he rose from his seat, his eyes wide with fear. He rushed to the window, his hands trembling as he pulled back the blinds to reveal a scene straight out of a nightmare.
Dark figures which resembled humans, but had no eyes, ears, canien teeth with purplish skin, their movements were somewhat awkward as they swarmed the streets below, their twisted forms devouring everything in their path. Alex's breath caught in his throat as he watched in horror, unable to tear his gaze away from the carnage unfolding before him.
In the midst of the chaos, a single figure emerged from the shadows, its eyes gleaming with malice as it stalked straight towards the school building. Alex's blood ran cold as he realized the danger they were in, his mind racing with fear and uncertainty.
Without hesitation, he knew he had to act otherwise like in Novels , he read. It would be a disaster . With a surge of adrenaline, he bolted from the classroom, his instincts kicking in as he raced down the hallways, dodging debris and desperate screams.
Finally, he reached the source of the commotion, his heart pounding in his ears as he faced off against the dark being that threatened his schoolmates. With every fiber of his being, he fought back, his body moving on instinct as he and some other schoolmates battled against the monstrous creature.
Despite the odds stacked against him and his companions, Alex refused to back down. With each blow, he felt a surge of determination coursing through his veins, driving him to protect people, which will soon be snacks of the terrible monster in front of him, If he falls.
But the monster had terrible strength, as he and other's fought while using makeshift weapons like broom and others thing's. As Alex and other fought the shadow creature, they were getting familiar with working with each other.
Alex body, was accumulating scratches and other Injuries but he wasn't feeling any of them, the reason was unknown to him maybe it was Adrenaline.
Alex felt that hours had passed but in reality, it was only a few minute's fighting the dreadful shadow purplish creature.
Just as he was, pussing the monster away. He heard a stiffled scream behind him.. where the terrible monster had come from, there were more creatures pouring in, their numbers which cannot be counted on one hand.In despair, He burst out with inhuman strength, trying to kill the shadow creature in last ditch effort. While the shadow creatures were already very close to him.
Alex felt regret in playing hero, but he knew that, he wouldn't be able to survive anyway, if he hides in a corner. Those creatures probably had some short of ability which help's it find it's meals. otherwise, it wouldn't have ran straight to the school like a madman.
And then, just when it seemed like all hope was lost, he delivered the final blow, his strength spent but his spirit unbroken. As the creature crumbled to the ground, defeated, a strange symbol appeared before Alex's eyes, glowing softly in the darkness.
As he reached out to touch it, a wave of dizziness washed over him, his vision swimming as the world faded to black.
When he awoke, he found himself lying amidst the ruins of the school, surrounded by corpses, both of humans and the shadow creature,he had killed. It seemed that the shadow creatures which had swarmed from the school gate had ignored Alex, for some unknown reason.
Alex's body was battered and bruised but his spirit stronger than ever. And as he looked up at the sky, he knew that his life would never be the same again.
the protagonist might seem self righteous and stupid in the beginning but he will develop and become cold hearted in future.
