Capítulo 23: The New Head Librarian
Dante laughed at Jenny's statement.
"Ha ha, why would someone assume that just because you use dark magic, you are a Death Eater? The people behind this attack certainly are not that creative. They should have used a sneak attack."
Jenny just listened to what Dante had to say, then nodded in agreement, saying, "Dante, I agree that it sounds like the people behind this attack did not take either of you seriously at all. I would normally tell you not to mind something like this because attacks like this are common for people with no established background like you. But with that man's head exploding before he could answer you... That is a magic I have not seen in a long time."
Freya looked at Jenny after this statement and said, "Jenny, I'm not too worried about these people. They are not even on the same level as normal Death Eaters. But I'm more surprised that wizards just stand still when they fight with magic. I could take those six people out in this fight fifty ways until Sunday if I wanted to."
Jenny bent over to examine the body of the man whose head blew up on its own. Then, while still examining the man, she answered Freya, "That's an accurate statement, Freya. Humans have indeed regressed a lot when it comes to combat, but even more so concerning magic in the past few centuries. They seem to never learn from their previous mistakes either. For instance, wizards should not normally need a wand unless you are an exceptionally powerful wizard.
But suddenly, one day along comes the idea of requiring wands for every wizard. The result can only be imagined. With an aid like a wand, magic becomes easier to perform, resulting in the overall decline in magical ability and strength. Without the ability to suffer and endure to learn magic, most humans have lost the ambition to strive harder so that they can achieve strength in the pursuit of the essence of magic."
Both Freya and Dante nodded their heads in understanding of this statement. Both of them had gone through their fair share of suffering.
Freya looked at Jenny and then said with amusement, "Jenny, we are not worried about this mystery at all. If it were not amusing to us to explore the decline of magic in the Wizarding World, we would not have come here to have fun."
Jenny, upon hearing this statement, jumped up to her feet and stood in front of Freya and Dante. Then she said to Freya, "I agree. It's of little concern to me what mortals do these days, either. However, since you two walked into my store, I've decided to take an interest in the outside world again. With both of you here, trouble is sure to follow you wherever you go. Where are you two heading when you are done in London?"
Dante answered Jenny's question, "We are going to coerce our way into being teachers at Hogwarts. When shit hits the fan, that is where it will be with Harry Potter attending this coming year at Hogwarts."
Jenny nodded at the name of Hogwarts. "Oh, you mean the human school those four kids created a few centuries back. That Gryffindor kid was always a troublemaker, taking what does not belong to him from the goblins."
Dante nodded at this statement. It would be an understatement to say that the goblins are not still upset about losing the sword of Gryffindor, one of their greatest creations.
Freya suddenly had a good idea, so looking at Jenny, she said, "Jenny, why don't you come with us to Hogwarts to have fun? You could take up the position of head librarian there."
Jenny struck a thinking pose as she considered this idea. It was true that she needed to retrieve several books that were borrowed from her, from the forbidden book section at Hogwarts. But she had more than books she needed to retrieve.
Jenny made a decision, responding to Freya.
