Capítulo 8: Dormitories And Odd Encounters

I'm also occasionally chilling in JaxWolf4's (Author of Nah, I'd Adapt) Discord Server. It's a chaotic lobotomy mess. Not for the faint of heart.

-Story Start-

-Third Person POV-

Beside the school's breathtaking Boulevard and the lively Park, stood four modern building units, their glass walls gleaming under the sun.

Fifteen stories tall and granting a beautiful view of the ocean, these were none other than the official Student Dormitories.

Modern and rather extravagant would be an apt description, especially when considering this was provided to high schoolers.

Such were the thoughts of both Todo Aoi and the TV-carrying Itadori Yuuji.

While Yuuji let out an impressed whistle, his eyes wide with admiration, Aoi nodded thoughtfully, "As expected of this prestigious institution."

Without further issue, they strolled casually toward the complex that held the group of four buildings - Specifically toward the building with a large sign at its entrance with the writing:

"1st Year Dormitories".

Glancing at the proximity to the ocean, Yuuji mumbled rather dumbly, "You think they'll let us go out for a swim in the ocean when it gets a little hotter?"

Aoi nodded dumbly as well, "Yes. Though I have no doubt there is an adequate swimming pool here if we don't want to swim on the beach."

"...Do they have a beach here? I mean artificial island and all..." Yuuji murmured in curiosity.

Eventually, they reached the entrance to the dorms, passing by a couple of students, all of whom were from other 1st year classes, their excited chatter filling the air with a sense of adventure and novelty.

Until Yuuji recognized one of his classmates, "Yo! Sotomura right?" He called out to the glasses-wearing otaku.

Blinking, Sotomura waved back to Yuuji as he approached them, "Ah, Todo-sama and Itadori-sama. It is a pleasant coincidence indeed."

His eyes darted to the TV that Yuuji held, "Oh, a fine choice for a streaming device. What might be the price of this?"

"200,000 Points," Aoi answered without hesitation.

Sotomura's eyes widened as his mouth gaped openly, stammering out, "T-Two hundred thousand..."

Chuckling, as he lifted his glasses, "Admirable. Indeed it is admirable. Use all your monthly points to feed your passion for television. But tell me, how shall you purchase manga with no currency?"

Shaking his head, Yuuji stated, "Ah, no we managed to finance this TV." He lifted it up with ease, causing Sotomura to blink at the strength, "So it's 20,000 Points a month for ten months, that way we can manage it."

Stroking his chin, Sotomura whispered, "Finance is it..."

Lifting a finger he exclaimed, with his archaic Japanese tone, "That is genius! I shall remember this stratagem. Thank you, my honorable classmates. I will depart for the electronic store now, I bid you, Farwell." Bowing politely, Sotomura passed by Aoi and Yuuji, intent on heading to Keyaki Mall.

"Cya later! If you pass by the manga section in the convenience store and find anything interesting I'd appreciate you buying it for me! I'll send you the points back!" Yuuji waved with a friendly smile.

"I second that." Aoi nodded with folded arms.

"Naturally." Sotomura nodded honorably from a decent distance.

Only for him to pause at a call out from Aoi.

"Halt," Aoi commanded with a grave tone.

Turning to face him, Sotomura was confronted by Aoi's deadly serious expression, the weight of the question pressing down on him.

A weight that made Sotomura sweat, "What is it, Todo-sama?"

Gently lifting a finger and pointing at Sotomura, Aoi questioned:

"What is your type of woman? If you like men that's fine too."

The question sent chills down Yuuji's and Sotomura's spines.

An atmosphere of silent apprehension enveloped the trio, as Yuuji gave a reassuring nod to Sotomura and a rather awkward thumbs up that sent a rather vague message:

"I'll hold him back for you."

A message that was lost on Sotomura who replied without a moment's hesitation.

He didn't ask Aoi for the purpose or relevancy behind the question.

It was a simple question, after all.

Despite Aoi's serious and rather threatening demeanor, there's no way answering this question wrongly would lead to any deadly consequence.

Right?

"My type, you ask? In that case, it is rather simple," Sotomura declared, straightening his posture as if preparing for a grand speech, his eyes shining with zeal.

It seemed the question awakened something in Sotomura, leading into a zealous and rather heated speech, "2D! I LIKE MY WOMEN 2D! WHILE 3D WOMEN DO HAVE THEIR APPEAL, 2D ARE INFINITELY SUPERIOR! 3D WOMEN CAN GO RIGHT TO HELL! MY CURVACEOUS, KIND, LOVELY, CUTE, AND CARING 2D WOMEN AND WAIFUS ARE EVERYTHING THAT IS GREAT AND BRIGHT IN THIS WORLD!"

Unfortunately for Sotomura, some 1st years from other classes, especially women paused and could only whisper:

"Eww, what a creep."

"He'll never get a girlfriend with that attitude."

"At least he's honest about himself? Whatever makes him happy..."

A slight blush of embarrassment took hold of Sotomura, as he mumbled, "I-It seems I have lost emotional control the-"

Only for Aoi's hand on his shoulder to cease his apology.

Shaking his head, Aoi flashed a gentle smile as a tear dripped down his face, "Not bad, my respectable acquaintance."

-------------------------------

In an empty classroom, filled with many seats, and a whiteboard.

A strange sight was present.

A majestic, puppy-sized, golden-scaled Dragon with amethyst eyes and amethyst lines in the gaps between his scales sat beside the whiteboard.

Holding up a stick called a pointer, he, appropriately, pointed at the whiteboard.

"Hellooooooo, everyone!" He called out with glee, waving around his paw-hand thing in a friendly greeting.

"Today's lecture is brought to you by... None other than me! Merlin the Dragon! Yeah, I know I know, you are all big fans. No need to cry~!"

Slapping the pointer on the whiteboard, the text began appearing, with the topic of the lecture being visible to all.

"Anyway! Today's topic is... "Todo Aoi's Friendship and Interest Tier System!""

"Ahem! It works like this..."

He pointed at each individually:

"On the bottom we have..."

Extremely Boring = Hated = Cripple/Kill if possible and never talk with ever again.

"Second to last we got..."

Boring = Disdained = Beat up not so badly and talk only when necessary.

"Now for the neutral option!"

So-so = Acquaintance = No violence, occasional conversation.

"So, it's important to note that all individuals Mister Boogie Woogie has met and yet to ask them of their taste and discern their character through that vital question are automatically delegated to the "So-so" Tier!"

"Time for the positive ones!"

Mildly Interesting = Respectable Acquaintance = Casual conversation and a degree of respect for their personality.

"It's vital to mention that Mister Boogie Woogie's respect isn't only tied to their taste! He can reluctantly respect a formidable hated individual! So remember kids! If you have trash taste in women! You just gotta be an impressive academic or an impressive athlete to get the coveted Boogie Woogie respect!"

Interesting = Friend = Todo Aoi will reach out and help whenever possible, with a good amount of respect and a degree of loyalty.

"Fun fact, Gojo Satoru is placed in the "Interesting" Tier for Aoi Todo! He must have an exquisite taste! HHAHAHAHAHHAH! Well, not this Todo Aoi, but meh, Parallel Universe semantics."

Captivating = Best Friend/Brother = Todo Aoi's undying loyalty, respect, and support as well as presence.

"Currently, only Itadori Yuuji has managed to be designated in the prestigious "Captivating" Tier. Will anyone else in the future manage to achieve this degree of interest from Mister Boogie Woogie?!"

"Find out in the future! Hope you've enjoyed today's lecture and... Goodbye!"

-------------------------------

"R-Respectable acquaintance?" Sotomura repeated in slight bewilderment as Aoi's reassuring pat on the shoulder curbed some of his embarrassment.

"Don't question it..." Yuuji mumbled in a deadpan.

Nodding, Sotomura replied, "I-I'll be departing now."

Sotomura's steps echoed lightly on the ground as his distancing figure grew smaller and smaller in the eyes of our eccentric duo.

Blinking, Yuuji mentioned, "Okay, let's get going."

Aoi nodded, adding "We'll have to check if there is a gym in these dorms. It would be efficient if that were to be the case."

"True."

-------------------------------

The interior of the ground floor of the 1st year dormitories was, as expected, akin to a decent hotel:

A reception area.

A bunch of sofas for leisure.

Vending machines.

Staff room.

A gym - Yet to be approved by Yuuji and Aoi.

And more, all wrapped in a modern design package.

Standing before the staff member responsible for the Dormitory and Rooms of the 1st year building, Yuuji quickly scanned the information card and read aloud:

"So... The first seven floors of the building are for the boys. While from the 8th to the 14th floor are for the girls?"

The woman staff member nodded, "That is correct."

"And, the boys aren't allowed in the area where the girls live after 8 pm."

She nodded once more, "That's the rules."

Yuuji hummed as he eyed the green card holding the passcode to his room, "Say, can I make multiple copies of this?" He waved the card around in her face.

She smiled, "3,000 Points each please!"

Yuuji's expression twisted into a soulless dead one, as he listlessly took out his phone and paid the necessary expenditure, mumbling a complaint, "...I think I'm seeing a pattern here."

A moment later, she drew out another green card, as Yuuji extended his hand to grab the second card.

His eyes fixed on the room number, "703..." He mumbled.

Sighing, he turned to his Besto Furendo:

There he was, on his knees as if an invisible great pressure pressed down on him.

Tears flowed like a waterfall from his eyes, as he clutched that small green card between his powerful fingers.

That was indeed, the visage of a man suffering from a great tragedy.

Yuuji's eyes narrowed at the card, seeing the number of:

Room 104.

"Alright, get up, it's not that bad..." Yuuji slapped Aoi's back reassuringly.

Aoi sniffled, "I-It is brother... Five million points to move to the room closest to you... It is not an amount I can procure on the first day. E-Even Takada-chan said so."

Sweatdropping, Yuuji asked, "Dude, when did you even get the chance to talk to her...?"

-------------------------------

Following Aoi's grand tragedy, Yuuji handed Aoi the copied keycard to his room and they headed towards one of the duo elevators.

The doors slid open, revealing a relatively familiar figure.

Or more like, two familiar figures.

Two classmates.

"Yo! Karuizawa-san! Ayanokoji-san! You two heading to the convenience store?" Yuuji greeted them.

"Yes." A monotone response from the Ayanokoji, who neutrally eyed Yuuji carrying the heavy packaged TV without issue.

"No way! I'm heading straight to the mall to buy the good clothes before they run out! We're not heading anywhere together. Don't lump us together, bye." She said with a mixture of vehemence and excitement as she rushed off, leaving a stupefied trio.

Well, Todo Aoi is never stupefied, completely unfazed when Karuizawa glared at him with visible disgust, so we'll exclude him.

Yuuji frowned, "That was a little bitchy of her... Sorry about that dude, don't take it personally maybe she had a bad day or somethin."

Ayanokoji blinked, as he nodded, "It's fine." He answered completely unaffected.

With a small nod of recognition, Ayanokoji departed, his distancing figure disappearing as the elevator doors slid to a close.

Yuuji offered, "Call me after you're done settling in, hopefully, I'll finish installing this bad boy and we can head to the convenience store." He smiled in excitement as he patted the packaged television.

"No need to hurry, brother. I shall appraise the gym here should you be delayed in your task. If you experience any difficulty in the installation, do call me despite my lacking expertise in that department." Aoi stated matter of factly, as the door slid open to the 1st floor.

The hulking man, separated from Yuuji willingly.

A rare and momentous occasion indeed.

But for his brother's greater good and growth, Todo Aoi was always willing to make sacrifices.

-------------------------------

The doors of the elevator slid open, and Yuuji was greeted with the hallway of the 7th floor where his room was located.

Casually making his way, his eyes scanning the room numbers, eventually, he paused before the entrance to his room, identified by the clear number of:

"Room 703. This is the place." Yuuji mumbled as he took out the keycard from his pocket with his free hand.

Opening the door with a creak, intent on entering only to pause when:

An impressed hum followed by a blunt and demanding tone caught his attention, "Which class are you from?"

Yuuji turned, carrying the heavy load without issue, his eyes met with a figure leaning beside an open door right in front of him.

His neighbor, his mind registered.

That man was...

-Author's Note Start-

HOLY SHIT!

IT'S A MERLIN CAMEO! (Burger Veterans and Masochistic readers might recognize this pal)

Anywho, hope this chappy was to your enjoyment!

The pacing and order of events for this will be different than Canon Classroom Of The Elite.

Obviously, since it follows Yuuji and Aoi.

For example... They will be joining a club.

And that Club will be relevant for their story.

So yeah.

Keep that in mind that this is not a COPY PASTE EVENTS LMAOOOOO

Some things will stay the same.

Some things will change.

All depends on Todo and Itadori's impact and effect on the plot.

That's about it!

Cya later!

And I'd appreciate any criticism or feedback so I can improve my writing and plot-weaving techniques!
