‘’I'll get back to you both later,’’ Mrs. Smith said while narrowing her eyes at the twins, finally breaking the spell of stillness. ‘’We have guests over. They’re our new neighbors. Be nice and please introduce yourselves.’’

With a hesitant smile on her face as she peered up at us, the young lady smiled. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a sloppy bun on her head, with a few strands carelessly dangling, framing her angular face, which had prominent cheekbones, and framing her eyes. Her eyes were clear and grey with a slight crimson tint, as if she'd been crying for hours.

‘’My name is Mandy,’’ she said after pausing and turning her head to face her brother, who was still stunned on the spot looking at me. ‘’And that's my twin brother, Billy.’’
