STELLA’s POV
I blinked several times when I felt the soft warmth of sunlight touched my face. I slowly got up and stretched my limbs looking for Luna beside me, but I couldn’t find her. I couldn’t find a clock on my nightstand and no Debra shouting at early in the morning.
I smiled, contented. This was the very first morning that no one disturbed me in my sleep. But then something caught my eye. A man? And he was peacefully sleeping beside me? I couldn’t recognize him because he has a face mask on? Why did he have to wear a mask in his sleep?
Oh God!
My eyes widened when I looked around the unfamiliar room and swallowed the panic climbing up my throat. Where the hell am I? And what is that horrible smell?
“Don’t panic, Stella.” I muttered, taken aback by the foul taste in my mouth. I took several deep breaths to calm my pounding heart and tried to assess my situation.
