Cole's POV

"Is everything alright?" Celine questioned. She must have noticed how uptight I felt.

"Yeah, it's okay." I faked a smile as I continued digging into my pancakes.

"Uhm...I think your phone is ringing." Celine pointed out.

I knew it was ringing, and I knew who was calling—Ashley. I didn't want her to know I was in contact with Ashley; it would complicate a lot of things for me.

"Yeah, it's just one of my business friends. He needs a loan." I lied.

"You're rich, Cole. I'm sure you can handle it." The blonde lady reached her hands across the table and played a little with my fingers.

It was irritating. If only it was Ashley that touched me that way.

"Yeah, you are right. But this person in question won't pay me back."

"Well, if that's the case, I support you." Look at how she was mentioning support as if we were already a couple.

"Thank you." I smiled and finally muted my phone.
