The moonlight filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. Carmen and I lay in bed, the world outside forgotten as we were wrapped up in each other. There was a stillness in the air, a calm that only came when I was with her, and I wanted to savor every moment.

Carmen was leaving tomorrow, and the thought of being apart from her again made my heart ache. But tonight, I wanted to forget about the distance and focus on the love we shared.

She was lying on her side, facing me, her hand gently tracing patterns on my arm. Her touch was light, almost as if she was afraid I might disappear if she pressed too hard. I loved these quiet moments with her, when words weren't necessary, and we could simply be together.

"You're beautiful," Carmen whispered, her voice barely more than a breath. Her eyes were soft, full of affection as she gazed at me. "I don't tell you that enough."
