The helicopter ride back to Stark Tower was filled with tense silence. Tony's mind raced ahead to the impending confrontation with Nick Fury. He knew he couldn't avoid SHIELD's scrutiny forever, especially not with Pepper Potts involved.
Stepping into his luxurious penthouse, Tony's irritation flared at the sight of Fury casually chatting with Pepper on the couch.
"I hope you haven't been giving my assistant a hard time, Fury. She's got better things to do than entertain unexpected guests," Tony quipped, masking his unease with sarcasm.
Fury arched an eyebrow, unfazed by Tony's brash demeanor. "You've been dodging my calls, Stark. Figured I'd drop by in person."
Tony's jaw tightened at the mention of his recent escapades. "Lost and found, Fury. I prefer the term 'tactical retreat' to 'defeat'."
Pepper shot Tony a warning look before addressing Fury. "Nick, what brings you here?"
Fury's steely gaze locked onto Tony. "I'm here about the incident at the bank. We've uncovered some troubling leads."
Tony's interest piqued at the mention of new developments. "Go on..."
As Fury briefed him on the Extremis virus and its potential implications, Tony's mind raced with possibilities. "So, we're dealing with a bio-engineered threat now. Lovely."
Fury nodded grimly. "And it seems these attacks are just the beginning. We need to act fast."

Tony's jaw clenched in determination. "I'm well aware, Fury. And I intend to do whatever it takes to protect them."
As Fury made his exit, Tony turned to Pepper with a weary sigh. "Looks like it's gonna be another long night, Pep. Better cancel those dinner reservations."
Pepper offered him a reassuring smile. "I'll order in. And Tony? Try to get some rest tonight. You're no good to anyone running on fumes."
Tony nodded, the weight of the world heavy on his shoulders. But as he settled into his work, fueled by a potent mix of determination and caffeine, he knew one thing for certain:
