I think I was the first to drop to my knees, even before Mia.

I didn't think I could tell the truth. It was too late, but what would happen if Vulcan eventually found out himself? He'd skin me alive? Well, probably worse.

As my mouth tried to go against my body and open to utter a word, I immediately pinched myself to shut it.

Odessa went down on only one knee, probably out of fear of knowing what Vulcan was capable of, but yet, she scowled at him. "Vulcan, I've only been here for seconds and already being accused," she said, her tone serious and disappointed.

Ariana, on the other hand, bent to kneel, but didn't. Vulcan had his fingers gripping his hair, his back turned to us.

"I'm honestly at a loss for words. Why would anyone even want to steal? It's not me, Vulcan. I wasn't raised to steal. Wasn't raised that way," Ariana stated.
