Grace walked into the house after she couldn't find a job. She was tired and frustrated. "Why couldn't they hire me even when they wrote online that they needed a worker?" she frowned, and without lifting her head, she walked upstairs to her bedroom.

She pushed the door open and found a figure by the window. "Mr. Xu," she called, and he turned and glared at her.

His gaze frightened her as he scanned her body. "Where are you coming from?" he asked, and her lips trembled.

"I went to look for a job."

"With who?" He wanted her to be truthful with him. Grace didn't answer; she didn't want to lie again, and she also didn't want to call Seb's name. He had explained to her that he was meant to follow her in the shadows, so if Mr. Xu finds out that she spotted him, then he will kill her.
